Great brunch! Nice private seating great flavors and cool bathrooms
Fabulous food even for foodies, washrooms that foster wonder, and a delicious decor. Go get some!
I'd argue that the criteria of small plates and bathrooms offer great insights into evaluating a restaurant. Using these, Beatrice and Woodsley really offers a wonderfully unique and delightful dining experience.
Brunch was delicious! Service was slooow. For a while we were curious where our waitress went then a waiter appeared sometime later. Don’t come if you’re in a rush! Beautiful decor!
Super cute place with great food and very friendly and attentive staff!
Food was terrible. Had to send it back and go elsewhere
B&W has been a perennial favorite of ours since moving to Denver. If you get the chance, make sure to go.
Waiter was not very cordial. It felt like she was annoyed by our presence. Food was fine, but generally unremarkable and below my expectations given the cost. Interior design was interesting, but paired with our service, the general ambiance felt stuffy.
We made reservations here for our last night in Denver and it was wonderful! Our waitress was attentive but gave us plenty of space. The food was outstanding and we both enjoyed our meal.
If you are looking for a unique and romantic restaurant, this is it. The food was amazing and overall it was a very unique experience. They made my wife's birthday perfect.
Visited Denver with a friend, chose B&W from the reviews and also an article about romantic restaurants here. Excellent meal, great service. I look forward to returning!
Service was Horrible. In fact a waitress came to our table to let us know our table didn't have a server. They were trying to work it out. What??? Food was Ok but nothing spectacular. For the price and horrible service probably won't be back.
We were disappointed. I had very high expectations for this restaurant considering the reviews I saw. Ambiance is amazing. Of all the wines by the glass, 2 were unavailable. The pork belly was also unavailable and I was disappointed. We ordered the bone marrow, avocado salad and cheese board to start. The cheese board was okay...not great. The bone marrow was also okay. The avocado salad was presented nicely and I was excited when I saw it, however, it was bland and lacking flavor. My wife ordered the salmon and it was pretty good. I don't remember what my dads wife had. I had the duck confit. It was good, but not great. My dad ordered the andouille and prawns. He was eating it and then he complained that the prawns were very mushy and tasted awful. He thought they were spoiled. He gave me one. I tried it and immediately spit it out. It was like a mushy paste in my mouth and was spoiled. I picked up the other half and it had a strong ammonia smell. They had served us spoiled prawns. We notified the server and she apologized and notified the manager. We continued on and ordered dessert. Crème brule was great. Chcoclate cake, not so much. It was very dry. The walnut ice cream that came with it had over candied walnuts and was primarily walnuts. More ice cream was needed to help make the dry cake edible. We had a good time, but were very disappointed. I personally was very disappointed that the manager never came by to apologize or check on us after prawn incident. As a seasoned ACF certified chef who has worked at many Denver restaurants, I expected more. They did remove the entrée from our check. We will not be back or recommend this restaurant. Aside from the prawn incident, it was not horrible, just not up to par for what we were paying and had come to expect. As I type this the next morning, my stomach is bloated and not feeling great. Maybe it was the food last night, maybe not.
I enjoy my dining experience every time I go
Excellent. Best brunch in a long time.
This unique and intimate restaurant is the perfect spot for a romantic dinner or a place to share small plates with friends.
My date said, “wow, thats a host that knows how to host, make you feel welcome and tell you about the restaurant “
Interesting small plays and flavors. Great drinks.
Feel embarrassed to have to ask which meal is GF? They’ve got a gluten-free menu!
Great night at a great place.
Beatrice and Woodsley is one of our favorite brunch spots. It never disappoints! The food is unique and delicious and the drinks are always great.
Great food and ambiance to brunch before heading off the Denver Art Museum for Dior exhibit
My first time at Beatrice and Woodsley for brunch (had been for happy hour/dinner previously) and it did not disappoint! The monkey brains bread was incredible! The biscuits and gravy with the mushroom gravy is amazing! The breakfast in bread was ok...we thought it was going to be something different than what it was...basically a deconstructed omelette sandwich, not an omelette with a side of bread. Stick with the biscuits and gravy and you can’t go wrong! Service was excellent!
The pork and rutabaga entrees were amazing. Our friend had a smaller mushroom - based dish which was good but not outstanding. The appetizer was fantastic and the wine was an excellent pairing. We were most surprised by the service - the host was fun and charming, but our waitress seemed to wish she were anywhere else. I should say she served everything on time and did check on us, but did not smile or engage any further than the bare minimum. Perhaps she was simply having a bad day, but it was not the warm reception we have had before at this restaurant.
Wishing there were some items on menu that were not so rich. Open table menu super different than in person menu, so thought there would be an option without sauces and gravies. Great service and quality and presentation though. Delicious coffee. Fabulous decor.
The food was very bland in flavor despite the menu and waitress describing how it was prepared. The price for what you got is way to high.
The only good thing was the drinks.
We enjoyed our meal and our evening at Beatrice but nice. We ordered gnocchi with escargot which was very good. We loved the various textures and flavors of pillowy gnocchi and crisp fried escargot - delicious. We ordered one turnip angliotti (pasta) and one prawns and andouille. Both were tasty but the prawn dish was better. I loved the dumplings!
Nice ambiance. A bit on the louder side, but that is what you find in restaurants these days. I had a very enjoyable birthday meal.
Great atmosphere, service, and food. Very unique and classy place to take your friends.
Great atmosphere, nice food - a perfect place for a relaxing night out. We enjoyed the experience.
I love the food and atmosphere of Beatrice. It‘s so romantic. I love it so much.
Great food, wonderful atmosphere!
This place is magical inside - The aspen trees throughout make it feel like you're in some sort of enchanted fairy tale. The waitstaff are friendly and professional, and make you feel welcome right away. This spot is cozy and beautiful without being pretentious. And the food and drinks we had were wonderful - I absolutely loved my salmon entree, as did my boyfriend, who had several bites even though he doesn't like fish.
Such a unique place!! Delicious food!
We've dined here before and loved it and we're excited to host our guests here for their first time, but I'm not sure we will be back. We had a party of 6 and were seated promptly. The table was too low and too narrow for the bench; it was incredibly uncomfortable to eat. At the time of the reservation, we we're unaware it was restaurant week and only a limited menu would be served. The appetizers we're ok. The smoked squash salad was not good. The kale salad was ok. The chicken was mediocre, as was the pork chop. The risotto that came with the pork was very good, as was the pasta. Overall it was an underwhelming experience.
My wife and I went for a Saturday night date. This was our first time here and we loved the ambiance. The staff was friendly and provided very good service. The menu selection was a bit odd (a bit too swanky for me) and limited. The portions were small (especially for the higher prices) but it was pretty tasty. Overall we had a nice date night but we probably wouldn't go back for food again...maybe just drinks.
Went for restaurant week. Meal was good but not great. Value was minimal. Not a memorable restaurant week experience.
Great meal! Super neat atmosphere. Even took the time to give me a birthday card. Great experience.
Very good, we would go again. My wife has been wanting to go for over a year and we had a great time.
Love this restaurant! The bar fills up quickly and there was a line outside right when it opened! Very friendly staff and great ambiance.
We went during restaurant week and it was fabulous! I loved the look and feel of the restaurant and the food was delicious!
It was just okay. We went for Restaurant Week. The smoked squash appetizer was way too smoky such that the squash taste was not even evident. The salmon was decent but not remarkable. The dessert was the same. The wine suggested by the server was very good.
The service was good but the food was just okay.
This is a really lovely restaurant. One feels as if they are dining in an aspen forest. The seating is so comfortable and cozy. The food is top notch. Great experience all around.
