What Insiders Are Saying
More comfortable than a MINI Cooper, Beatrix is a casual and versatile restaurant in River North.
Food here is great. Cocktails are delicious too! Just love it.
Food was gross made me sick i guess i just got the wrong thing but don't try new things here just get what u normally would get
The food was great, service was slow. The chicken bebe and caramel pie were amazing and a great recommendation from our waiter.
Desserts were the highlight. Chocolate cake and caramel pie, dear me!
Highly recommend reservations.
House made chicken sausage was best we ever had. Lots of healthy options.
Loved Beatrix! We were able to make a reservation the night before for breakfast, and I’m glad we did! Everybody had delicious food and the service was outstanding.
Food was amazing. I don't even like arugula but I loved the Straight A salad! Good vibes and good food
Great food, great service with super friendly staff and management.
Great food. Very busy and service was slow.
Meal was fine. The valet was so incredibly rude it will stop be from returning.
I love Beatrix’s food and overall vibe, but for whatever reason my service was absolutely brutal during this weekday lunch rush. Not only did the service take an exceptionally long time but the server was super dry and unfriendly.
good food, and they were very well aware and accommodating of me being a celiac and following a gluten free diet. Definitely a good spot to go with friends, a date or with family.
We had a delicious brunch last Saturday! The food and juices were fabulous and the service was quick for being such a busy establishment. I highly recommend it!
We had a (very) small problem with one of the dishes we were served. I think this is the true test of most restaurants, because inevitably a mistake will happen. They understood the concern, talked with us about it, and more than made up for it. As it turned out we ended up with a dessert we would not have normally ordered which was outstanding.
Beatrix is not a bad restaurant, just not a great one. The concept of health combined with tasty food just doesn’t really come together in this case. If you are looking for a casual meal at a central location this may be your spot. As long as you manage your expectations the experience may suit your needs.
It was really nice! Nothing super special but great service and yummy food.
Our server was friendly, professional, took time to visit with us, and checked-in from time to time. The egg white omelette was sooo good. We are in Chicago for four days and will be having breakfast at Beatrix twice!
We had a great experience however my 17 year old daughter and her three friends had a seperate table and the waiter never asked what they wanted to drink never asked how they liked their meat cooked and never checked on them after their food was delivered. I guess he was not smart enough to know they eat out at nice restaurants all the time and are great tippers when the service is good. Our service was mediocre at best. Good thing the food was good
Our server Annie was amazing! The sweetest and most thoughtful server. The food was wonderful, visiting Beatrix is always a treat.
Excellent food and outstanding service 👍🏻👍🏻 We had a great time!
Totally awesome as finally healthy options and good food! Great cocktails....our server in the bar area was so so slow which was so maddening when you want your cocktail!! We could see our drinks on bar for 10 minutes and we finally had to get up and get our own......Servers need to come and greet you also and not wait 15 minutes after sitting down.
Food was decent but not great, service was fine but slow. Slightly overpriced food and drink. Really nothing special or memorable about our experience.
The best breakfast place I've found when travelling in Chicago. Always a superlative experience!
The best brunch place around! Interesting dishes and delicious too!
The wait was pretty long though.
Just loved it!
Loved it! Great food.
Fabulous! The vegetarian ceviche was delicious as was the burrata. The burger, chicken Bebe and Ravioli all exceeded expectations. The best was the cookies for desert. We asked the waitress to warm them up and they were spectacular. I would go back for warm cookies and a scoop of ice cream everyday! They are not to be missed.
The food was not very hot and they didn’t refill the coffee
Very loud for 8 am
consistent food, always well prepared
and creative. “service was outstanding”
waitress was extremely helpful,
with spot on suggestions. 👍
chicken bebe was delish and carb
free, but couldn’t resist a side of
asian prepared brussels sprouts
we’re yummy too. cucumber, ginger,
lime drink refreshing and good
compliment with brussel sprouts.
next time will try burger.
beatrix is a well oiled operation. 🌻
My fiancé and I had a great meal at Beatrix. The caramel pie was the highlight, definitely recommend!
The quinoa cakes are delicious. Tried the cortado coffee- very good!
Eat at Beatrix every time we are in Chicago. Our go-to breakfast place.
It was my friend's first time --- Salad was outstanding, as well as the Chicken Bebe.
Spencer was very good too
We had such a great experience. Awesome food and are service was pretty amazing as well. We will be back next time we are in the city for sure.
We were quickly seated and served. Food was excellent, I had the chicken tinga and I also tried the breakfast enchiladas. Service was quick, friendly, and accurate. The prices are very reasonable for the area.
My dad loved it, which was a nice plus
We were visiting Chicago for a week. Waiter in SF told us about Beatrix (River North) as did the Hotel Monaco in Chicago. We had breakfast which was yummy, so we decided to go back for dinner with our son and his friends a few days later. We ordered these delicious meatballs to start and split a salad. The special that evening was Thai "fish and chips". The fish was delicate, moist and just the right amount of crispy served with sweet potatoes. The vibe was upbeat and the ambiance open and airy. There are a number of Beatrix locations which means you have even more opportunity to experience this great place to eat! Enjoy!
Overall thought good was over priced and just ok for the price.
