Beatrix - Streeterville
Beatrix is open daily for breakfast, lunch, dinner and late night offerings.
All pastries, breads and sweets are baked in house daily. Some of our favorites include Angel Food Cake Muffins, Honey Butter Cinnamon Rolls and Chocolate Chunk Cookies. Our coffee and tea program will showcase two iconic Chicago roasters, Intelligentsia and Metric.
Experience wasn’t great. I ordered scrambled eggs, hash browns and toast. My husband ordered cauliflower grits and liked his. Waiter said eggs normally come medium cooked and that was fine for him. My husband loved his food. My eggs were very undercooked. Waiter came back and said they are cooked soft scramble. Wondering why he didn’t tell me that when I ordered when he asked my husband how he wanted them cooked. He should have asked us both. They made new ones without a problem. Then we over heard a different waitress tell another table there was a French toast special. Our waiter never told us about this and I would have ordered that. We had already gotten our food by then. Juices were good. The hash browns were crispy on the outside but very mushy on the inside. Some of the worst I’ve had. Just not sure what went wrong with this very simple dish.
Amazing food and service! Highly recommend the cauliflower salad!
Simply delish brunch!! Fast and attentive service makes it pretty close to worth the $!
Party in private room was very loud and we were sitting next to a private room.
We have recently had two friends at different times in the hospitals in Streeterville, and we had been looking for a reasonably priced place to eat with interesting food... After several disappointments, we found Beatrix-Streeterville: it was GREAT! They have a very interesting menu, the service is good, and we could actually talk with each other without shouting. Clearly, we'll be going back whenever we're in the area, visiting hospitals or not!
Good food, but there really is no excuse for the loud music. It makes conversation difficult.
Excellent for food and service. Great coffee. Great soups. Great salad.
One of my favorite restaurants. Veg burger, poke bowl, turkey burger, salads and baked goods are all excellent
Food was very good! Loved the variety of breakfast choices (along with some options I have never seen)! Avocado Benedict was great!
Great food! I had the farrotto, and it was delicious, my husband had the short rib and it was spectacular. He hates smashed potatoes and Brussels sprouts, and he finished both! Kudos to the chef! Good wine, nice place, overall excellent experience! We will certainly go again!
We had very friendly service in this causal eatery. The menu is inventive, though quite limited for dinner. The Brussels sprouts had quite a kick to them. The tomato soup yummy. The "neatloaf" was delish and unique. The ingredients and dressing in the Caesar were tasty; unfortunately, the greens and croutons were soggy.
Still, this is one of our favorite Lettuce Entertain You spots.
Food was wonderful...great delicious, healthy options and our kiddos (ages 4 and 6) loved it too.
This is our first go to when we fly into Chicago . It is usually fabulous. It was not so this Wednesday. The food was bland. The ravioli that I always get and LOVE had no taste and required s knife to cut through. The $5 happy hour wine selections were great, although a short pour. None of us were wowed by our meals.
Our group was 9 min late for our noon reservation, and the hostess rudely commented that we would have lost our table if we'd arrived 5 minutes later. Not impressed. The rest of the service at Beatrix has always been great.
Excellent as always. The Pot Roast sandwich at lunch is a real winner. It's that fall off the bone beef that tastes especially great on the just-right toasted bun. Their buns are great. Complemented by the Kennebec fries and the horsie sauce you won't be disappointed. And the service is always the best in the city. It's a bustling yet laid back place. Be sure to have reservations at lunch or be prepared to wait 15-20 minutes.
Always our go-to place in Chicago. We wish they would open a Beatrix in Raleigh or Durham.
Last 2 times ordered Burger Medium plus came out rare, had to send back. Ordered well one time, over done.
I love all of the Beatrix locations and food. This location is a bit dark and our waitress was not as friendly as the wait staff usually is at Beatrix so that was a bit disappointing.
Always a great experience. So delicious!
Our experience at Beatrix in Streeterville was very pleasant; good food and excellent service!
Fantastic place for brunch. Delicious food and friendly service.
Yummy food! Great quick service and lovely ambiance 😊
I thought the dinner menu was rather limited. I wanted fish. Only two options. Not a big fan of salmon and the Chilean Sea Bass was too $ for my budget. The ambiance is very lovely. High ceilings with modern and comfortable furnishings. The space had a NYC vibe that I liked. The service was very good. I would like to go back and try it for lunch.
Consistent with prior visits good service. Menu choices limited for my preferences. Standing wait for table whilst several patrons seated in waiting area occupied vacant seats with their clothing.
We got three things for breakfast the cauliflower grits good as usual, the pot roast and egg sandwich which was just the sandwich no side the sandwich was ok but a side would make it a meal. Then the thing that ruined our morning the “fluffy” lemon pancakes, they came out with blackberries powdered sugar and candy lemon zest and a lemon syrup, to begin the syrup was thin and just tasted like it was something I could buy from the grocery store. And the fact that they are called fluffy was a joke the came out flat and undercooked, we asked about it and we were told it was made with cottage cheese and was a soufflé kind of pancake. Over all it was ok but the pancakes ruined our morning.
Our Waitress was fantastic and the cappuccino was the best I've had in the city so far. I look forward to going back.
Great food with great service.
I visit Beatrix Streeterville often. The food is delicious made with high quality ingredients. The atmosphere is cozy. In this particular visit, the mood was spoiled a bit by a waiter who brought my friend the wrong dish. If I remember correctly he brought brisket in place of prime rib, and then tried to convince her that he had brought the right thing. He said they had a special kind of prime rib and that's how they did it here. It was almost comical. The gentleman at the next table was entertained. Rather than make a fuss and wait for the right dish, my friend ate what was brought to her and enjoyed it.
I've been twice now. Food is excellent. Not too expensive, but also don't get huge portions. Drinks are a little pricy but also very good. We wrote we needed a gluten free menu on the reservation and they brought it without question. Also were fine about substitutions. My father did not like his dish and I didn't think management handled it very well, could have been friendlier without just asking what he didn't like (to be fair, he wasn't being that friendly either, but the server looked confused and manager was not overly accommodating). That being said, would dine again, both locations I've been are convenient on the north side of downtown. Easy to get a reservation and nice atmosphere.
Great vibe. Good food reasonably priced. Great drinks. Will definitely be back and would absolutely recommend!
Great food, thoughtful service (even during a chaotic Saturday morning brunch). I've never had a bad meal at a Beatrix and my first brunch was no exception. This is always my first choice for bringing out-of-town friends.
Great food, good service, overall really good, we will be back
Very pleasant rooms, excellent food, diverse-enough menu, very courteous and attentive wait-staff.
This is one of my go-to places for lunch. The food is delicious, the service is good and the noise level allows for a conversation. I really appreciate having Beatrix nearby.
Always A+. The service is attentive and the food is always dependable and high quality. Unofficial faculty dining room of Feinberg School of Medicine.
Dishes were very nice but for both the sauces were way to sweet (pork shank and salmon).
Only complaint was food wasn’t hot when it arrived, but otherwise service and food were great.
This is a great restaurant. I recommend their juices and lemon pancakes.
