We were promptly greeted and seated. We were not given a bread basket. The appetizer and main course were very salty. Both of our desserts (bread pudding & cheesecake) were fantastic. The food was Not worth the $112.00 I spent. The atmosphere is very romantic but not worth the food cost.
Convenient dining location on the way to EJ Thomas Hall. Great service and menu; very pleased with our food choices. Would visit again.
It was a great place to take my significant other on a date. It was nighttime and the ambiance was great. You could still see the river even though it was dark. The food was amazing. The only issue was that our server was sometimes rude. I asked him what beverages you had to offer and he seemed as if I was confusing him. I asked him if they had a particular beverage and he was rude and answered in a deep annoyed voice. I noticed this and asked about a different beverage and he got more annoyed. I am underage and it seemed that he was confused that I didn’t ask for an acoholic drink. He seemed to be having a bad day but there was no need for him to be short and rude. He was serving the table next to us and he was being very lively and kind to them, engaging in conversation but when it came to my significant other and I he was short and did not seem to care about our service. Only checked on us five times throughout the night. Overall, great place to eat, bad waiter.
As always, the food and service were very good.
Ambiance is great decor is very nice staff is very attentive
Food was good, but not excellent. It was winter, but I expected more fruit for Sunday brunch...there was only grapes and honeydew. Desserts were warm due to sitting out. Atmosphere is nice for special occasions.
Beau’s highlights are the ambience and the beautiful view of the river. The wall-length windows make for an amazing view of the river. Our waitress was friendly and provided good service. There was a mistake with my meal, which the waitress offered to fix . Even though the service and ambience was good, my dinner partner and I were not blown away by the food. My meal was “fine”, nothing less, nothing more. My partner felt the same way about his meal, as well.
One server, 15 tables. On other visits it's been fine--get the salmon!
Their brunch is outstanding. Never had a bad experience here ! Views overlooking the river are beautiful- even in the winter. Great value for an endless buffet- tremendous selection of entrees- pork tenderloin- prime rib- 2 types of pasta- chicken and beef - shrimp- omelets made to order right in front of you - fantastic sausage and bacon- fresh fruit - really if you can think of it -it is there plus huge desert table and salad bar!! Great place
Service was good. Food was decent but did not live up to the prices.
This is a beautiful restaurant with an amazing view of the Cuyahoga River. The food was delicious and the menu was so interesting it was difficult to choose our meals. We will definitely be going back!
Very nice night with my wife. Everyone was great and would recommend.
Absolutely fabulous service and even better cooking. Each menu item had its own noteable taste, the chefs obviously spent a lot of time perfecting their dishes, and their lovely plating. The live music was still soft enough to fit the romantic s atmosphere of the dining room (live music is on Fridays and Saturdays). Even at night the view of the river below was spectacular. I highly recommend their créme brûlée to finish off your meal, it was the best I’ve ever had.
Beau's On The River is one of the nicest restaurants I have personally been to, it's calm but busy and the food was fantastic. I would recommend it for anyone looking to impress.
My date's smoked salmon rivaled the quality of fresh salmon she enjoyed in the northwest. My own meal was scrumptious as well. They made every effort to accommodate my special requests.
The views of the river were only second to the delicious food. Highly recommended
Very beautiful view. Very ignorant bus servers. The waitress was great. If you, teach the guys who serve water to say not a darn word-stop it. Otherwise, reprimand them for being jerks to customers. They arent second class humans. They can talk too.
Anthony was a great server. We arrived early and were promptly seated. Definitely going back again.
There Is no more scenic view than the one you get dining at Beau’s On The River. Our server was good...Taking care of a party of seven. The food however, is so inferior. I ate at Beau’s Grille five days earlier and had very good food. It is beyond my understanding how two restaurants bearing the same name can be so drastically different in the quality of the food. This was not my first time at this restaurant but it is now my last. The food is always mediocre to bad at Beau’s on the River so this was not a one off. There are too many restaurants in Northeast Ohio serving high quality food to waste my dining dollars on this restaurant one more time. I was not alone in the opinion of those in my party about the food...I was the one who made the reservation through Open Table and therefore given the opportunity to write the review.
The best thing about this restaurant is the amazing view of the river and rapids! The food is delicious, and the presentation is excellent. We shared a very generous portion of calamari, and the grilled swordfish over black rice was excellent! The waiter gave great recommendations on everything from appetizers, small plates, main dishes and wine. Great place for a special date.
Enjoyed the tasty breakfast buffet and booth overlooking the river. Jeffrey is a most excellent server! A better breakfast experience when compared to our dinner the evening before.
A bit chilly by windows. Overall great
I have always loved the serene atmosphere of Beau’s but the food quality has declined. Our server Courtney was pleasant and responsive. I was asked at the time of making a reservation if we were celebrating a special occasion. I did tell them it was my birthday but no mention was made of it during our dinner so I wasn’t sure why I was even asked.
It was New Year's Eve dinner. The woman denying the initial phone reservation was rude. Open Table had available reservations that she didn't offer. The waiter was not not personable and it was so beyond cold in the restaurant. The bar music was loud...it was pretty expensive for the experience not to be amazing.
We had dinner at Beau's on the River on New Year's Eve. The atmosphere was festive, but the restaurant itself was very drafty. Unfortunately this contributed to the food being cold. Our server was just outstanding however, and even though the food would have been better had it been served hot, the experience was still delightful.
Good time. hummus wrap was huge and tasty.
Some food on the buffet was cold. Had to ask server for butter. None at the buffet.
Meeting old friends and family for a catch up breakfast
We visited Beaus for a celebration and were pleased with the service, however the food was subpar for the price. Two of our meals were over cooked and one was bad fish. The manager never came to apologize or ask us about our time spent at that restaurant which was completely unprofessional. They did take off one meal from the bill but charged us for a replacement meal. I would suggest spending your money somewhere with better management.
Excellent experience overall. Amazing view of the river and the Farmers Omelet was fantastic. One point that really is small, made a reservation for 10:45 am Saturday and found out when we arrived that they close at 11:00 am. Was not a real problem as we were told to stay and enjoy everything as long as we liked. Turned out quit nice.
We were in town for a college graduation. Our family chose Beau’s for dinner and loved it. The menu selections were superb and delicious.
Great ambiance watching the snowy river scene! Service was very good. The Charcuterie platter was memorable. Everything was executed well, but my steak was over-done. If not for that I would have given five stars.
Brunch was quite good. Service was prompt and courteous. View was outstanding!
Frank was our server, he was awesome. Food was fantastic, and the view is spectacular. Love this place!
Excellent restaurant and wonderful scenery . We weee please with service, food, and atmosphere
Beautiful location over a waterfall. You are paying a premium for eating in a hotel. While the food tasted good, it was nothing special, especially for the price. My braised beef ribs was delicious bit only had one small portion (approximately 4oz) of meat and two bones...for $30. The manager did give me a second portion of meat after I complained.
Pricey yet special. For $100+ for two people, we would’ve expected a better quality of service - had to ask for a coffee refill and the food sat for a few minutes at the waiters stand until it was brought to our table. My food was excellent and rather unique (grilled chicken over cheddar grits with arugula and tomatoes) as was my cranberry martini with a lemon twist. My husband had steak and he said his was fine. The scenery is amazing and the environment is romantic.
Great server, beautiful view.
We are regulars for the Sunday breakfast buffet. This time the choices were disappointing...much more limited than all of our previous visits. Buffet staff not responsive to special requests.
As with previous visits all was exceptional. I’d like to personally put in a word of praise for my server, as he deftly handled my dinner partners’ over indulgence.
The ambiance was good and the crowd, decent. The service was friendly too. The SUNDAY BRUNCH Buffet though is not that great. Considering the limited and 'boring' food choices the price tag is on the higher end. Did not met my expectations.
