   Excellent service. The mushroom quinoa burger and cauliflower risotto cakes are incredible!! I come here just for the mushroom quinoa burger!

   There was an error on two orders which was pointed out but no replacements were requested. Both were comped! What more could you ask for? The waiter was not the problem. He was the solution.

   We like our pancakes and french toasts hot and specifically mentioned about our preference for that and asked the server to bring whichever of the two orders ready first. Both orders were at our table at the same time. Pancakes were hot, French toasts were not. They prepared my order again but my wife was almost done with her food. Coffee was also lukewarm and had to ask for hot coffee again, which we got when more than 75% of the food was finished. All in all it was very disappointed experience. We won’t visit again.

    Like a lot of restaurants post pandemic Beatrix is not what it used to be. The good, the food is still tasty. The place is always busy for brunch on the weekends. The bad, prices have been raised, slow and at times inattentive service. I ordered the lemon pancakes which are beyond delicious and one of Beatrix’s signature dishes. My pancakes came out cold. It took a solid 5 minutes or more to flag anyone down to let them know. I finally saw my waiter, told him and he took my cold pancakes and said they would make me fresh ones. I had to wait a good 15 minutes or more for the new ones to come out. During this time, the people I was having brunch with ate their meals. Somewhat unpleasant to have wait around so long. They did bring me out the new hot pancakes and they were great as always. When we got the bill, they charged me twice for the pancakes. We had to flag down another waiter to remove them. Something like this would

    Beatrix is typically such a reliably great spot, but on this particular day, I think their kitchen was on the struggle bus. I ordered the Lemon Blackberry Pancakes (which is my typical order) and it was the worst stack I’ve ever eaten. The three pancakes were undercooked (runny batter in the pancakes) and sized for a small child. It was really disappointing and unexpected because their food was consistently excellent until this experience.

    Got the shakshouka and eggs your way. shakshouka was not “spicy,” and the eggs were a bit too watery on the inside (egg white was still a bit too raw for my tastes). there was a lot of liquid on the plate under the tomatoe sauce. the eggs your way were good. we got a side of chicken sausage, and it was extremely sweet. we couldn’t finish it. the coffee and londog fog were delicious! our server was lovely. we did not complain about the food. it was edible, just not to our liking. we would come again but order other things

    The staff was amazing! Very sweet and helpful with suggestions. Ambiance was pretty good. Food was mediocre. I got the burger on a gluten free bun. The burger was very very well done and very dry. There was supposed to be cheese on it but I think it cooked off or something because there was barely any- I thought they had forgotten it at first. There was also no sauce on the burger so I’d definitely recommend asking for some if you get it. The fries were also barely salted and nothing special. I would go back for drinks/ coffee only or a different meal. I don’t think dinner is their strong suit.

    We always enjoy our lunches at Beatrix. Food is fresh and healthy. Whitefish scampi especially good. Waitstaff makes every effort to give you a good experience.

    Good food and good people. I think our server either went on break or was held up by a large group that came in after us, but other staff members stepped in and took care of us. The food was solid for the pricing. It was a nice experience and I would go back.

    Appreciated the staff's help. My 91 year old Mother and I arrived at Beatrix one hour earlier than our reservation time. The Hostess accommodated us with the change in time and help with a table where my Mother's walker could be accomodated. Thank you!!

    I ordered the prime burger rare. It was dry and well done. I wanted straight bourbon, not blended. You didn’t have bourbon. I didn’t think I’d care for the fries, but they were very good.

    I came in for lunch with my mom and sister. We ordered the chicken kale salad. We all had to send it back due to the pepper and spicy salad dressing or it was the cashew crumble on top of the salad. It was so spicy we could barely swallow. We took our salads home and I just put my own salad dressing on it at home

    My wife and I arrived at 12:30 and had difficulty entering the restaurant as she was using a walker. The access door was locked, and I had to go inside to let her into the restaurant. Access from the hospital was not possible as they had a large group meeting at that interior entrance. We had requested a booth to accommodate the walker, but were put at a table that made it difficult for my wife to navigate next to a wooden support timber. She ordered the prime burger and only ate half, as it had little or no seasoning and the fries were nothing special. I had the grilled chicken sandwich and was underwhelmed as the fig spread was minimal, not crust to crust, and the pear slices were so thin, barely any taste. The chicken was very thin, dry and not very flavorful. The homemade chips had an off-putting flavor from the oil in which they were cooked. Overall, this was not a pleasant lunch experience and not worth the $40+ price.

    Always good food and service. Ideal location in streeterville and Northwestern hospital; the back room was closed for a private party so we were not able to access the restaurant via hospital lobby. Using the main entrance was difficult due to having a diner in a wheel chair. The main door is locked (restricted to revolving door) so I had to get a hostess to open the door for us, then upon entering we found that the restaurant stores unused high-chairs in front of the door which all butts up against the hostess stand. It was very difficult navigating the wheel chair into this restaurant. This Beatrix location is on the verge of lacking ADA compliance.
