Have been here several times before - always extremely happy. Had out of state friends visiting who live in NYC and PA who also thought that the food and ambiance were outstanding. Cannot wait to return for another fabulous meal.

Our first meal inside since March of 2020 and we selected Belfry. Yet another outstanding meal with impeccable service (thank you Laura). The soup of the day--a chilled watermelon and tomator gazpacho with crab meat--was a special surprise. Delightful evening.

Outside patio was loud with small kids and families, moved into the inside main restaurant to a quieter, more comfortable dinner setting. Food was excellent, service great. Much happier to enjoy "normal" again!

You could argue that dining at the Belfry Inn and Bistro is a unique experience because you wouldn’t expect to find such an extraordinary restaurant in the small town of Sandwich which, after all, is not considered a high-end Cape Cod destination. However, for those that really know Sandwich, the impressive food, wine selection, and knowledge of the kitchen by the wait staff, all presented in a beautiful church turned inn and restaurant, is not at all a surprise.

As is usual, we greatly enjoyed our dinner. Great service, well mixed drinks, fine food. The pear and endive salad is a delicious dish. We will certainly be back.

Always a fun and intimate spot. Staff was courteous and food delicious. There was a wine and food event going on in the garden which seemed to take priority over the regular dining guests.

We had a nice, pleasant meal to commemorate my spouse's birthday. The interior setting of the Belfry Inn and Bistro is very pleasant. The service was prompt and courteous. We would be happy to return there in the future.

It is a very quaint place… interesting as it used to be a church! They have done a wonderful job with the ambience inside and out. The food is also beautifully prepared and presented and was delicious! We will definitely go back again.. and spend some extra time in the garden! A great choice for dinner for 2 or more!

We were staying near Sandwich MA and tried Belfry Bistro. The dining environment is quite special and elegant since it is located in a former church building. The menu is inspired by European (French, Spanish) cuisines with a local Cape Cod twist. We ordered local oysters, grilled octopus, duck confit and grilled swordfish. Everything was excellent from ingredients to presentation. I have had many duck confit dishes before and their version is very good and special that comes with very crispy skins and a blackberry balsamic gastrique. The swordfish was fresh and tender, the sauce was refreshing and light with a touch of mustard flavor. Overall, it was a very delightful experience and this is the best fine-dining restaurant in the area.

This was our first time to this restaurant. Every table was taken, but the tables were nicely spaced out. We were the closest table to the bar, but the bar area is small and was not noisy. We were there the first weekend COVID restrictions were lifted. Our waitress was great and the food was wonderful. It is a pricier menu, so probably not something we would do often, but perfect for celebrating our anniversary.

A fabulous experience at the Belfry, and will DEFINITELY return. You cannot beat the ambience at this restaurant. Our service from our waiter Jaffar was impeccable - extremely attentive to our needs. The food was prepared very well. I particularly loved the special Thai soup and my husband loved the Foie Gras, oysters Rockefeller and his scallop and risotto dinner was fabulous. Overall, a 5-star experience, which we haven't had to this level locally anywhere else.

Went to celebrate my birthday. Food, wine and service (Laurie) were outstanding. Our table was near the door so we received occasional blasts of cold air when people entered or exited. The restaurant was modestly full and music was playing so it was not as quiet as remember in the past...okay but different. We will return!
