The pork chop was horrible. Really chewy. Not sure it it was undercooked. It seemed like it had been grilled on both sides but wasn’t really cooked through. Also it was served with so much gravy it swamped the greens and potatoes.
Only one bar tender so drinks were coming to tables after entree arrived.
New chef and management is needed.
Have been to Belcampo a few times and it never disappoints. Started at the bar with a few co-workers. Bartender was friendly so we elected to stay put rather than take a table. Two of us got burgers, which are phenomenal. The other two split a tomahawk rib eye. Enjoyed decent Old Fashioned and the happy hour burger/shot/beer special.
One of our favorite restaurants. The staff and the food are great!
good but pricey
We had no idea what to expect. It is a butcher out front. Walked back to a big, warm, inviting space with a fabulous Bar. The steak salad was ok, not as good as I would have hoped being a butcher but I will try again. We had a fun night there celebrating a birthday.
Great service, incredible food. The freshest meats available!
We had the best meal here! Met my dear friend here and had a fabulous time catching up and eating. LOVE the sweet chili wings and we had the cowboy rib eye for 2. The meat here is wonderful and I do not like meat that much however when I come to Belcampo I have to have it. GREAT PLACE!!!
Bev Hills Siren
This was our 1st time here the wait staff was great and they have a butchshop in the front when you come in and then a nice farm to table restaurant in the back. The food was great and very creative. I had the 100 day dry aged burger with duck fat fries was amazing. We had an interesting appetizer a deviled egg with sliced jalapeño and Fried chicken skin was awesome. The dessert was delish. We will return again to sample more.
Sad to say, this place is not what it once was. Some chef changes have led to an uninspired menu, minus the great highlights that once made this place a neighborhood essential. The bartenders are still great but the wine list is a disaster; a once wide-ranging and eclectic mix reduced to a bunch of banal California reds. (Coppola? Really?) It's a shame, this spot used to be indispensable. Hope it can bounce back but for now I'm moving on.
Food and service were exceptional. Loved my steak frites . The fries are a must order. I would go there just for them. That’s how good they are. If you enjoy dessert have the bread pudding. You won’t be disappointed. It is also a restaurant you can go with friends and actually have conversation as noise level is low.
I really love the interior since their renovation a year or so ago. Their menu selections are bit limited for brunch but what they serve is really good and though pricey on the surface, the quality of ingredients is amazing. The room is quiet, and tables are well spaced. Love all the light that filters in. Staff is very accommodating but on more than one occasion, the service or rather the kitchen is really slow. Lunch at 130pm after ordering took 50-55 minutes. That is a typical wait. So food and ambience great, service friendly, kitchen very very slow....
Loved all of the food and ambience. Had a very good dining experience.
Our waiter was exemplary! The quality, taste and presentation of our food was outstanding!
Even though this is a butcher shop in front our vegan friends found a lovely salad choice. Everything is fresh and tasty and well cooked
A friend and I went to Belcampo for the first time. We were able to enjoy our conversation and dinner in a beautiful setting. The food was fresh and delicious. Already planning a return for another meal. The service was outstanding. Sahara attended to our every need.
Although we came we high expectations after very positive dining experiences in the Jack London Oakland location, we found one main course to be unacceptable-tenderloin steak- and the other marginal- the two patty burger. The beef tartar was above average although the very thick crusted bread had burn marks from over grilling.
There is little excuse for a high end meat purveyor's restaurant to serve any marginal or unacceptable dishes.
My wife and I both had the Steak Frites. The steak was super tough . Could barely cut it with a steak knife . The bartender was very nice as was the hostess . But we were disappointed considering the price . Bought some breakfast sausage on the way out for the following morning. That was also super dry and tasted pretty awful .
Hello! I am so sorry for the bad experience you had while dining in with us. I would love to hear more about the visit as I would love an opportunity to make this experience right. Please email me at your earliest convenience. I look forward to hearing from you soon! Have a great day!
Love the food! High quality ingredients and delicious.
Great service, very friendly and attentive staff.
Food was amazing from the appetizers to the main course to the dessert
I loved the previous cozy decor. The food was poorly cooked. Sides were terrible. I used to love this place. Butcher shop is still awesome, but I didn’t like entering restaurant through butcher shop...which smells...
Disappointing. We thought that a butcher would have done a better job with the restaurant. We had the rib eye for 2- Steak was underdone, 6 sad asparagus and a good potato au gratin enough for 1.
We had high hopes....won't be back.
Food was good, the ribeye and the filet mignon we ordered were cooked to perfection. It was interesting to walk into a butcher shop and then being escorted to our table in the back.
The food was delicious, cocktails amazing and service was excellent. Highly recommend the Osso Bucco!
Food was just so-so .For a butcher shop, the mear was clearly disappointed
Went on a date with the hubby to Broad Stage At Santa Monica College and found Belcampo nearby for dinner after the performance. So glad we did, we enjoyed everything about this place. The food, the service and the set up. All very fresh, pleasant and enjoyable. Totally recommend it to anyone looking for a good steak or burger.
Steak under cooked a d tough, sent it back, second time same thing
Inexcusable for a restaurant associated with a butcher shoo
Meh... looked great online, but nothing to go back to visit.
The food is phenomenal! It's a perfect spot to bring a special date or family/friends gathering. It's a fun and laid back atmosphere in a beautiful setting.
Belcampo is a really nice place to dine and have a quiet conversation. The food and service are excellent!
Have shopped at Belcampo on many occasions but have never eaten in the restaurant. We were blown away and are excited to go back.
This place is just okay based on our meal. Of the dishes we ordered, the quest fondito, the Osso Buco were good, and the short rib Mac 'n' cheese were good. But the Brussel sprouts were over done, none of us liked the noodle dish. and the gnocchi was not very good either. The ambience is fine, nothing special. The service not amazing either, polite but not attentive.
We enjoyed our first visit to this restaurant. My husband ordered his burger rare and it wasn’t. For him important. I had steak frites and it was perfect. Very friendly staff. Our guests seemed pleased.
Everything was excellent. Ordered NY Strip steak, prepared very well. Quality of meat so bad could not eat it.
Went here for brunch. Very good!
Great burgers! Lovely service. Wish I could have tried a cocktail from their drink menu but it was lunchtime.
Was nice. Waiter didn't pour wine to taste. Thought that was odd.
Also the chocolate dessert did not taste like chocolate. More like espresso. It has espresso listed as last flavor not main
The vanilla Panna Cotta tastes of lemon not vanilla. It had lemon balm flavor listed on menu.
The food was all really tasty except the steak was a bit on the chewy side. Love that it’s all grass fed and healthy.
This is one of my favorite restaurants in Santa Monica. The food is amazing, the ambiance is lovely and the service is great! Also, you get a discount on the butcher case on your way out. Their meat is so good it will make you want to get your stuff exclusively from there... budget allowing. ;)
Super high quality meats prepared perfectly, basically an awesome restaurant for anyone on keto.
Love it - great staff, awesome food. LOVED the butcher shop!!
