Such a special spot! We went for brunch and had fantastic service from Sabrina. The breakfast crepes were insanely delicious. Loved the gluten free/ vegan option (from chickpeas), and an entire vegan menu. Love it!
Do not dine here for special occasions. We have been dining here for six years and it’s fallen very flat in the last 2-3 years. This time, I ordered soup and a crepe and my partner said he would have the same. The waitress repeated 2 soups, 2 crepes. What did we receive? One soup delivered to my partner (on my birthday!) and a bad attitude when we asked for the second soup which came out 10-15 minutes later. We were one of only two parties on a Thursday night from 6-7pm. This was the final straw for us and we will never dine here again.
Our waiter Pete (I think) was the absolute best! Super friendly, very accommodating and treated us so well! We loved It here!
I've never had a bad experience here, going back over many, many years. If you like crepes, there is no better setting for the experience of eating them. Quiet charm and excellence.
Delicious crepes and drinks! Excellent service and ambiance. Thank you for the exceptional service Peter!
I’ve been going to Beau Monde since its beginnings and they are still one of the best restaurants in Philadelphia. Always a pleasure for escargot, savory, and sweet crepes....really- everything on the menu is delicious 😋
Get the French Onion
Always the best. I miss Beau Monde.
Pretty good food. Valentine’s Day dinner and I think management severely understaffed for the night. People waiting in line to be seated for their reservations well after their actual reservation time. Lone bartender was pulled to become hostess. The waiter never introduced himself, asked how our food was, if we needed anything else... seemed overall flustered. But... the food was pretty good. Not amazing, but the price was comparable so would still recommend.
Great experience! Our waiter, Peter, gave great suggestions on both food and drink. The pate appetizer was amazing, as was the escargot. There was a gentle ambiance that allowed for conversation. Would definitely go back!
We were there for valentines day so it was busy, but this was hands down the worst service I've ever had at a restaurant. We walked in with a reservation, and all the tables were full, so we waited for 30 minutes (during which the hostess left) to get a seat. After sitting down with menus, we were finally approached after 30 minutes with a "i'll take your order." The server didn't say his name or ask if we had any questions. The drinks we ordered didnt come out until we were mostly done our entrees.
Loved my mushroom/swiss/almond crepe and I added chicken. Coffee was delicious as well. My friend had the broccoli/cheese/chicken crepe and really liked her dish!
I must clarify my rating on the noise level. I rated it as quiet, but that was because we were there for Saturday brunch and there were only 3 other occupied tables, so there was no problem. Cannot say what it is like when all tables are filled. Food was delicious, service attentive but not overbearing.
Great experience all around. Good delicious, service wonderful from menu questions to anticipating our needs. Above all... Nice people!
Met for dinner with a friend. We spent 3 1/2 hours there catching up and our server, Scarlett, did not rush us at all. Very European feel. They make the best French 75 in my opinion.
We split a house salad, then she had the chicken crepe special, and I had the smoked trout crepe. We both loved our dishes.
I don’t go often but I’ve never had a bad meal here.
I was underwhelmed by dinner crepes and soup for two (80$!) and both were mediocre. Terribly disappointing - used to love this place - and quite the sting during Philly's restaurant week.
We went to Beau Monde for a birthday celebration. As always, it was a great, fun experience. The room is so lovely, with a great energy. But it's easy to have a conversation, too. The food was delicious, and our server was very capable, friendly, and knowledgeable.
My favorite restaurant in Philly - loved it when I lived here 20 years ago, always try to stop when I'm back in town. The ambiance is perfect on a cold night, and the food is unique and always outstanding. ❤❤❤
There has never been a time in which I've been disappointed with anything here. That, in itself, I feel like says everything you need to know about Beau Monde. Beau Monde, is by far one of my favorite, as well as top 5 restaurants; it is one of my top go-to restaurants when figuring out where I want to eat. I work in the industry as well, so I know good overall service, and I have always gotten good service when I've dined here. I recommend everyone to try Beau Monde if you haven't already. I always leave satisfied & full. The food is DELICIOUS AF by the way.
We had a great meal, great service, and great cocktails. Very nice ambiance but my only complaint would be that it was so dark that we had to use the candles or cell phones to be able to see the menus. Overall, highly recommended! The crepes were excellent and there were lots of unique savory and sweet choices. Latka appetizers were very tasty as well.
Food is always great but the service was terrible
took 45 minutes to bring French onion soup as an appetizer. Afterwards, my crepe was cold. Not impressed.
The service was Extremely slow with no apology, check ins or updates. We had to flag down our waiter once we were waiting over 45 minutes for our food. It over 1.5 hours from the time we sat down to be served our meals.
As always, outstanding.
We took my mom there for her birthday and everything was wonderful. There were 11 of us and they did an amazing job taking care of all of us and making it a special night for my mom.
Wide crepe selection. Everyone enjoyed their food. Service a bit on the slow side.
Average cocktails
We were seeing a show at l'Etage so decided to have dinner here beforehand. I had the ratatouille and thought it was very good. Other 3 had crepes and seemed happy with their choices. Service was attentive but not intrusive.
Service was very friendly but incredibly slow and the restaurant wasn't even half full. The food - onion soup, olives, beef bourgignon crepe and coq au vin crepe - was not very enjoyable. Crepes were awfully bland and needed a lot of salt. Olives had a large amount of oregano on them and tasted strange. French onion soup was ok but had a small, sad, disappointing amount of cheese on the top.
Food was excellent, and the cocktails pack a good punch. It did take a little longer for food to come out, but I'll say it's more because of my large party of 11 rather than slow cooks. Totally worth the longer wait for the delicious crepes.
My first visit. Found it a little more expensive than expected for crepes. But the food was very tasty. Service was good...but we were one of only two tables occupied that afternoon. Ambiance is lovely but it was a very dreary day and the space was a little too dark and dim. Could have used a little bit more light. Overall I liked it and will be back.
Dinner with my daughter. Charming neighborhood restaurant with outstanding food and service. Highly recommend!
Cozy place for a wonderful dinner. Generous food portions with excellent presentation.
Great first time experience. Brunch. We ordered savory crepes as a main. They were delicious! We shared a sweet crepe as a dessert. The environment is conducive to conversation. We really enjoyed the experience and will definitely return.
Always good food, I always hey the scallop crepe. Drinks were awesome. The place was pretty empty, we went at an in-between time
My niece came in from out of town. Her brother and my son, all the same age came for a pre Thanksgiving brunch. We all ordered our own concoction crepe. All five of us were delighted with our choices. I could only eat half of mine, so filling. All delicious! We will return!
Very pleasant and enjoyable experience. Will definitely revisit.
I've been to Beaumonde on several occasions with a variety of people and it's consistently awesome! The crepes and cocktails are fantastic as well as the cheeseboard! The service is consistently on point and I love the ambiance and decor!
The kids' favorite brunch place... (we don't need our arms twisted to bring them in, either ;) )!
Wonderful as usual. We are never disappointed. Yummy.
Staff were super friendly and did not rush. One of our couples were late and it was ok. Menu is nice and had good selection of foods. Drinks were delicious. Try the Limeade with jalapenos. Place is beautiful inside, had a fireplace going that was inviting. Will be back
