About Beau's On The River
Beau’s on the River opened at the Sheraton Suites Akron/Cuyahoga Falls in May of 2013. This restaurant on the river offers stunning views of the river rapids and falls with floor to ceiling windows with and innovative contemporary décor.
As a sister property to Beau’s Grille at the Hilton Akron/Fairlawn, we offer a casual atmosphere with plenty of the same great food and service that the award winning Beau’s Grille has been treating our loyal customers to for years. Executive Chef Billy Thurman takes a unique twist on some of your old favorites with a fresh look and taste to his style of cooking. His mouthwatering plates taste even more amazing than they look.
We are located 15 miles from the Akron Canton Regional Airport & 30 miles from Cleveland Hopkins Airport. Cities within a short distance from Beau's On The River include: Akron, Canton, Cleveland, Fairlawn, Richfield, Hudson, Stow, Aurora (Geauga Lake Park) & Kent Ohio.

Beau's On The River Ratings and Reviews
Absolutely fabulous service and even better cooking. Each menu item had its own noteable taste, the chefs obviously spent a lot of time perfecting their dishes, and their lovely plating. The live music was still soft enough to fit the romantic s atmosphere of the dining room (live music is on Fridays and Saturdays). Even at night the view of the river below was spectacular. I highly recommend their créme brûlée to finish off your meal, it was the best I’ve ever had.
There Is no more scenic view than the one you get dining at Beau’s On The River. Our server was good...Taking care of a party of seven. The food however, is so inferior. I ate at Beau’s Grille five days earlier and had very good food. It is beyond my understanding how two restaurants bearing the same name can be so drastically different in the quality of the food. This was not my first time at this restaurant but it is now my last. The food is always mediocre to bad at Beau’s on the River so this was not a one off. There are too many restaurants in Northeast Ohio serving high quality food to waste my dining dollars on this restaurant one more time. I was not alone in the opinion of those in my party about the food...I was the one who made the reservation through Open Table and therefore given the opportunity to write the review.
The best thing about this restaurant is the amazing view of the river and rapids! The food is delicious, and the presentation is excellent. We shared a very generous portion of calamari, and the grilled swordfish over black rice was excellent! The waiter gave great recommendations on everything from appetizers, small plates, main dishes and wine. Great place for a special date.
I have always loved the serene atmosphere of Beau’s but the food quality has declined. Our server Courtney was pleasant and responsive. I was asked at the time of making a reservation if we were celebrating a special occasion. I did tell them it was my birthday but no mention was made of it during our dinner so I wasn’t sure why I was even asked.
It was New Year's Eve dinner. The woman denying the initial phone reservation was rude. Open Table had available reservations that she didn't offer. The waiter was not not personable and it was so beyond cold in the restaurant. The bar music was loud...it was pretty expensive for the experience not to be amazing.
We had dinner at Beau's on the River on New Year's Eve. The atmosphere was festive, but the restaurant itself was very drafty. Unfortunately this contributed to the food being cold. Our server was just outstanding however, and even though the food would have been better had it been served hot, the experience was still delightful.
We visited Beaus for a celebration and were pleased with the service, however the food was subpar for the price. Two of our meals were over cooked and one was bad fish. The manager never came to apologize or ask us about our time spent at that restaurant which was completely unprofessional. They did take off one meal from the bill but charged us for a replacement meal. I would suggest spending your money somewhere with better management.
Excellent experience overall. Amazing view of the river and the Farmers Omelet was fantastic. One point that really is small, made a reservation for 10:45 am Saturday and found out when we arrived that they close at 11:00 am. Was not a real problem as we were told to stay and enjoy everything as long as we liked. Turned out quit nice.
Beautiful location over a waterfall. You are paying a premium for eating in a hotel. While the food tasted good, it was nothing special, especially for the price. My braised beef ribs was delicious bit only had one small portion (approximately 4oz) of meat and two bones...for $30. The manager did give me a second portion of meat after I complained.
Pricey yet special. For $100+ for two people, we would’ve expected a better quality of service - had to ask for a coffee refill and the food sat for a few minutes at the waiters stand until it was brought to our table. My food was excellent and rather unique (grilled chicken over cheddar grits with arugula and tomatoes) as was my cranberry martini with a lemon twist. My husband had steak and he said his was fine. The scenery is amazing and the environment is romantic.
Excellent food. I had the filet mignon special my wife had the cheese ravioli special. If you want a great appetizer get the mozzarella sticks. Made fresh in house and different then any restaurant I've ate it. I would highly recommend a window table out looking the river and falls.
I visited this restaurant with a reservation and request for a window view. We got the pillar at the edge of the window. It was a buffet - all or none. Needless to say, if you're not about to eat your weight, and just wanted the river view, go somewhere else. The bill was over $80 for lunch. Yikes.
