Beaver Creek Chophouse
The Beaver Creek Chophouse was wonderful place to eat. The ambiance, the service, the food...all terrific!
The food was over priced and not that good in general!
The atmosphere was more casual than I expected. Lots of families/ kids running in and out. Towards the end of our meal it quieted down. Food and service was really good.
Wow...the service was awful. We were served our meals. Mine came lukewarm at best. Our friend had ordered steak to be medium and came out well done. Sent it back to be prepared to what was ordered only to not have it come back. We had ordered a round of drinks, only to not have them come either. After 20 minutes, we had all finished our meal and our friend still had not received his meal. Finally tracked down the server, who seemed annoyed, to then receive his meal. The only good part of our meal was the lovely hostess. At a minimum, that meal should have been comp'd. The server could have cared less. Won't be back...too many other great options in Beaver Creek.
The food and service were exceptional. Truly excellent service with well-prepared and presented meals. The wines were significantly overpriced.
Unfortunately the food was average, the portions were very small and our waiter seemed to think he was running the Indy 500 and rushed us the entire time we were there.
Waiter was very unattentive and did not try very hard to meet our needs or to help rectify
our situation. Another waiter noticed our distress and helped to check on our order.
Great atmosphere, food, and drinks. Friendly service with a "here to please" attitude.
It was not special at all. First the hostess said we didn’t have a reservation. My husband had been speaking to the manager earlier in the day to arrange a presentation of an anniversary gift. The manger didn’t even offer a congrats or a Happy Anniversary to us. They sat us outside at very average outdoor seating when the dining room had plenty of room and clearly we were dressed for a dining room experience. Zero extra attention, poor seating (among loud kids, dogs and bad loud music). The ladies were in dresses so we were all cold sitting outside. Not what I had envisioned for our 30th wedding anniversary dinner celebration (especially with the amount of money we spent on it). Very disappointing. Not a place to go to celebrate or feel special.
Terrible service the waiter delivered water, took a drink order, then disappeared for 15 minutes—and there was hardly anyone in the restaurant—it was 7:30 pm, so no excuses there. Took 25 minutes to put in a food order. Few wines by the glass available. Crab cake had little filler — a good thing — but the meat was shredded and not lump. The $49 filet was tough and over-cooked. The $10 mashed potatoes were very good. The large dinner salad was actually very good — the only saving grace
I have been here several times. It’s never great, and lunch was better, but this time was terrible and expensive to boot.
I'm not sure if we were on an off-night or what was going on. The service was ok. We were definitely left alone for too long at times. The food was ok too - good not great. We were particularly disappointed that our son's hamburger had cheese which we specifically asked for it to not be on there. I know miscommunications happen between the front of house and back of house. It look a long time for him to get his corrected burger. We like the atmosphere at the Chophouse and the food was good enough to return, so we'll be back.
Waiter didn’t fill water very often. All 4 of us got filets and 3 were over cooked.
As always. One of our favorite places to eat in the Beav.
Our waiter was just not engaged at all. We were at the restaurant for 3 hours for a simple 2 course meal. The steak was fine but the Brussel Sprouts were chewy and the overall experience was nothing special for the price.
Great dinner outside by creek. Magician so fun and food delicious. Alaska Joe was a great waiter!!! It’s nice, but worth it!
Service was slow but they were a wonderful wait staff. Food was perfectly prepared and delicious.
The restaurant was a little understaffed for restaurant week, but the food & ambiance was great as always.
Entrees were not up to expectations. Steak was fatty and too rare when ordered medium. Halibut was very overdone and dry. Salad and desserts were the high points of the meal.
My husband and I decided to eat here while in town and I would not return. We started with the warm Bri appetizer but the pita they served it with was rock hard. I ordered a filet and my husband the chicken- my filet was undercooked and when it finally came back, it was burnt, dry, and severely over cooked. I ended up eating mashed potatoes as a meal. The waiter seemed ill equipped to handle the negative experience, not to mention they were not busy and his service was terribly slow. For a steak house, I would have expected them to know how to properly cook a steak- terrible experience.
We may have suffered from end of season blues, but our steaks were over cooked, as was that of the man sitting at the next table. We did not send ours back, because it took an eternity for his replacement to arrive. The salads arrived well before we finished our cocktails. The wine waiter decanted our wine, poured a glass, and then set the decanter nearly out of reach before disappearing. Our waitress was pleasant, but was let down by her kitchen. Overall we were disappointed. At Beaver Creek Chophouse’s price point, they should do better. The restaurant was not crowded. Unless they had let most of the staff go before the seasonal closing Sunday, I shudder to think about how disappointing a visit would be in high season.
Everything about this restaurant is fabulous! If you are looking for a great meal and a fun relaxing atmosphere this is the place!
I think Chophouse is one of the best choices in beaver creek the food is great and we was seating in from of the windows when so fireworks star to showing and we was able to see the show of the skiers get down the mountain with laser stick it was really good so if you want to wach this go on Thursday night :)
Interesting slope side joint. For amount of $$$$$ spent, would expect more ambiance/sophistication, however, service was awesome, Dina from Bulgaria was spot on the entire night. She watched the table, knew when we needed something and was fast when an order was placed. Overall, well done, I'd say change the atmosphere a little, but imagine its location requires it to be the way it is.
We couldn’t have asked for a better server and the food was fantastic. I don’t think there’s a better shrimp cocktail served on this planet !
Outstanding restaurant at the base of the mountain near The Centennial lift.
First, OpenTable’s reservation didn’t show in their list. Not the restaurants fault and they were nice about it. I showed the confirmation email and the accommodated us after 20 minutes wait.
The problem is really the dinner food. We love this place as a lunch venue in front of mountain and great appetizers. Dinner entrees not so good. Couldn’t eat the trout, salmon was so so and steaks not great either
Very crowded and noisy. Not suitable for a relaxing dinner, but more for an after-ski beer "with the gang". We visited during spring break time, so a lot of families with unruly children.
Service was excellent! They did a wonderful job accommodating a food allergy. Very caring!
Got sick from onion soup...food poising...........soup must have been left out........
Can be quite noisy, esp near the bar. Difficult to carry on a conversation even at a table for 4.
We had a great evening and felt that our waiter was excellent. One of the places you should go to while in the Vail Valley
In the past we have had a great experience at this steakhouse. We really looked forward to an exceptional meal our last night in Beaver Creek. It was disappointing, Service was slow, food was mediocre. Would have stayed for dessert and after dinner drinks but went elsewhere. Will try again next year.
The Beaver Creek Chophouse was easy to access by dial up shuttle for our group of 7 adults and 1 child. Our waiter was incredible and was super accommodating when a group of teens were placed directly beside us. The noise level was a bit crazy and we asked our waiter if we could move to a quieter spot and he was able to accommodate us with in a few minutes relocating us to a quiet corner. Not a single complaint on any of the food ordered by our group and our child's meal came quickly and was just right! We were very satisfied with drinks, food and dessert. We would go back and would recommend to anyone needing a space for a group that is larger than 4 and a bit more demanding.
Service was slow from start to finish. Not a tremendous deal but I usually expect quicker service at a more upscale place. Cocktails were incredible and worth it. Food was good! Pricey but its BC.
Considering the prices compared to other restaurants in the Beaver Creek area, the quality of the food and level of service in the end...it's just not worth it.
I had mountain trout which was prepared acceptably but was an extremely small portion.
6pm is great family dinner with fun magician and watching snowcats go up and back. Steak was perfect, nice wine selection.
Wouldn’t go back again. Didn’t care for the menu and felt it was overpriced.
This restaurant was way overrated. It’s one large poorly decorated room - incredibly noisy and terrible ambience. Ridiculously expensive for the experience.
Why it comes up as one of Beaver Creek’s best restaurants is beyond me!!! Go anywhere else but this place is my honest advice!!!
Delicious dinner with very good service. They accommodated our request for window table.
