Beatrix - River North Ratings and Reviews
First time dining at Beatrix-River North, but definitely not our last.
Many options on the menu made it hard to choose just one. The warm pot roast
sandwich was amazing, and my husband had the prime burger, superb.
Other diners at our table had roasted cauliflower salad, and chili-chocolate salmon.
All were raving about their food. Looking forward to our next visit to try other items.
I didn't really enjoy my experience. There were only 2 vegetarian options that I would consider eating. I ordered the risotto; it was way too salty. The ravioli my friend got was too sweet. For dessert, I got a fudge brownie which was stale and very hard (bc it was probably sitting outside since morning in there pastry section). My Friend got a chia coconut milk with pomegranate and it had a weird after taste. Definitely on my list of places to not go.
The restaurant was a bit loud. There was European dance music playing that was a bit distracting. The service was excellent. The food was very well-prepared however I was a little disappointed in the number of vegetarian items available. My partner and I ended up getting two starters, a salad and an entree to share instead of two entrees so it was quite pricey for us.
Sunday brunch was excellent. All four of us were raving about the food which included stand outs like lemon pancakes that were the best I’ve had to delicious steak and eggs and an amazing burger that was crazy good! Only challenge is the noise level but, food is a stand out!
Such an amazing 21st birthday dinner. We came to Chicago for the night from Nashville and were blown away. The food was incredible and so was the service. Spencer, our waiter, was very personable and helped with any questions/recommendations. We had an extremely picky eater at the table and even she couldn’t decide what she wanted because it all sounded so good (and it was!!!). Even though it was the busy part of a Saturday night, our food came out so fast! We will definitely come back on our next trip to Chicago!
Family dinner at Beatrix, food was great and service was wonderful. We started with the brussel sprouts which are usually overrated everywhere but were delicious at Beatrix. We had four people with very different taste and all were very happy with their food. The server was great, timely and had wonderful suggestions. We look forward to our next visit to Beatrix.
I have a dairy allergy - the servers were extremely knowledgeable and able to answer my questions. Additionally, they worked with me to substitute items I could not have. Food was really tasty and I was even able to eat the mashed potatoes, no butter!!!!! Also, it was my gf's birthday celebration and due to the allergy, they brought out a dairy free tapioca pudding (on the house) so we could share. 5 stars, will definitely be going back
We went on a Saturday night before seeing a show. I liked the atmosphere, but the music was too loud. We had a reservation, but didn't need it. The dinner menu was OK, some light entrees and some heavier ones. We had the Kennecut fries for an appetizer, and they were delicious. Different than the average fries, and the dipping sauce was great. We then split the Branzino and Wild Mushroom Risotto. Didn't care for the fish, it was fried. Couldn't tell it was Sea Bass because all we could taste was fried breading. However, we loved the risotto! It was so flavorful. I don't know if I would come back for dinner, but maybe for breakfast or lunch.
