The Capital Grille - Chicago - Downtown
This place has the best salad I’ve ever had. The supernatural salad is absolutely without a doubt the best. Anywhere. I have them add the Asian pear with it and oh my....
Devin waiter on us and did a great job. The coconut joy cookie is also one of the top 3 best cookies I’ve ever had in my life. Whoever came up with their recipes should be living on a fancy island somewhere warm. ;)
The ugly, gelatinous oatmeal sat out too long before serving. The juices were room temp. The breakfast sandwich was good, as was the steak and eggs.
The food and service was absolutely delicious! We will definitely be back in the future.
This venue had the classic "Lettuce" ingredients of welcoming service, very well prepared food from a clever menu and an atmosphere that was comfortable and visually appealing. Solid play list and a fellow guest vibe that made it a great decision for us
Great food, nice service and atmosphere! I would certainly come back when In Chicago again.
We love beatrix (all locations except this one) but the service at this location is always terrible. Slow and a burger that was way to raw for my daughter. They tried again and could not nail it.
Staff was very accommodating. Food was delicious! I had the “turkey neatloaf,” squash soup and roasted beets. Yum!
Lovely Bruch with friends
Met some friends on Sunday for brunch and we loved everything about our time there. Our server was excellent, food amazing and drinks quite good. I would make reservations as they are quite busy.
I asked for my dressing on the side and of course they brought mine with dressing. This is a common and simple request and the 2nd time it’s happened. It took so long to bring out my salad replacement that my husband was completely finished eating when I had just begun. Not good at all.
Amazing food and service everytime!
We were seated 20 minutes after our reservation. It was my birthday, and instead of giving us a table for 5, as we reserved, we were given a table for 4 with an extra chair squeezed on the edge, leaving my friend uncomfortable during their dining experience.
HIGHLY don't recommend for birthday. While they did give us a free cake, it was an uncomfortable experience that involved the woman staring at me and leaving me and my friends discomforted in our seats.
The food though? Incredible.
I was a little disappointed with my experience here. There were multiple order mix-ups and half of our food was cold when it was delivered. It also took us a long time to get the food. I recently visited the River North location and had a significantly better experience. We did notify our waiter of the issues and they tried to rectify it which I appreciated but overall I was not as impressed as when I have visited their other locations.
Food was excellent. Wait staff needs some training and refinement. Waitress failed to mention the special until asked; stood on one end of the table attempting to take orders from all 8 of us; etc.
This was the most disappointing Lettuce Entertainment restaurant ever visited. I had the breakfast bar. It had not been replenished for some time. When asked for more salsa I received an OK, but it did not come. Coffee was not hot and when mentioned more coffee was addd, but cup not replaced. My wife had egg white omelet and said it was OK. Would not return.
The food was fantastic. Service was efficient and pleasant.
I can hardly wait to return!
My favorite restaurant! Whenever I go, the service and the food are excellent. Never disappointed.
The restaurant is self-described as healthy comfort food. That is reasonably accurate. Overall the portions were fair sized and the taste and general quality was good. Pricing was reasonable. Wine selection was fair.
They really burnt half of the burnt brussel sprouts. I mean I know it says burnt, but half the leaves were black burnt. Short rib was melt in your mouth and chicken bebe has a thin coat of parmesan cheese on it (not breaded)
As always the supernatural salad and the prime burger was delicious. We are so happy Beatrix is now on St. Clair and Jordan is the General Manager. He runs the restaurant quite well!
Jim and Mary
Very poor inattentive service. Failed to clear first course before entrees arrived, had to hunt him down for everything. My wifes pasta was served warm, and my chicken dish over cooked. Fulton Mkt location much better.
Brunch for all was quite bland and overpriced. Disappointed.
Great food and great service
Yummy variety of interesting dishes.
Pepper maple bacon - Delish!
Cauliflower grits ! OJ super yummy
Fun easy atmosphere
Would definitely return!
Four of us dined for breakfast. Other two friends had the standard breakfast with eggs bacon, etc. They enjoyed it. I had the lemon pancakes and they were small and just boring. My wife had oatmeal which was ok. Squeezed fruit juices were outstanding and waiter did nice job.
The fish, both the chili and chocolate salmon and the halibut panzanella was over cooked. The decaf coffee was lukewarm. The chocolate cake was dry and the caramel pie was very sweet. Service was good, and the atmosphere is casual, comfortable. Based on the food however, will not return.
Gluten free menu with lots of options!
We were seated by the kitchen and battled fruit flies during our meal. The manager and waitress were eager to make amends when we reported it, but they didn't seem surprised. They must be aware that the kitchen is filled with fruit flies. Really turned us off.
The vegetarian selections were just what we were looking for. Delicious Brussels sprouts started off our dining experience. The Kennebec fries were good but a bit undercook and under seasoned. The roasted cauliflower salad and eggplant steak were flavorful. We finished off with the chocolate cake whose chocolaty goodness was appreciated despite it being a bit dry. The server was delightful.
Breakfast at Beatrix is always great. I love to sub the roasted salmon with the “eggs your way,” but the chicken sausage is great, too. Pancakes are great. Cauliflower grits are great. And the shakshuka is delicious.
We went for lunch. Fabulous food, great service and reasonably priced!
This Beatrix is not like the rest
Delicious food and great service
Went for a girls brunch with two food intolerant people and there were options.
Had a family breakfast with relatives from out of town. Loved this location as it is a bit quieter than River North. Plenty of parking and just a more "chill" vibe. Great service and accomodating our 2 year old. Food came out fast and eveyone was happy with their selections. Additional wait staff came around with coffee so no one had to wait. Loved that we were able to make a reservation and not have to wait in line especially with a group. Although it was a rainy morning their outside patio looked very inviting. Lots of shopping nearby and we even found a city park for the 2 year old to run around and burn off some energy. Great neighborhood! I would definitely come back to this location and recommend it to anyone looking for a great atmoshphere, good food and quick service!
Food was great! Waitress was super friendly!
Everything was good. Four star for food because I ordered the roasted cauliflower salad which tasted great but wish there was more cauliflower in it! Overall, great and would go again and still would order the same dish again!
Great place for delicious and healthy lunch!
Great food a d great place!
Most of their reviews focus on their breakfast, but I had a lovely dinner for one at Beatrix. I had the day’s special - Cuban Chicken - which was cooked perfectly. It was juicy and flavorful and just the right portion size. They have a lot of natural juices and sodas. I tried the Cucumber Mint soda which was refreshing. Overall, this is a nice little spot!
