We had great lunch experience recently but we were at the chophouse for dinner and found the food to be overcooked, the wait service condescending and the bill was super expensive.
Great service. Entertaining with the magician that was stopping by each table. Food good.
The magician is spectacular
Skiing at beaver creek nice family dinner everyone very happy with overall experience. Would go there again every time
We had a great meal watching the mountains get groomed. The portions are large. The bread and salads were especially delicious!
A great experience with great food, drinks, and superior service. The seafood was perfectly fresh, the New York strip better than most any I've had, and the lamb chops simply out of this world. Although the food was spectacular, the service made the evening. Our entrees arrived while we were still enjoying our appetizers. Our server apologized and returned them to the kitchen. She came back to apologize again and insisted the entrees would be remade, not just reheated, or sit under a heatlamp. She was true to her word and they were remade perfectly. Other restaurants should follow the example. Most diners can tell the difference between something freshly prepared and something reheated. That attention to detail made the difference between a great experience and a disappointing one.
We have eaten at the Chophouse at lunch with our extended family of twelve and at dinner with just the two of us. It is a fun restaurant with views of the slopes so you can watch skiers coming down and people leaving in the open "sleighs" for Allie's Cabin and Beano's Cabin.
The hamburger and fries are fabulous. We have also enjoyed both the filet and salmon. It's pricey but the food is good.
Some waiters are a lot friendlier than others.
We will definitely return.
THE GENTLEMAN THAT WAS THE MAGICIAN, CAME TO OUR TABLE TO ENTERTAIN MY GRAND CHILDREN, LEFT OUR TABLE TO (GO AND ENTERTAIN ANOTHER TABLE, SAID HE WOULD RETURN....NEVER DID.....PRETTY RUDE IN MY OPINION......DISAPPOINTED GRANDS.....
BY THE WAY MY BILL WAS OVER 400.OO DOLLARS
Fried chicken was amazing. Great location and even better service.
Always a treat-very special and excellent food. A must have experience in Beaver Creek.
Amazing dining experience! Thank y’all for being so accommodating!
The Beaver Creek Chophouse is a family/friend tradition for us. The food is fabulous, every item. The bone-in ribeye was especially tasty. The other highlight besides the food, is the the magician, best ever! He is so entertaining for kids through adults, we look forward to him every year. He is not there every evening, so double check! Can't wait to go back next year. The service is really good, too!
Great server and yummy winner winner chicken dinner!
So hot!..... very hot inside
We were a party of 6. The food and service were superb: trout, filet, lamb chops, burger. Boisterous and friendly!
We had crab cakes and ceviche for an app. Crab cakes were very good but ceviche tasted like shrimp with salsa, very little flavor and the chips were just thrown on the plate. Entrees were chicken dinner, pork chop with gnocchi, and Kobe flat iron. Chicken and pork were both tasty but the Kobe steaks came out really really charred. It was the only think you could taste when biting into the steak. The potato’s could have used more garlic, they were supposed to be garlic mashed potatoes. And I wish we could have told our waitress but there seemed to be a theme of just dropping off your items and then leaving. We weren’t the only table with this issue. Drinks were nice but noise level in restaurant made talking next to impossible. Personally the food is just ok, people visit the restaurant because it literally next to the ski hill.
Great all the way around!
Excellent steak, that you will always get at the Chophouse! Pricey, but for a special occasion, it was great.
My husband and I wanted a quiet, relaxing, upscale dinner. He had been to the Beaver Creek Chophouse before and really liked it so we booked dinner there. We arrived at 5:50 pm for our 6:00 reservation. The bar and the restaurant are connected and happy hour was in full swing - loud music, singing, yelling. The noise extended into the dining room. I was surprised to see the dining room quite full of children - this is a place that charges $40+ for a steak with no accompaniment. The children next to our table were not just talking, but screaming. A magician was going from table to table doing magic tricks, which made the kids scream louder. In the midst of this, we were offered a $390 bottle of wine and oysters. Really - in what feels like a nursery school? Cheap pizza and beer would have been more fitting.
My husband ordered a key lime martini - the glass was about 1/2 full when it arrived. We nearly left then...and should have. Happy hour ended at 6:00, so that noise was gone, but the children's screaming continued throughout our dinner. I barely ate my entree, the waitress asked if I wanted it boxed, I said no, and she returned with the full check. No questions about why I hadn't eaten my meal, no care at all. We were in and out in an hour. So much for our relaxing dinner.
If you want Chuckie Cheese noise, atmosphere, and service come here. If you want a quiet, upscale dinner where you're actually cared for as a customer, head somewhere else.
Crab legs were bad, service was terrible
Would not Recommend
Probably the worse restaurant I have been
To in Beaver Creek/Vail
Great food and service!
Nice evening at the Chophouse. Excellent service and good food. We had lunch on the patio the day before and it was great also.
Had very poor accommodation with the hostess. They service was terrible. We waited for over 15 min for our drinks (there was no one in the restaurant). Quality of food was marginal.
Make sure you have a good book it good company. Your server will frequently disappear. Service was terrible.
Wonderful experience! Great service! The food was exceptional. It was great to have the magician there too. He added a lot to the evening!
Amazing food. Great for kids. Danny the magician was unreal! Highly recommended
Good food, good service, right on the mountain
Steak was good. Server was nice but would leave and not return for a long time. Dining with 4 children this was not good and not what I would expect at restaurant like this
Not many options in Beaver Creek I was expecting better decor, presentation etc. I’m a big believer in price is only an issue in the absence of value and sorry but your establishment does not command $50 for an à la carte filet mignon. I couldn’t say that I’d be going back on our next visit to Beaver or would recommend to a friend.
The Family enjoyed their steaks. The Decor is from Walmart. The restaurent adds 20% gratuity to your bill, but fails to offer 20% service.
Great bar tender at CBar and my waitress was one of the best I’ve had. She’s from Windsor!
Loved having the amazing magician at the table! Food and service were great too. The bill was very hard to read - numbers were blurry and they said they were trying to fix the issue.
Attentive service and delicious food. Nice wine selection. Would recommend.
Here’s my honest review
Overall best meal of the weekend
Service / waitress was great and timely
Had best seat in the house looking out over the slopes and grooming machines at night.
Bar next door was extremely loud, fire alarm went off for 20 minutes, It’s hard to call yourself fine dining when you allow a magician to pimp your patrons. He saw we had kids and we were immediately a target. He’s good no doubt but he introduced himself as perhaps the general manager. By the time I realized he was a magician, he was already in....perhaps that’s the art I guess
Veal T-Bone was awesome! Food was super and wine list was very good as well. Best, is to ensure you don't seat near the kitchen unless you like it hot. We would have ordered another bottle of wine, dessert and after dinner drinks, but we couldn't tolerate the heat.
We love seeing the magician! We go every trip to see him!
This is one of our favorite restaurants @ Beaver Creek. Dan the magician is fantastic!
The food was tasty, but not worth the expense. I do not plan to go to this restaurant again on future trips to Beaver Creek.
Great location and nice room. Service good but food ordinary and prices excessive. We have been coming here for more than 10 years, however our visits are increasingly infrequent, which is a pity. It used to be a great slope-side saloon with good, moderately-priced food appropriate for an informal post-slope dinner. While the food is unchanged, the prices suggest "fine dining" which is it isn't. $56 for an average NY strip steak with no side dishes is laughable, compared with what the same money would buy in a top rated NYC restaurant (or even a good local restaurant such as Splendido or Grouse Mountain Grill). As DT might say ... "SAD".
