Great food as always. Love the live music Thursday through Sunday!
Food was good. Service on the outside patio was unacceptably slow.
Our server Taylor did a great job. Super friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. It was Sat night so there was a live band. They were really good, played a variety of music from CCR and Tom Petty.
Food was excellent...but a little on the salt shaker...or it would have been a 5. Food innovative and fun.
This is the nearest decent location I can walk to. (Avoid Lupi's, a close-by Italian restaurant like the plague.)
Trouble is Beaumont's is just lots of food with almost no style. Slap it on, send it out, move 'em on.
Service is quick, but spotty. The ambience would be Ok if they put the patio at the back and banned families.
I go there when I'm really hungry, don't have time to walk elsewhere, and I'm tired of the excellent Don Bravo's.
Food was awful. Salad was dry. Scallops were tasteless and tiny. Over priced for food. Fries were horrible thin sticks .Did not taste like a potato. Hamburger was tasteless. Three different waiters came to our table. Served food to wrong people. Came in shifts. It was 1:00. Not very many people eating there. Busboy was the nicest. Won't eat or recommend this to anyone.
Best burger in town, must try the Beaumont Burger and the Carnitas lettuce wraps!
This is clearly a very popular neighborhood spot in the Bird Rock area of La Jolla. Our group of ten was gathering for brunch for both Father's Day and college graduation. The food was really outstanding. I thoroughly enjoyed my carne asada Benedict , a couple had the pork belly hash which they loved, others the Beaumont Benedict, the breakfast burrito and the chillaquiles . Everyone seemed happy with their food. We were seated on the front open air patio which was very pleasant. he service was good but a little slow.
Food was excellent as usual but service left a lot to be desired.
Thank You Mr. Beaumont! A Great Meal on Father's Day.
It was alright. They had run out of cinnamon rolls before 930am, which was quite the disappointment. Everyone in our party was underwhelmed by their food. Service was good. Not a horrible experience, but nothing to return for.
Chopped salad with grilled shrimp was perfect 👌🏼
1st time there. It was a very nice find on Open Table. Good food & great service. Very enjoyable evening on 1st date.
Somewhat limited menu but the food was great. Absolutely great burgers and very casual but fun atmosphere.
We had a terrific birthday dinner! Live music was a treat. Food was excellent! Outdoor seating was comfy and festive.
Disappointing--food quality not as good as it once a was.
Meh, it was really loud, food was fare, good service, more like a bar than a restaurant.
This was our second visit to Beaumont's in as many weeks. We were familiar with new chef Matt Richman from his Table 926 days and were delighted when he became chef at Beaumont's. Of special interest this visit were the soft shell crabs. My husband had sampled them at two other restaurants recently and proclaimed Beaumont's tempura-battered delicacies the best of the three. I had the Jidori chicken, which was also excellent. The new menu is a bit of a challenge for me, as I don't eat fish or pork. I would like to see more types of taco migrate from the happy hour to the regular menu. Also, the specialty cocktails are great!
Living in the neighborhood and wanted to check it out. Very pleasant and would go again. The food was all good, but most didn't hit the level of great. The special (tempura soft shell crab) was very good. Both desserts the four of us split were delicious.
Beaumont's offers a well-rounded menu and attractive patio seating, which, at lunch time, was quiet. Our waiter was able to do a good job of describing the menu items and he gave timely service.
Do yourself a favor and get the coast toast. It's like french toast but so much more. I'm not sure what's in it or how it's made but it's incredible. We had the breakfast burrito and it was really good too. The breakfast potatoes were good too. We had Mother's Day brunch here and it was perfect.
I selected Beaumont for Mother's Day breakfast due to its proximity to home (La Jolla) and because I've had brunch there before. The service was good but we did have to ask for a few things more than once, e.g., milk for coffee, water, jam for toast. Admittedly food was served quickly and was tasty. I thought the jam, though homemade, was missing something. Would definitely return.
Food was mediocre and service was slow
Wait staff friendly and helpful. Execution on the delivery of food not good enough. We ordered two dinners, one mahi taco plate, and two appetizers. One of the appetizers was the entree for one of the diners. One appetizer came out, brussels sprouts. Very good. Long wait. Two meals were delivered. Long wait the mahi tacos came out cold and dry. Long wait. Asked for the manager told her the problem. Long wait, wait staff came back to apologize without food. The carnitas lettuce wraps, the entree for the final guest, took forever. The salmon entree was very good, the paella had one shrimp and one clam, the rest pasta. The only thing worth eating on the taco plate was the black beans. The carnitas was fine. Sorry this was such a bust we were looking forward to all the buzz about the new chef. The waiter asked if he could buy us dessert. We agreed and got four single ice cream bon bons.
My fiance and I have been here numerous times. We have been celebrating out birthdays here for years. I have never had a single complaint... until now. We went on Saturday night to celebrate his birthday. I was honestly disgusted at the server we got stuck with. We both have been in the food and service industry for years in manager positions and we love taking care of our servers. Our server, Taylor, forgot what wine i ordered, forgot to check on our appetizer, forgot to take out entree order in a timely manner, he never checked to see how out dinner was, i had to get up and give my card to the hostess so we could leave because he never went back to check on us. My finace thought maybe he was drunk or just didnt care to provide good service since the ambiance was really loud. We left extremely disappointed.
Beaumonts has been a local favorite for many years. It did need a change, and boy did they do it! The new chef and his new menu items are amazing.
We have been to Beaumont's a few times and have concluded it is a nice neighborhood restaurant with slightly above average food and overpriced drinks. Our waiter was not engaging and did little to add to the experience. If you live near Beaumont's, it is a decent option. If you have to drive much to get there, choose any number of better options around town in La Jolla as reviewed on Open Table or Yelp.
Went there for weekend brunch during our vacation in San Diego. My Beaumonts Benedict and Bloody Mary drink were fantastic. My husband ordered the BYO scrambled eggs and he liked it. We went at 11 am on a Saturday and it was pretty quiet at that point. Nice location too with outdoor seating. We would definitely go back if we visited San Diego in the future.
Great neighborhood restaurant with fun and tasty menu.
We have a fantastic dinner here. The atmosphere was intimate and relaxed. Our server, Brad, was phenomenal. He gave great suggestions, checked on us just the right amount without invading, and was incredibly polite and courteous. Absolutely will return!
The food was excellent. Service was very good. The waitress seemed to be having a bad day and was a little cold and unfriendly. It didn't deter from the meal or the evening.
We will return and have enjoyed before. On this night we were surrounded by misbehaving children of unobservant parents. Plz be cognizant where you are seating couples. There were free tables all around. We didn't request reseating. Could have.
Great service, seated right away in a comfortable booth. Food was great, had chicken fingers for my picky son and fish tacos for me! Definitely recommend!!
Love that they play reggae music!! Will probably come back for the live music
Ambiance was nice. Cute outdoor space and benches. Friendly service. Food was good enough but not great. My salmon was burnt and dry. Wine tasted kinda like vinegar. But I would come back to try other dishes and drinks.
Food was wonderful. Portion size was perfect. The sauces were wonderful but the peanut sauce was amazing. Definitely worth finding.
It was my birthday and they were very accommodating. Thank you!!!!
Their Beaumont burger is one of the best burgers I have had. They need to have a bit more variety on the menus.
Waitress was helpful, friendly & efficient. Food always delicious. Beaumonts is a neighborhood gem.
We come here whenever we are in La Jolla and we are never disappointed. We cames for the lunch last week and tonight for dinner. The carnitas are delicious - best I have had this trip anywhere! My son ordered the hamburger and he was not disappointed. Excellent wine and beer selection. The staff is friendly - an enjoyable evening.
