Made reservations at Beatrix for brunch during my Aunt’s bachelorette party weekend. We arrived about 10 mins prior to our reservation time. Our table was set and ready, and we were quickly seated. The ambiance was perfect. Great decor and even better music. Our waitress was delightful. She waited on us happily and was quite patient with some of the more picky and indecisive eaters of the group. All-in-all, it was a fabulous dining experience. Can’t wait to visit again when I’m in the area.
We love Beatrix. We go there every time we are in downtown Chicago. Their lemon blueberry pancakes are amazing!
Excellent food, good vegan choices, great service. I would recommend it to anyone in the Northwestern Hospital area for a great lunch.
Food was great and our waiter was outstanding. Food arrived quickly and was delicious.
Food wasn’t spiced well, mamosas were not flavorful. Service was inattentive. Just not a particularly good meal.
The place was slammed for Father's Day brunch, but we still enjoyed reasonable service. The food was really tasty - especially the light and fluffy lemon pancakes.
Slow service. Bland food. Avocado toast tasted strangely minty. Eggs not prepared how I asked. Poor layout. Felt crowded no matter where you stood or sat. Again, SLOW service.
Saving grace was chicken sausage and gluten free coffee cake.
I’m from Ann Arbor, but whenever we’re in town we do at least a breakfast at Beatrix. A must do. Dinners are great, too, and a good value.
One of our family favorites, food is always tasty, wait staff is cordial and helpful. NEver disappointed.
Great range of delicious food, including vegan options. Was so good the first night, we went back the next. Excellent service.
The food is here is imaginative, fresh, and oh! So tasty. Great wine, too! The salads are generous and they kindly split them to share. Our party of 4 enjoyed the Enlightened Caesar. Salmon with chili/chocolate glaze is wonderful with mini-tortillas and almond slaw. 2 of our party enjoyed a Chicken breakfast special with black bean salsa . It was perfect. Chimichurri steak -not a bite left. Tuna crudo and hummus appetizers were delish...again, not a bite
wasted. Love the food here; would eat here every night.
So many good restaurants in the area that I was surprised to find such average fare and limited menu options.
I was looking for something a little different for breakfast, and I wasn't disappointed. The brewed coffee and fresh-squeezed orange juice convinced me early on that I'd made a good choice of restaurants. I ordered the spicy chicken tinga, and enjoyed it a lot. The only thing I would have done differently was pan-fry the corn tortillas. Beautiful presentation, and wonderful flavor. I'm from out of town, but hope to have opportunity to return soon. Highly recommend!
Love this place! I’ve been many times...mostly for breakfast. The pot roast egg sandwich is amazing and so is the vanilla Greek yogurt! Also love the maple bacon.
Service was slooow but they were jam packed during lunch hours.
Menu always interesting and I tend to toggle between daily specials (always first rate!) and old favorites. Flavorful and fun comfort food by and large - professional wait staff and competent wine list. We enjoy it particularly after an early movie night.
A bit noisy but excellent service and yummy food.
We met out of town friends for brunch. We had a great server who was welcoming and attentive, with good descriptions of the menu items. We each had something different. My white egg omelet was very simple but delicious and fresh tasting. I tried one of the new cocktails and it was delicious, cant' remember the name but it had St. Germain and thyme in it and I loved it. I found it quite reasonable and our friends certainly enjoyed it!
Amazing food. I had the special - mango salad with chicken and other yummy stuff! Really loved the Brussels sprouts in a sauce. Yummy!
Wanted tea but thought server could have mentioned the tea was $6 when I asked her about tea. I didn't notice price and would have been happy with Earl Gray. That was my only complaint. Didn't need a $6 tea.
Nice fresh, clean food. Good service, pleasant setting.
Been here three previous times for lunch, and this fourth visit I brought someone who hadn’t eaten here before. She is a vegetarian and was very pleased with their offerings. We both were impressed by their non-alcoholic special drinks. She had a delicious one with ginger, pear juice and pineapple. I had a nice sparkling wine. I liked the sound of the special, but it came with a warm slice of grilled chicken on top, and I prefer the chicken chopped into the salad. The cheerful server said there was no problem to prepare it that way, and I thouht it was great. For dessert we shared a light whipped strawberry pie, which came with a big scoop of whipped cream and sliced strawberries. A perfect summer dessert. The service was great, as has always been my experience here. To me the only cons are it tends to be a little noisy when full and the tables are pretty close together. Oh, and it is a little pricey, though I think it is well worth the cost. I’ll be back.
Outstanding environment and a great team that works there. I felt very comfortable and happy being there with all my friends to catch and and not feel like we were going to be rushed out. I highly recommend going to this place for brunch.
Table was not clean, floor was slick (we were seated just outside he service station) but the food was delicious and our server was friendly and very professional. Highly recommend the pancakes!
Great place for brunch—even with a two year old. We’ll be back.
Delightful. Imaginative menu for all tastes.
Surprised by food quality and presentation. Excellent flavours. “ Clean “ food which is how we like it.
Server ?? Richa P was excellent.
We were seated at a booth near the kitchen and received water right away. We waited some time for the server to reappear. My husband was seated facing the kitchen and commented that is was unappetizing looking into the kitchen and seeing a dirty mop and bucket. We left without ordering.
Went to meet a friend after his Doctor visit and it was most convenient. We never felt like we were in a hospital, nicely decorated and great menu.
I love having Beatrix in the Streeterville neighborhood. Would like to see more LEYE restaurants closer to Ohio Street Beach. My favorite is the caesar salad made with Greek yogurt with a salmon filet. The kinnebeck fries are pretty special too!
We were for first time there and we will go again deffinnty. We were Monday evening, so was quite. Service from waiter was good. We like the food a lot, very fresh ingredients, good taste. Their salads are amazing and the Prime burger was great, even I am not a burger person, didn't eat burger for awhile, but it was really good. The only disapoinment was ,we have reservation and they offered us table so close to entree or kitchen what was not a pleasure to be.Restorant was almost empty, but they didn't offer a better table. So still they should improve customer service in the future.
Upon arrival the restaurant honored our request for side by side seating. The service was a bit slow but courteous. The food was average. The portions large. I ordered the “nealoaf” which was three large slices of a turkey type meatloaf that came with mashed potatoes and kale. I could only eat one piece since it was a bit heavy. Ambience was nice and wine selection adequate.
Very good food! Husband is still raving about his lemon pancakes! What a shame that I didn't try them! :)
Food was good but not great. Service was terrible. The waiter treated us like we were an imposition, especially after questioning one of the mixed drinks. Very defensive.
Our server was very helpful when asking questions about the menu. There were no issues using our Lettuce Entertain You gift cards.
The food here is delicious and the service is really top notch.
Came for dinner because it was walking distance from our hotel. All four of us were thrilled with our meals. Everything was prepared perfectly and tasted divine. The wine list was reasonable and extensive enough for us. Exceptional service.
I love your server Brock! I had very strict dietary needs for the night and he took the time to sit and help me keep to my plan. The food choice he created was wonderful!
Had reservations at 11am. So did half of Chicago. Waited 20 min and didn’t get type of table requested. Instead got seated in very high traffic area. Food was good, but overpriced for a regular brunch place.
Delicious, inventive food in a comfortable atmosphere. Service was a bit aloof, but fine.
A fantastic choice for brunch. A good, flavorful, spicy Bloody Mary (harder to come by that it should be) and creative fresh cocktails. A broad variety of brunch items both sweet and savory, with a large number of vegetarian options.
The egg and green chili enchiladas were flavorful and filling, and the fluffy lemon pancakes were light and delicious. The steak chimichurri and ahi tunu poke bowl were also both winners.
This is a relatively loud place with (at least today) a high-energy 80s-music soundtrack. That worked for us, but be aware this isn't a quiet spot - it'll get you ready to take on your weekend instead!
