Belfry Inn and Bistro
The facility is beautiful. The pianist certainly a treat. We waited close to an hour for our food, and then additional 30 minutes for dessert. The food was average for the price. Our waiter was excellent.
Had a wonderful Saturday date night at the Belfry Inn and Bistro. We were greeted warmly, our server was lovely - just the right amount of attention and the food was so delicious. Add some piano music in a unique venue....we will be back.
Wonderful food fantastic piano player will becoming back as a regular
Outstanding in every regard!
Lovely environment in this one of a kind location. Loved the piano man.
Excellent setting, service outstanding We will come back for special event soon
We were disappointed by the quality of the food.
The raw materials were not the quality we have experienced in the past at your establishment.
I had the beef filet & my partner had the rack of lamb.
Frankly, I can go to Windfall Market in Falmouth, purchase better quality of meat, & make a better meal at home than we had in your restaurant.
Also, every time we come, the wine we order is out of stock & we are forced to make another choice.
On a positive note, our waitress was most pleasant & professional.
Make sure you request the main dining room if you want the full experience and pleasure of dining in a former church. You lose the ambiance in the back room. The food was delicious and beautifully prepared. Modest portions if you are a big eater unless you order appetizers, salads etc. which are all an additional cost to a pricey menu. Service was slower than one would expect but we weren't in a hurry.
Food was fabulous! We each had a different entree and loved each one! Chef Niki has outdone himself again!
My Best Dining Experience in Sandwich
After a week of dining at recommended restaurants in the area, I finally made it to the Belfry Bistro. The Bistro had it all: ambiance, food, service. Ambiance was quiet and peaceful, soft piped in piano music (piano next to the hearth indicated live music some nights). Menu choices were fabulous for such a condensed list, presentation and flavor were outstanding.
I started with the Crab and Avocado Sphere, plating was nicely done, flavors were lovely. Pan Seared Scallops on Lobster Risotto had perfectly cooked scallops and risotto, with lots of lobster in the risotto. Finished with the Molten Chocolate Cake with Kahlua Ice Cream.
Spend the money, it is worth it.
Cool venue = Old converted church. Service was enthusiastic but a little amateurish. They overreached with the lobster and gnocchi but otherwise tasty, with very good key lime pie dessert.
The food at Belfry Inn and Bistro was solidly good, not exceptional. Everyone enjoyed their entree's but there are finer dining establishments on Cape Cod. The ambiance is what detracted for our party - the room itself is interesting and nice, but it felt a bit stiff (needs more fun vibe), and something about the atmosphere made it feel like the target audience was the 65+ crowd. Maybe it was the piano player who was playing lounge music the entire team - needs more energetic, fun, buzz.
The Clam Chowder outstanding! Best I've had and I have had a lot over the last 60+ years.
Excellent food. Slow service.
Everything First Class! My wife and I there for the first time, we will definitely go back.
Our friends were impressed with everything! Many thanks!
Never disappointed. We keep coming back with family and friends. Doesn’t need to be a special occasion. The food itself is a special occasion!
Excellent food and the service is always the best. The atmosphere is very warm and romantic.
We have celebrated many special occasions.
We had a wonderful time at the Belfry Inn. Our waitress, Laurie was great and the food was delicious and beautifully presented.
My husband and son were still talking about how delicious their salmon special was the morning after we went for dinner. I equally enjoyed the duck entrée. Appetizers (Tuna, Caesar salad and tomato bisque and dessert (sampler special) were notable as well.
Every time that we have visited the Bistro, we have enjoyed excellent, personable service. Also, we greatly enjoyed the background piano music. The musician is incredibly talented.
The Bistro appeared to be booked up the night we attended, and we were seated in a small room with one table, located off of the main dining room. While the room was intimate, next time we will request a table in the main room to better enjoy the cool ambiance offered by this former Catholic church.
Wonderful restaurant! Great atmosphere, awesome service and delicious food! Highly recommend!
Wonderful old place excellent food and fantastic music will certainly go back
Everything about our dinner at the Belfry was superb and once we switched tables to a room away from the piano the noise level was good too.
A gem. Excellent, inspired food in an elegant, civilized but welcoming setting.
Fantastic dinner. We’re thinking we’ll make it an annual event for our anniversary.
Our appetizer and entrees were excellent! Service was well paced. The interior decor is interesting and beautiful. Very enjoyable!
Food and ambiance are excellent. As with most upscale restaurants, it is very expensive here and the plates are small.
We come for special occasions because it’s a little pricey. However, it is worth every penny. The food and presentation are delicious and the staff is very professional. It is a beautiful setting.
As always, great food, great service. The Belfry has great atmosphere and decor. The live piano compliments the overall dining experience. For a party of 2 there are a few remote location tables tucked away. Which can be good and bad depending on you mood.
We enjoy going to this wonderful restaurant for all the reasons we give it 5 stars. The service is great, the food is terrific and we enjoy the piano music while dining to be a soothing to our dining experience.
We had a reservation and arrived early. We were very happy when we were seated right away.
Our table was nice and close enough to piano but not so we couldn't have a conversation. Nice back ground music!! I had ordered the prayer-tini, but got a pear tini, not a big deal but I think
our waitress was hard of hearing, as I repeated 3 times. Either way it was great martini.
My appetizer was delicious as was my husbands, avocado over crab and tuna.
Entrees were fabulous, salmon and filet. But the star was the desserts!!! I had the crème brulee
with the carmel ice cream......OMG my husband would debet me because he had the strawberries with the whipped cream cloud on top. Neither one of us were disappointed. All in all it was fabulous, would highly recommend.
Everything was fabulous! Our meals, the service and Jamie Conway on piano ! Thank you!
The food was outstanding and the service was impeccable.
We have gone the last three years to celebrate our wedding anniversary.
I’ve always had a great experience here but this was not up to the usual high standards. We had friends in from FL and wanted a great experience. Initially even though the main dining room was pretty quiet they sat us in a side room where you couldn’t experience the beauty of the place. We asked to be moved which they accommodated. Our waitress was very nice yet stemmed inexperienced. I ordered the duck. It was over cooked and the edges were actually hard. I told the waitress and it ended there. No follow up. No manager. No offer to correct. My partner had the scallop and lobster and the risotto was chalky. Very disappointing experience especially since every other time was great. Hoping If was just an off night
We love going to the Belfry-it is a beautiful place for a romantic dinner and the talented piano player is the perfect compliment to the ambience. It is a bit pricey- but the quality is there. A lovely place - especially on a chilly fall or winters night!
Excellent as usual. Been there 5 times since moving to the area in June. Consistent experience.
The food and wait service was outstanding. The tuna was a perfect rare and the duck breast was cooked medium as requested. One of our party has a garlic intolerance and though her meal did not have garlic in it, the server assured us that most entrees can be altered to eliminate the garlic.
The only criticism was that the hostess had us sitting right next to the piano. She did finally move us, but not without difficulty. There were plenty of open tables both at the time we sat down and throughout our meal. It makes no sense to me that she would have given us such a hard time.
Totally enjoyed a delicious dinner here!! We had a reservation and we seated immediately even though it was an August weekend. They had chilled corn soup as a special and it was to die for!! Crab and avocado sphere was also good. For entrees we had the tuna and scallops - again very good! Service was also very friendly and efficient. We’ll return!!
Scallops and lobster risotto was excellent!!!
