We had an excellent meal, something that doesn’t happen everywhere on New Year’s Eve .
Service was attentive but not overbearing. Drinks and wine were very good. I highly recommend it.
I had been wanting to go here for a while. I have heard great things. I reserved a table with Open Table and told them it was to celebrate a 60th birthday. When we were seated, the Host wished my friend a happy birthday, but that was the last of it. My friends are foodies and I was excited to treat them to a good experience. Her husband loved the clam chowder, she and I shared the Foie gras, which was almost burt to a crisp. I had the short ribs for the main course that was recommended and was good. Her husband had a cod dish which he like. She didn't say much about her pasta dish, which means it was just OK. For dessert, we ordered a eggnog Crème Brûlée that was hard, like it was old and unflavorful. We ordered the brownie sundae that was a square piece of brownie, a smear of hot fudge that was dried out and a dollop of whip cream. Very uninspired. Something was burt, not sure if was the brownie or the hot fudge. We mentioned to our waiter, and also that my friends birthday wasn't even acknowledged, even with a candle on the brownie. He ran away, but did remove the desserts from the check. I am guessing the regular chef was not working that Thursday night.
While the ambience is good but the food was less than to be expected. I have dined here before in the past and the food was exquisite but this occasion not one person in our party of 8 had a good meal. The cod was very dry and pasty, the meat was overdone, the duck was gamey, and our waitstaff took a long time to take our order for both drinks and the meal. This was on a day when the restaurant was half empty as well. While the location is one of a kind, in a renovated church, the food and waitstaff left much to be desired. I would have hoped for almost $500 to give my out of town guests more of an experience.
We had a great time. Love the restaurant. Great food .
Food was just incredibly ordinary and quite expensive. No one was raving about their dinner. Won't be back.
Our dining experience was perfect. The server polite and attentive. Food was delicious and an interesting menu. The piano music was great especially because its the Christmas season.
The food was tremendous and the service was excellent. Highly recommended.
This is a very beautiful restaurant located in an old church. I found the food to be good, but not spectacular.
We are there for diner, but we have been there for lunch and it has been very good.
We had a wonderful time with friends at The Belfry. The rib shank was excellent. Service was a little slow getting drinks and placing our order. However, there was no rush to leave which was great because the music and ambiance were very enjoyable.
