Celebrated a friends 60th birthday and they had a birthday card waiting on the table, very thoughtful. The food and service were excellent! I would recommend this place to everyone.
Atmosphere is awesome! The hostesses were wonderful and were very accommodating. Service at the bar was average. We ordered drinks/appetizers. Drinks were great. We were a bit disappointed at the so-so taste of the apps and decided to go elsewhere for dinner. Thank you for the opportunity to comment.
The portions are very small. Interesting decor. Terrific cocktails.
This is such a beautiful space with such terrible food. Much more interesting to read the menu than to eat the items on it.
Food is out of this world! One of the best restaurants in Denver!!
Ian great wait person. Food great and quite unique menu. Decor delightful. Will return for dinner. Was worth the trip from Colorado Springs.
fantastic, eclectic spot for a romantic hideaway :-)
Cool spot in the city. Ate brunch here and food was really good. We had the crawfish beignets and they were great. Shrimp and pimento grits were also very tasty.
This place has a unique vibe, good food and service so is a nice place to go for something out of the ordinary.
Decor was cool. Food was overrated. Cheese board is better at Breckinridge Brewery. I had the pork chop, presentation was nice but cut was full of fat. Not worth the $36. I’d go back for the ambiance but stick to the drinks.
Great ambiance, service and diverse menu, yummy
Fresh, innovative (but not too innovative) food and cocktails, great service, lovely atmosphere!
Beautiful ambiance , creative dining options
We went to Beatrice & woodsley to celebrate a year of being engaged, and then got to come back to celebrate our first year of marriage two years later! In between we’ve gone back for Denver restaurant week to enjoy with all the wonderful people we’ve met in Denver since living here. It is always worth the drive to us (45 minutes from castle rock) but also close to my husbands office in Denver! The bathroom is my favorite part about this place.
Food was good. Atmosphere is very nice. Service was not good and the main reason I wouldn’t return. The staff was weird. They seemed inconvenienced by anything you asked.
We went to try the crawfish beignets - she said “sorry were out”. Then about 15 minutes later (before we got our food) I saw others eating them. I asked why and our waitress looked at us like we were dumb and said “oh, it was just temporarily unavailable”. She could have told us when they were available so we could have ordered them or offered to bring some.
Unfortunately, the staff made this restaurant undesirable for our family and I wouldn’t recommend it. When you go for a $100 brunch, you expect not to feel like your bothering the staff by asking for a straw or not being able to find the “hidden” bathroom.
Cool ambiance, with aspen tree trunks that run from floor to ceiling and are placed strategically to create spaces for seating and tables. We went for brunch and the food was excellent. The pierogi’s were particularly good.
AMAZING per usual but this experience was particularly better because of our server Robert. He was so fantastic! He gave great service, kept us informed of our orders, made great recommendations and made us laugh a time or two. We only come once a year to celebrate our anniversary and Robert made it extra special for us. Thank you!
Outstanding design and ambiance. Very subtle from the street, fairy land enchantment inside. Must see restroom sinks. Food was good, inventive menu. Well prepared and presented. Disappointed they were out of pimento cheese grits - really wanted to try those. Good craft brunch cocktails. Friendly unobtrusive waiter. A real find!
Our family of four (2 adult sons) celebrated a graduation and a birthday here. I asked for a quieter table, and we were seated at the window in the table closest to the door. It was easy to hear everyone at our table, without hearing anyone from other tables. The ambiance in the front room is magical; the windows have a yellow tint so before sunset there is a golden glow in the room, and after dark the lights among the tree trunks are beautiful. The food, cocktails, and wine are amazing. We had appetizers (including the crayfish beignets, and paté), Drunken Ducks, the Bok Choy/black bean entrée, and the Asian sea bass. All fabulous. We topped the evening by splitting the chocolate cake (not too sweet), and the cheese board (which featured a particularly nice aged Brie), with after-dinner drinks. Our server was attentive but not intrusive, made great suggestions, and kept us happy throughout the entire meal. It was a wonderful meal from start to finish.
I was not impressed. Small portion of food, adequate in taste. The sun was in our eyes in the dining room.
I can cook home meals better than this.
Took waitress really long time to greet me after arriving. The table next to us showed up a few minutes later and they had water and cocktails before we even ordered. When waitress did arrive, she was very pleasant. Drinks came out and there was an eyelash in my drink. Drink was replaced and the rest of the experience was fine. Nothing to write home about though. Expected more from this place. Probably won’t return.
Beatrice and Woodsley is my favorite restaurant in the Denver area! The atmosphere and believe it or not bathrooms is what makes this place unforgettable! You have to check it out!
Lovely setting with fun architectural details (sink water chain ftw!). Unfortunately the much lauded crawfish beignets were lacking in flavor and the gnocchi were over cooked and a bit gummy. On the bright side, the barramundi and creme brûlée were perfect and simply prepared. Staff were pleasant and responsive.
The ambiance in this place is AMAZING...which made me VERY excited to be dining there, especially since it was my first night in Denver. That excitement quickly faded when it took 15 for our server to come over - the restaurant was not busy and we had a reservation. LOVED the orange water, but that's about the extent of it. We ordered the bone marrow and the cheese board for appetizers. The bone marrow was barely edible and the cheeses were VERY underwhelming. Our main course consisted of the Gnocchi - which lacked any flavor, and the Duck. The duck wasn't great, but the unripened pear was the major disappointment. We skipped dessert in order to avoid anymore further disappointment.
I want to say again that the decor in this restaurant was BEAUTIFUL. The bathrooms were super cool. Food needs some MAJOR work.
The atmosphere made this restuarant. I think trying to figure out the bathroom was the funniest part! Such a great vibe, food was excellent, service was great, and it was different!
I love the atmosphere and the food is amazing. I get the French toast and eggs Benedict and split it with whoever I’m with, perfect mix of sweet and savory and absolutely delicious. The service is always great too.
Fabulous experience! The brunch was AH-mazing and we'll definitely be back!
Food was delicious and unique! The crawfish beignets were amazing. Drunken Duck was tasty as well! The wine was a bit over-priced, but nothing terrible. The service was the only thing not amazing. Our server was very nice, but the bussers were a bit quick to take plates and interrupted a few times to see if they could clear, even though there was food still left.
Tried B&W last night and I must say they were absolutely outstanding! Robert, our server, was one of the best servers we've ever had anywhere! He was friendly, personable, attentive, and knowledgeable. They staff was also very attentive. Empty cups were refilled immediately, empty plates were cleared quickly and their food was off the charts good - and healthy! The atmosphere was very unique and had a high-end rustic feel to it. Definitely fine dining and romantic. I highly recommend B&W's for any meal!!
Amazing atmosphere to enjoy a great cocktail and tasteful food. We loved every bit of our dining experience!
It was our 40th anniversary. The food was good. However-It did not have the wow factor. What was truly disappointing was our server was really negligent and kept apologizing. We wished it had been special since we were celebrating.
Some creative cooking happening here. The smoked garlic in the vegetarian small plate really made the dish interesting. Loved the anise icecream with the chocolate cake for dessert. Mostly just a whimsical spot for good dinner conversation - not so noisy like other places
Terrific experience at Beatrice &Woodsley. Greeted by Xan and served by Hannah and Heather, we felt welcome and were treated like family. The atmosphere pays homage to Colorado’s mining heritage such as the wood sluice that feeds the wash basins.
Our servers knew the menu ingredients of each dish making it easier for a couple of picky people in our party to select their dinner. Pairing beverages with our food was flawless from appetizers like chicken pate and cheese board (try the French blue) through dessert.
Very fresh and intriguingly creative, we savored each bite of our entrees like the Scottish salmon terrine and Drunken Duck.
Really knowledgeable staff. Food presentation was great
Amazing food and incredible interior! It’s a great date spot and very romantic!
This was fun and whimsical for a special night, but, I don't think I'd come back due to the small menu and poor value. That being said, it has a lovely ambiance; really enjoyed the unique atmosphere. Regarding the food, we did not love the gnocchi, but most everything else was fine. I wish the menu was just a bit larger. I can understand wanting it to be "exclusive," but it could benefit from maybe 2-5 more food options.
I had been here once on Halloween several years ago but only for drinks and had been wanting to go back and actually dine. My girlfriends and I were planning a brunch for my birthday and I suggested making the drive up from Castle Rock. Everyone loved the unique and intimate atmosphere (actually one of my friends is an interior designer and though she had been to an event in the wine cellar, she couldn't stop commenting on how creative the design was-down to the amber glass windows in the store front.)
Our waiter, Drew, was accommodating, professional and personable (and a stickler for a crumb-free table--truly the perfect waiter) and the food was amazing. I appreciated the fact that we never felt rushed and were able to enjoy each others' company and relax. The whole experience was so enjoyable and my friends said, "we should make this our new brunch spot!" I can't wait to go back with my husband for dinner and sample more of the food!
Servers not friendly, food was just OK, not good value for the cost
My wife and i went on a dinner date here. They accomodated to our food restrictions which was great. Food was amazing and my wife was impressed. She can be didficult to please sometimes, which was nice.
The staff is stuck up and not attentive. The restaurant is beautiful but this is the 2nd time I've been there and been treated like lower class.
