Chef Bill Gilbert's charming French style bistro in downtown Reno celebrates authentic French cooking as well as modern interpretation of French cuisine.

We serve Niman Ranch beef, lamb, and pork, Liberty Duck, and much of our organic produce is sourced locally including wild and exotic mushrooms from Connie Green.

Our extensive bar and wine list is available early for your pleasure. Outdoor seating is also available seasonally. Private dining arrangements are available on request.

We are proud to be voted "Reno's Best French Restaurant" for over a decade, and "Reno's Most Romantic Restaurant" in 2014 by the Reno News & Review.

We were introduced to this restaurant by friends who joined us for dinner. It was a remarkable expierence. The food, service and ambiance were great. These were joined by a beautiful snowfall and a fireplace that made it a winter joy. One in our party has several allergies and the chef prepared her meal perfectly. Highly recommended and can’t wait to return.

We received a recommendation to dine here from some friends. The experience was wonderful especially the food and the service. The only negative (and the reason why I gave it only four stars) is they started a fire in the fireplace. The smoke was so bad it was making everyone's eyes burn. Staff opened windows, but then it got real cold inside and many people had to put on jackets. We left smelling like a campfire.

Celebrated our anniversary there and hadn't been there since Beaujolais was on West Street. Food was fine but not great...service was good..ambiance ok but very noisy. All things considered...especially the price, there are several other restaurants in Reno that are a superior overall.

Our experience was wonderful! The food was excellent and the re-purposed Craftsman style house very attractive and comfortable. Also the wait staff was friendly and helpful.
I particularly appreciated the "mocktail" and dairy-free options. Even the dessert menu included a dairy-free selection: delicious sorbet.
We'll be back!

Fourth time here, first three times were all amazing. This time the staff seemed burdened by our being there. But more disappointing was that the food (excluding the onion soup, which is always delicious) was barely edible.

Great disapointment on Valentine's Day. We had a reservation for 7:30 made months in advance. But, restaurant had not organized around actual reservations, just times where groups of people arrived. There was a crowd waiting by the door with cold blasts of air every few minutes. We finally got a space at the bar to try to have a drink at 8:10. We sat there another 10 minutes and the bartender never came to take drink order and we still didn't get a table to sit and eat. We left at 8:20 and went to find some food elsewhere. We were not the only 7:30 party who had not yet been seated for dinner. There was no attempt to mitigate the wait with appetizers or drinks and no offer of a discount. This was not a good way to celebrate Valentine's Day. For a very expensive and experienced restaurant this was an unprofessional and mismanaged mess.

This was our third time to have dinner and it did not disappoint; the wait staff and bartender took great care of us, the food was delicious and we left happy! We will be back.

Our first dinner last year was memorable beyond words. This experience was so different. Our table (with a reservation) was 35 minutes late. Service was even slower. Two in the party had steaks, which were served cold. We wanted to order more drinks, but could never get server's attention. I doubt we will be back any time soon.

Arguably the best restaurant in Reno. The food was delectable. The portion sizes are perfect, the wine was amazing, the service was outstanding, and the ambiance was great. I’m still in awe of the delicious food.

The food was good but not up to their usual standard. The sweetbreads were way too spicy. We like the way they have been cooking them for years in the past. We will definitely go back for another special occasion.

Beaujolais is rapidly becoming our birthday/anniversary tradition. The service is impeccable, the meals are deliciously crafted and, on a quieter night, the setting is cozy. Outside dining, with the surrounding lawn and river across the street, is also a treat.

First of all - it was New Years Eve - so probably unusually busy. While the food was very good - 3 of the 6 people received their main course cold. This is really not acceptable in a restaurant like Beaujolais. It can - and did- happen But attention to detail should be routine here. We have dined here twice before when in Nevada - and enjoyed both other times
But I would have to say - this was not up to expectation. -

We were celebrating our anniversary so we wanted a “special” restaurant with a warm ambiance, great food and good service. Beaujolais fulfilled all of our requirements. We had eaten at their former location 4 or 5 years ago and their move to their new location really made a difference in the total dining experience. While the dining room was full it was not noisy and we did not feel crowded by other tables being too close. The atmosphere is romantic and classy in the repurposed former house by the river. The bar area is warm and inviting: great cocktails, too. The menu is varied enough to please a variety of diners including non meat indulgers. Our food was well prepared, fresh, delicious and beautifully presented. We will definitely return.

We asked our waitress to possibly move us as we were cold at the windows table. She was not too impressed with our request and reluctantly switched up the heat, she was not overly polite either. The food was delicious as usual, marred a bit by the attitude of the waitress.

The table configuration upon arrival was bizarre. We requested seating near the window for 7. That was possible but the arrangement was an L.
No one wants to sit at a L shaped tables with them tee couples and a matriarch. The server moved us the the middle which was ok but every time the servers opened the side door a breeze of frigid air roared in every five minutes or so. The serving size were paltry. Two tablespoons of mashed potatoes one broccoli spear and a piece of fish. The steak frites was also nothing special. The service was also slow and the meals did not arrive together for 7 people. Overall it was really disappointing and it only cost us over $500. A lot could be improved and would have to be before I ever come back or make a referral.

We've been here many times in the past. Last Sunday really disappointed. It was a birthday celebration, they gave us the quiet table in the corner we asked for. The food was good, no complaints there. The service was PAINFULLY SLOW. Tectonic plates move faster. Took 2 1/2 hours for the entire meal. People who arrived 30 minutes after us on either side of our table were served every single course before we were. Waited and dwidled our thumbs before every course. Almost walked out after waiting 30 minutes for desert. Beaujolais was my husband's favorite restaurant, which is why he picked it for his birthday. I doubt we will ever be back, despite having gone there many many times over many many years. Avoid for special occasions. Not worth the aggravation.
