We went there for New Year’s Eve dinner, there were four courses for $75 each person, the food was standard really standard and they were forcing us to eat 4 courses one after another one without even having time to breathe! A complete rush. I won’t go again we paid $227 for two people and we didn’t enjoy the food or the time
Thank you for the feedback. The State mandated 25% occupancy, 90 minutes and closure at 9:30. Guests arrived late impacted our ability to seat other diners. We did state on the menu the restrictions and are so sorry if this impacted your experience. We tried to accommodate everyone as normal as we could. Chef Nicci created a special menu for the occasion classic Beef and Salmon Wellington. Please contact us directly for renumeration. We wish guests would understand our situation.
The Belfry never disappoints, New Years Eve was lovely spent at the Inn. Dining room decorated elegantly. Dinner choices very nice. Enjoyed our conversations with Christopher. Stayed in the Tuesday room for a change of pace as we usually stay in the Friday room. Fireplace and the spa tub were great. The Inn is both quiet and elegant and of course, includes a tasty breakfast each morning. If you get a chance, you should check this place out, highly recommended. Service with a smile as always.
The atmosphere was beautiful and the waitstaff was excellent. The menu was limited due to the New Years holiday (which was expected). However the food seemed to have been prepared well in advanced, overcooked and preheated. I had salmon and husband had beef and both came rolled in a pastry so we wondered, at first, if we had the same meal. The scalloped potatoes came in a square and were dry. I wish there had been a choice for the dessert and that the restaurant had offered an alcohol free "mock" tail for the celebratory holiday. The servings were generous.
Thank you for the feedback. Chef Nicci created a special menu Classic Beef or Salmon Wellington. Everything is made on site from scratch e.g. potatoes sliced with butter, creams, herbs baked in large tray and then cut to into portions. The potatoes are cut square as to offset the pastry rectangle which was sliced to reveal the layering of the delicate pastry, mushroom duck pate and parma ham. Our bartender would have made a mocktail if asked . Great idea to add to the regular cocktail list.
New Years Eve dinner celebration!
The Belfry is our go-to place for New Year's Eve and Special Occasions in Sandwich.
The food and ambience are unmatched.
Belfry is a quaint restaurant set inside an old church. Their covid accommodations were great inside and outside. Great destination for a date.
Service was great. Food was very good. The restaurant looked a little tired. Needs a little updating.
The Belfry never disappoints (which is why we got married here!!). We have been coming here for years and will continue to come back. Excellent service, amazing food, fantastic wine and, of course, Chris Wilson.
The people work hard to maintain a great atmosphere and give great value.
The beef Wellington was very tough .
I was wondering if it was eye of round roast not tenderloin
Lovely cozy setting. The menu excellent. The staff are all top of the line. Attentive without hovering constantly.
My Wife and I stayed here for the weekend. Our stay was enjoyable. The meal and experience we had on Saturday night was excellent. We will be back.
Outstanding food and service start to finish. Lovely evening, the Belfry team always makes it special.
We had an excellent dining experience on a rainy December evening with two very good friends.
Our young personable service was very efficient and the food superb.
The Belfry did a fine job of keeping everyone social distanced while maintaining a holiday ambiance.
The food and atmosphere at The Belfry Inn is just wonderful. I loved every bite of all my courses. As a vegetarian, it is hard to find an elegant restaurant that has an option for me that is as well-made as the meat and fish dishes. Outstanding!
Consistently excellent. Nice live fire, wine selection, good spacing that provides intimacy and very attentive service.
2nd-timers: we enjoyed our first dining experience at the Belfry and decided to return when we were in the area again. We were not disappointed. Atmosphere and food were good, and the service was relaxed, but attentive. Have already recommended to others.
The food and the service were great. We did the Wednesday wine dinner with a prefix menu. Both the wine and food were excellent. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Food was amazing, sat by the fireplace which added to the atmosphere.the old church look very cool.Best restaurant around for sure
Everything about my meal was outstanding from the Crab cake, to the cheese board, to the duck confit! Meal was topped off with a dark chocolate profiterole with vanilla bean ice cream & espresso!
Thanksgiving prix fix, 4 terrific options.., we had a hard time deciding but just had to get the turkey after all. The side dishes including the vegetables were delicious and again with the dessert selections another difficult choice.
We settled on the flourless chocolate cake and apple crumble.
Our waiter was efficient and welcoming, excellent service.
We had breakfast there each morning and it was delicious, it was included with the stay. The banana bread was great! We had dinner there our first night and the duck was fantastic, crispy outside and moist inside! The next nights dinner was a pre fix menu for Thanksgiving. The turkey diner was excellent, and the short ribs were fantastic! The Bistro DID NOT disappoint! We WILL be returning!!
Spent Thanksgiving weekend in Sandwich Village at another inn, but decided to eat one dinner at the nearby Belfry Inn. The ambiance’s cool - built an old church. Some of the original details, like stained glass and interesting architecture have been preserved.
The food was upscale and well prepared. the endive salad was spectacular. My husband’s scallop dish and my steak were both well prepared and well presented. Prices are mid/high, but appropriate for the meal quality. It was a lovely evening and we will return the next time we are in the area.
We had a great experience on our first visit here. Great service, food, wine and ambiance. Corinn provided outstanding service and gave us great recommendations. We highly recommend Belfry and will definitely return.
Lunch was outstanding. I had the muscles as an appetizer which were perfect the seafood of the moment we’re scallops with green beans and butternut squash which was just perfect. We topped it off with the caramel apple crisp and vanilla ice cream it surely made my day the service was excellent and the ambience is just beautiful
The room is nice. The fireside seating was great. The waitstaff and service were great. Not being rushed and the food was exceptional. The price will make it a monthly visit instead of Weekly but I would highly recommend.
Beautiful location, great service, will definitely return.
We were treated to a tasting menu by Chef Nicci...featuring the amazing lobster bisque, duck confit and a standout presentation of salmon. Everyone is looking forward to returning.
Difficult to try other places in the area because the Belfry Inn and Bistro is hard to top! The food and service are fabulous and the ambience is outstanding, especially when Jamie is at the piano. Top it off with a very good wine list!
Great food and service. Well spaced tables. We will be back.
My favorite place to eat!
The food is a 10 plus!
The atmosphere is calm, romantic, and relaxing.
Perfect dinner at the Belfry last night. The swordfish special was amazing. Go while it’s still being offered.
Everything from beginning to end was outstanding. The highlights were the Belgian Endive salad, and Filet Mignon entree.
Perfect place for friends to meet. The loveliest setting, wonderful food and excellent service as always.
Wonderful restaurant and great food.
Beautiful and unusual place. Friendly atmosphere.
Beautiful outdoor seating ares!
My husband and I ate at the Belfry the other night for my birthday. I have been wanting to try it out as I’d heard many good things about it. It was absolutely fantastic! Our meals were perfect and our waitress was fabulous! We can’t wait to return to have another memorable meal. We have had a home in Mashpee for 10 years and I think this is our new favorite restaurant. Kudos to each and every one of you!
Amazing service, incredible food. We sat outside even though it was cold, and it was still incredible.
