We loved the service, the food and the ambiance. Our chef even took the time to introduce us to Henry, our beautiful red snapper, prior to preparation. Upon serving Henry, the head, tail and bones were removed; it was moist and simply delicious!!
Brunch- coffee served cold, order came out wrong including an up charge for food not received, service non existent, no coffee refills offered, long waits. Would not recommend or go back.
I've been to the restaurant several times. The menu changed to more of a price-fixed menu. I feel that $16 for a squash appetizer when ordered separate from the price fixed menu is ridiculous. The octopus was slimy and not enjoyable -- I've had octopus many times at other places and this was not cooked correctly. The kale salad was tough - the leaves were too big and not tender. Overall, I thought the it was overpriced this time for the quality of the meal.
This was by far the WORST dining experience I have EVER had. It was four of us and we sat down at 1130 and we still had not received our order by 1. The waitress was not friendly and didn’t bother to check on us. They brought out my yogurt and I sat and waited and waited and waited for my family to get EGGS!! This was also while I was watching other tables complain and get burgers. We addressed the issue with one of the managers and she said they were working on getting us our food and when she repeated the order it as all wrong! Her excuse was that the ordering tickets machine was wrong but last I checked a pen and paper works fine when taking an order non the less a correct order. After giving them one more shot we waited another 30 minutes and STILL did not get food!! We ended up walking out and going to have a lovely lunch at Hillstone. Mind you I am about 9 months pregnant and not feeding a pregnant woman after she sat down for 2 hours is not smart. Also the other head manager was on his phone not helping at all with all the craziness. Horrible Horrible Horrible!!! Would NEVER go back.
Our experience was amazing. My boyfriend and I went on a brunch date and it was perfect. Our server(shah N) was great. He was upbeat, energetic, and hospitable. The food was great. I had the steak & eggs and he had the chicken and waffles. The music was also spectacular. It literally made us not want to leave. Overall, the food, music and service were impeccable. We look forward to dining here again!!!!
Best burger in midtown. But so loud. It’s so difficult to have a conversation.
A pleasant surprise! Three colleagues and I stopped in for a lunch meeting. Eash had the Prix Fixe lunch, with one apetiizer, one main, and a chocolate cookie for dessert. Diverse menu options, all delicious and artistically presented. For $29, a bargain!
very cute, interesting menu choices for lunch, good food & service. Great midtown location. they offer a price fixed lunch that was reasonable.
Food was fine or better than fine - They did not have the usual roasted potatoes and did not inform us of such. Our waitress was rather clueless or overwhelmed not sure - but she took forever to deliver our drinks and was not on the ball when it came to replenishing the beverages.
We spoke to a waiter who had waited on us on a previous occasion and he was totally responsive.
Food was consistent but the level of service is totally dependent on your server.
Good American fare with fun decor - sort of felt like I was in a 60s Madmen meets Mick Jagger's basement setting.
Food was good, but nothing we got are particularly great. Bottomless brunch was a good deal and I liked the trio of juices that you get and that they leave the bottle on your table! It was especially needed since the service was majorly lacking - after sitting down, we needed another minute before ordering, but they couldn’t get the waitress’s attention for 20 mins after we’d decided!
Tried this spot for brunch at random - we were very pleasantly surprised - food was great as was service. Good deal for “unlimited” brunch drinks too! Hostess charged a phone for us which was much appreciated!
this place always delivers. The room is cozy and had a nice smell of the fireplace. The food is a bit different but you can also get a good burger. The service is always excellent. I realize that I am always able to get in an out in about an hour if I need to get back to work!
Great food but oi the service.
Das Essen war sehr gut. Leider hat man deutlich gemerkt, dass das Personal lieber Feierabend machen würde...
Food was fine but there was unconscionable horsing around and shouting in the kitchen, and busboys were replacing silverware and dumping ice in the bar with no regard for ambience. My friend was trying to tell me about the death of his sister in law from cancer while the kitchen was hooting and hollering at 10am
This was our first time. I picked it because of the photos on Open Table and the menu! The staff were phenomenal, the wood grill created a wonderful aroma and the food was outstanding! We had oysters, beets, nectarine dish, artichokes, and scallops for starters. All were amazing. The main courses were presented beautifully, cooked to perfection, and we had a hard time deciding which to get. Try the duck and pork chops and rigatoni! The desserts too were fun and different and oh, so tasty. The fruit was how fruit should taste. Sweet by itself.
Had only been for a drink at the bar, this was my first meal. Met a friend for an early dinner and had restaurant week menu. Apps were inedible - tasteless ceviche and bland burrata that had a hard, gel-like crust. Mains were good - lucky for us. Would stick to the bar next time. And the pic of Isaac Hayes.
The staff is nice and set up is cool. Food is not memorable. Would not come back unless I have.
Great food. Restaurant week had a good selection, but the regular menu was also pre fixe for only a few dollars more.
Great food and a great little place with hidden corners.
I would give Bedford & Company five stars for the food. My Arctic char was absolutely delicious, moist and perfectly cooked with very tasty crispy skin. My friend enjoyed the chicken, which looked delicious and after eating her fill was actually able to take some home. The oysters were OK, but not served with cocktail sauce, nor was any available from the kitchen. Their vinegar-based liquid was familiar, but not what I wanted. But they definitely had me at the char! One of the best fish dishes I've had in a long while, and I order fish always. The lowered rating is because of the ambiance, which is dark, no natural light except at the front of the restaurant, and the furniture is somewhat dark, though attractive. My friend was waiting for me and immediately commented on the low level of light upon my arrival, and I had to agree with her. But, the char!!
I highly recommend this restaurant, i have been a couple of times having brunch with friends and I always have a great experience, food is delicious and they also have a great deal for Bottomless Prosecco with craft Juices, so you can make your own bellinis and Mimosas, the atmosphere is very nice and the decor is beautiful.
The place really needs to work on its service. When I visited Bedford & Co. it was not busy, yet the server had to be waved down just to get some more water. The food is alright, nothing with a wow factor, but the ambiance and decor were nice. I would probably only come back here to sit at the bar.
Food was good, if unimaginative---very middle of the road American. Fries and crispy artichoke were good; steak was more medium than medium rare and reginetti was overcooked. Service was good. The ambience was stylish, but note there is almost no phone reception. The music was too loud. Better for a weekend dinner rather than a business lunch.
INCREDIBLE meal and wonderful service. I cannot emphasize enough how lovely the hostess was. She greeted us and then checked in throughout our meal. The duck was out of this world. We already booked another dinner here. (Only improvement suggestion: lower the music and add some sound panels to the ceiling).
Bedford & Co. was by far one of the best brunch experiences I’ve had and I brunch practically every weekend. The food was delicious, the ambience is great, and the service was excellent. I also loved the fact that they give you bottles of champagne and different flavor mixers and allow you to control your own tempo as much bottomless brunch places bring you one drink at a time and take forever to bring you the next one. The music was great as well. Just an overall excellent dining place and I will Ben back.. often
The service wasn’t great, the food was ok, but the wine and prosecco were bad. The prosecco was flat and the wine, although told was a new bottle, was just off. Overall it was just an ok experience.
We shared a burger and the duck breast. Food was very good. The only thing is that it would be nice if the duck had a side dish with it such as a vegetable and/or grain. At $32 dollars, it seemed odd that they would just serve the duck breast with a frisee of some sort. Other than that, the food was very good (the burger came with fries). We also had the friend artichoke which was good but a bit oily. Very noisy so be prepared for that.
Terrible service , deafening noise level, poor service and second rate food.
So very disappointing I would never recommend this restaurant
Love this place. My only issue is the music is always too loud. Hard to have a conversation. I would go more if it was quieter
We really enjoyed our dining experience and look forward to returning to try more of their food. Everyone enjoyed the freshness of the fish both in the appetizer ceviche and the entrée. I can't say enough praises about the staff; thank you for making us feel so important and not rushed. The martinis were perfection. A great value during NYC restaurant week.
The food was good. However, the portions are small and I don’t feel like you get enough food for the amount of money you spend.
The food was very good and our server was kind and helpful. The wine was very expensive for mediocre quality.
Food is very good quality. Service is on point.
The food was very good. We enjoyed several appetizers as well as the rigatoni. We split everything and found it to be enough. We enjoyed all the food we ordered and portions were excellent!
Sauvignon blanc was tasty, but expensive. Expensive overall and smaller portions, but the food was very good, as was the service. We ordered the crispy artichokes, seared scallops and burrata to start, which were all delicious. I got a special soft shell crab small plate for my entree which was good...I also prefer it sautéed, but this was lightly fried. It was served with a lot of greens, which was a very nice balance though. Made the dish seem lighter. My companions all ordered the rigatoni and loved it. Small portion though, and they wanted more but agreed everyone left full and not over stuffed.
Surprise find near Grand Central. Small but creative menu.
Excellent time. Food was good and unlimited bubbly was enjoyed by all.
