Food was outstanding! We dined for a special occasion tonight and Our server was aware of it but refused to acknowledge it. She did not spend nearly the amount of time at our table that she should have, did not quality check drinks or appetizer course. The atmosphere was divine. The lighting and little touches with the wine beakers and bathroom water fountain. I’m in love with the design and food.
My boyfriend and I absolutely LOVED Beatrice & Woodsley! Three separate people recommended this restaurant to me prior to our visiting Denver. The restaurant itself is beautiful. The food was incredible, the staff was amazing, and the entire restaurant crew even wrote and left a birthday card waiting for my boyfriend when we arrived at our table. I would strongly recommend dining here!! Can’t wait to come back!
My new (!) fiance took me here right after he proposed in a forest in Rocky Mountain National Park. EVERYTHING about this place was fantastic from the food to the server to the ambiance. The vibe of this place is like a magical forest (seriously, there are trees inside!), which was the perfect capstone on a day filled with happy tears. Definitely recommend the crawfish beignets, too! They are to die for!!
I loved it from how they treat you when you walk in to explaining anything to you!!!
A gem! Their menu is so creative and the atmosphere is so different and fun. Denver is inundated with so many restaurants with the same new industrial look and feel, so Beatrice & Woodsley offers a great change from that. Perfectly whimsical all over without sacrificing on artistry and truly fantastic food. Such a treat - I highly recommend!
We had a great evening at Beatrice and Woodley celebrating a birthday. They had a dairy free menu on the table for me. The waitress was very considerate of my dairy sensitivity and even made of a note of something we ordered for the table having dinner in it. She was great!
The food was delicious and we enjoyed all of the specialty cocktails we tried.
Loved pretty much everything about it. The location is a little lower end which made us feel odd dressed really nice as we worked our way to the restaurant, but after that everything was as good or better than expected. I picked B&W for a unique dining experience and would have been satisfied if the food and just been good or OK. As it was, everything we ate (app, split a soup and salad, entree, desert) was outstanding. I read some reviews that left me wondering, but that was certainly not the case for us. If I was to nit-pick I guess wouldn't have minded the music a bit softer for a romantic date (not even much quieter, just less... stimulating) but I gave it 5 starts because everything was really all I could hope for. My date was vegetarian so the only meat was in my entree and she was very pleased as well.
Great place, highly recommended.
Great food and drinks! Server was very helping in recommending drink and food pairings. Atmosphere was wonderful!
This restaurant ticked all the boxes, and I had high expectations coming in. Beautiful decor, romantic and cozy. The food was absolutely delicious, I had the bubble and squeak. The drinks are worth the trip alone, you have to get one of their incredible cocktails. The bathrooms!!! You have to visit the bathrooms, weird thing, I know. I can’t wait to come back.
Food was way overpriced and lacking in substance
Love the space, waitress was friendly enough I suppose, the drinks are quite pricey. Food was great except rustic potatos were undercooked. We love the grits!!!
I left a good tip but now I wonder if the gratuity was already added, which leaves me uneasy. I think searver should definitly let people know if that's the case.
Yes I would come back but with more caution.
Our server was not very friendly and she had a busboy bring out the birthday dessert.
This is great. This is a quiet restaurant where one can have a real conversation without yelling. I will be back. Why doesn’t Denver have more quiet restaurant
Waitress was wonderful. The restaurant is very nice inside and has a great ambience. Music is a bit loud, but otherwise fine.
Food was well prepared and had great presentation. Would recommend for a date night or special night out!
We dinned at Beatrice & Woodsley for Brunch this past weekend, and enjoyed ourselves and their beautiful restaurant setting (definitely one of the most unique and beautiful settings of any restaurants in Denver). In my opinion, the Brunch menu was just OK, and the entrees that were served were definitely on the lighter side for the price... flavorful, yes... but if you are hungry, get ready to eat something else pretty quickly. Service was fairly good, however a drink was forgotten, but the Server apologized for the issue and took care of the drink for us. Will go back to try dinner, but definitely not 'blown away' by the Brunch food like we had expected...
We were able to grab reservations on restaurant week-big mistake. I feel like they really dropped the ball and cut corners on the food. Husband chose salmon, I had the steak. Salmon was tasteless except for the Campbell tomato soup they placed it on. Steak was very tough-even had it cooked per chefs choice. Disappointed-I guess I expected much more. Perhaps next year they have the restaurant week level be a $45.00 and they won’t have to serve subpar food.
Have been here for brunch and it was great. Tried dinner service and the food was mediocre and service was worse. Definitely not worth the $200 bill.
May have been Denver restaurant week, but food was mediocre at best.
You have to love the forrest atmosphere. Food and service were both good. Always a treat to eat here. Especially to get in on restaurant week.
We went during Denver Restaurant week. We will go back to try some new menu.
Service is professional and good. Like the interior layout, seating is comfortable.
I enjoyed the meal that was prepared for Restaurant Week. The food was good but the service was very slow and not very attentive. I enjoyed the ambiance too. Cute restaurant.
Great experience. It was restaurant week so menu was limited. Overall it was good.
My best friend and I went here for restaurant week. Amazing! The food was amazing, good portions and filling. Great drinks and decor, we had a fabulous time! Can’t wait to come back for brunch.
My girlfriend and I went here for our anniversary and I couldn’t think of a better venue for a special dinner
Don’t go without Drivers License if you want drinks. 50 years old and they wound not serve my wife. We got up and left.
The food was phenomenal, the server did a great job, but first drink took 30-40 minutes to get to us. They said the bartender was backed up. It's surprising that understaffing could happen during restaurant week when you expect full tables.
Other than that the experience was phenomenal. Would definitely go back. Expect to give 5/5 stars next time, but if service is slow would drop to 3/5.
Our group went during restaurant week. They sat us 35 minutes after our reservation. The food was mediocre. All 6 of us ordered steak and it was inconsistency cooked and an array of sizes. We were given our main course wine pairing 20+ minutes before our actual main course came out. We had heard great things about the restaurant but it did not live up to our expectations. Hope they figure it out for the remaining restaurant week attendees.
The atmosphere is wonderful and the staff was incredibly pleasant. The food was expensive and none of it was remarkable. I had the steak entree which which an awful cut. It was sinewy and tough. Despite three courses, the meal was not satisfying. I felt I paid for the environment rather than the dinner.
Far exceeded my expectations! Innovative, elevated menu ... love the seasonal twist and creativity! Wonderfully unique dining experience. Attentive, pleasant staff. Beautifully unique ambience and atmosphere. A hidden gem!
Our first time there, and we loved it. The food was great and the service outstanding. We will absolutely go back! (It's just a few blocks from the Mayan Theater, so a great place to go for dinner before or after the show.)
My daughter and I came to celebrate a special occasion, and we discovered we had made the perfect choice.
Fantastic restaurant, great food, great drinks. Deserves every award they have received.
Love the atmosphere and the unique environment and touches. However, the food was less to be desired. I practically choked down the food because of the cost. I left hungry and we still went out to eat somewhere else after this.
Very nice location.
The environment and ambiance is phenomenal and the restaurant is beautiful. We had so much fun just hanging out. The service, however, was subpar and the food was highly disappointing. We ordered 2 appetizers, two entrees, and a dessert and nothing stood out. The dishes are bland and lacking creativity. For dessert, we ordered the banana cream "pie" and it was literally caramel, graham cracker, oreo, banana pudding with whipped cream on top. I could have made this at home for so much cheaper. Overall, we loved the atmosphere and enjoyed our date but definitely, don't recommend this place for food. Next time we'd probably just sit at the bar.
The restaurant is very cool with awesome ambiance. However, our service was very poor. Our order was not taken until 30 minutes after seating. There was a fly in my glass of wine and when I pointed it out to the waitress I was brought a new glass, but no new wine which was upsetting for a $12 glass of wine. Then the food was not served until an hour after ordering. All-in-all we were in the restaurant for 2 hours which was absurd. The food was tasty, but definitely not at the level that I expected for the price. The restaurant did comp our appetizer for the long wait, which was nice of them.
Try the duck!
This is the 2nd time we have come here but 1st for dinner. I love this place and was very excited to show my family the unique ambiance with the gourmet food. I will say this last time for dinner, I was a bit disappointed.
The service was not the best - our waitress was not around enough and we had to ask other servers for assistance. Other tables around us with the same waitress also complained. The heater was broke - which was obviously not their fault but they didn't have much empathy nor offered anything special for the cold inconvenience (it was snowy and about 20 degrees out - they sat us right by the window). Food is always good, however I will have to say that their duck confit was too salty. Also, their cheese board is VERY slim. Probably one of the worst cheese boards I have ever had. Enough bread and jam for 5 people but only enough cheese for 1 person (we had 4 people). Not even olives or nuts! We asked if we could just get more additional cheese and not the whole board again (because it was literally just cheese, bread, and jam) and they said that wasn't an option - we would be charged for the whole board. That was frustrating.
Vodka martinis were stiff but good. Wine was very tasty at a good price. Short ribs were incredible! Also, the veggie option called Bubbles and Squeaks was super good. Would get these options again. I am very happy I was able to bring my family here on a snowy night - it sets the mood right with the atmosphere of the restaurant :)
I think if they didn't make up for the yummy entrees, I would have given them a worse review. Truly, the unique setting is probably the most incredible part about this restaurant. I will come back here another time to give them a chance to make up for the last - but they better fix that cheeseboard!
Loved this spot! Definitely recommend to those visiting Denver.
Super fun place. Very uniquely decorated. Great place for interesting food and drinks and date nights! Conveniently located next to a lot of other fun places for before or after dinner.
