We like Beast + Bottle best for brunch, but know that this is a serious restaurant, and a good option for every meal of the day.
My partner and I came here for an anniversary/graduation celebration and it was the most wonderful experience. We did the tasting menu with a wine pairing and both the food and wine were incredible. I would not hesitate to recommend this place to anyone.
This has to be considered one of Denver's best restaurants. It's great across the board and consistent.
We wanted to love the experience. We were there for Brunch. The music and ambiance was awesome, our server was very nice and polite. Our disappointment came with the amount of time it took for our food to arrive. I don't know if the kitchen was understaffed, but service was painfully slow. By the time our food arrived, our mood and expectations were drowned. My lamb hash was fantastic, the kids generally enjoyed the biscuit sandwich, but the 2 meat boards were very disappointing. Feedback is a gift, and I hope the restaurant uses this review as such, given it has high recommendations, and therefore expectations.
cocktails were lovely, as were the small plates to share. i would come back for fries, cocktails, and small plates to share. sadly, the pasta was undercooked, and more sadly not even al dente, there was the telltale line of uncooked pasta as you sliced through a ravioli.
We had a fabulous dinner at Beast and Bottle on Friday night. The staff went out of their way to make it a great experience. They are friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. Loved the braised octopus and beef carpaccio starters. We split 2 flavorful pastas for mains. Ventured into some new Italian wines on JP’s recommendations (he had me at tomakawk). 5 star night at Beast and Bottle - Never disappoints
Took my friend for her birthday and it was a spectacular experience! Not only did they print happy birthday on the menu with her name on it, they provided us with glasses of champagne and a birthday ice cream! Food was fresh and delicious. One of my favorite dining experiences in Denver, hands down!
My wife and I had a wonderful anniversary dinner, can’t wait to come back next year!
We had an awesome brunch here. Both of us had a version of Eggs Benedict. One dish was the special of the day with Crab Cakes and mine way with Arctic Char. Both were really delicious.
We haven't been here in awhile, but food was as wonderful as we remembered. Wait staff are thoughtful and attentive. Eclectic menu, which is locally sourced and superb.
Service and food were both fantastic. We ordered some of their small plates and pasta, all delicious. Our waiter was excellent. We were there for my birthday and they helped make our visit extra special.
Delicious food, great service! Couldn’t ask for a better dinner.
We were a group of 4, meeting for dinner before a concert. The menu said to order 3 small plates per person. We shared a meat board, 2 small plates per person, and fries. The small plates are generously sized. I'd say we could have ordered less, but we managed to eat almost all of it. It was delicious - we were especially intrigued by the dried artichoke hearts that came on the octopus dish. They looked like a dried weed but they tasted amazing! The service was friendly, too. This is a great spot to meet someone and talk. Not too loud, good drinks, and you can get a larger dish (3 options) or small plates (lots of options). It was a splurge for us with all the food and a bottle of wine, but totally worth it.
Everything was good except for the Life after Thyme cocktail which was so sweet I couldn't even drink it. I went for brunch and got Shakshuka and it was amazing.
Great food but you end up paying a fortune due to their small plates strategy. I probably will not go back.
Small plates, big prices is epitomized at this restaurant. We went to Sarto's the following night and were completely satisfied.
Our server was knowledgeable, fun, and helpful. The food was fabulous and the ambience was festive and relaxed, yet special. This is my favorite restaurant in Denver!
Everything was exactly unexpected. Each dish provided an unexpected flavor. Some were basic, others twisted your pallet. Pick and choose your flavor profiles. If something is questionable go with your instincts.
The food was amazing. The service could have been better/ more attentive. Would've spent a lot more if the server came around more frequently.
Really Enjoyed my Brunch here last Sunday. Lots of lovely choices on the menu - very eclectic set of items for Brunch that are not as conventional as most restaurants in Denver. Thoughtful, attentive staff, and attention to detail on dietary constraints. Would thoroughly enjoy again!
Service was stellar and food was phenomenal.
Every bite was delicious.
We have loved B&B in previous years but this was a disappointing experience. The food quality and ambiance were excellent and dishes unto themselves were good, but the menu was disjointed and the server did not help us navigate it to pull together a comprehensive food experience. We ventured toward the tasting menu as a result of desire for a composed meal, but even that was a choose your own 3 course adventure and the chef will prepare a special 4th course. This did not help us navigate the menu, so we veered back to the menu and pulled together an unfortunately incongruent meal without guidance or suggestions from the server. We had octopus and charcuterie to start, were advised against a salad or vegetable or starch small plate for “size reasons”, then the pork entree and triple tasting dessert. The octopus leaned Asian, the charcuterie cheese was so hard it had to be transferred to a main plate to cut, the pork was medium rare tenderloin that chewed like undercooked chicken with gnoccicetti(?) that didn’t seem to go with the pork and the desserts leaned Asian again with tahini ice cream and fried sesame seed balls. It was just all over the place. We were also visited by so many different staff members we couldn’t figure out who to ask what. The wine steward was however the most helpful and even finished us off with a complimentary taste of port. Intimate ambiance, comfortable noise level, not rushed, parking available - all very positive. Just wanted my meal to be amazing and in sync and it wasn’t. bummed.
Food was great. Loved the atmosphere. They brought champagne out because it was my two year anniversary with my girlfriend .
Brunch here is fantastic! The food and service is excellent, our experience here never disappoints. It is consistently worth the value. We’ll be back!
We've been to Beast and Bottle a few times for dinner for special occasions or a nice dinner out, and have been blown away. This was, though, our first time for brunch, and it did not disappoint! The vibe for brunch in the morning was great - fun, great music, bright atmosphere. They had a lineup of some great elevated takes on a few classic brunch dishes, as well as a handful of lunch choices, and some delicious and creative morning cocktails, if that's your thing. Service was perfect, as always, and we'll definitely be back!
Lots of authenticity in this space. I prefer small, focused restaurants, and this place fits the bill.
Had the lamb ragú pasta, carpaccio, and a green salad. Each dish was on point.
Great food, service and an intimate environment. Would definitely eat here again.
We save Beast & Bottle for a special night out every year because they consistently deliver on exceptional food. We know that every dish we order is going to be unique and delicious. Not only that but the service is always on point - very knowledgeable and friendly staff.
Everything was great
We decided on 4 small plates to share and found them creative, visually pleasing and flavorful. This restaurant was less noisy than some and we were able to have a conversation. I would recommend it to friends.
The service was very good. Greeted promptly drinks addressed as soon as we were seated at our table.
However, we thought most of the food was only ok and too high priced.
We had the house fries with the fried egg aioli. The fries were very good and seasoned nicely. The egg aioli added nothing and was bland.
We sent back the root vegetable top soufflé. The word soufflé is the past participle of the French verb souffler which means "to breathe" or "to puff". This was not light or fluffed or puffed and the only flavor that came through was the mint.
The pine nut risotto definitely needed some seasoning, especially some white pepper.
The fig + pig flatbread was probably the best thing we had. It was good.
The grass fed beef tartare was excellent beef. But I was very disappointed that the caper berries were cut into very small slices. And the sauce was put over the beef and I thought it would have been better on the side.
We also had the leeks. This would have been better with an egg yolk vs the hard boiled egg. The capers were a perfect compliment.
There is no salt or pepper on the tables. You may be able to ask for it.
They recommend 3 small plates per person. This really turned out not to be necessary for our group. I also think that $16 for a small plate is way too pricey especially when I could order an entrée for $22 or $29.
The chocolate dacquoise was a small piece but it is rich and was very good.
The bottom line for our group was the service was good, the food was ok, the prices were high
Always wonderful! Great food and service. So many great allergy friendly options!
Excellent. Top 5 in Denver; top 10 in all of CO. Creative and incredibly well prepared.
My partner and I dined here for her birthday because this has been our favorite restaurant in Denver for the past 3 or 4 years. We always enjoy our meal, the staff is always welcoming and friendly, and it's worth every penny.
Went for my birthday where they had put my name on the menu. A nice little thing that didn't take much time. The server Scott was very knowledgeable and gave great recommendations. Food was delicious and flavorful. Great drink menu, my Mom doesn't drink and they made her a mocktail, cute. Dessert which I do not indulge in much was fantastic as well. Definitely on my go back to list. Music was a little loud to have indoor conversations but they have an outdoor patio to help with that.
Met a special friend there for dinner. Had excellent beef tartare as appetizer and excellent lamb pappardelle ragu. Service was considerate as we wanted to have time to talk and sip our wine. We were very impressed with the knowledgeable waiter and his wine recommendations! Will definitely go back!
Went for an Easter brunch. Menu had a great range of options, with very well executed dishes. Bacon was meaty, smoky, terrific except for being way too salty. Other items were lovely. Professional, attentive, and discreet waitstaff. Looking forward to returning to dinner for the full experience. The outdoor seating is on a bit of a slope so we have some concerns about what that would be like. We sat inside the small place which was not too noisy.
Fantastic meal, fantastic service. We loved everything and will be back for sure.
They did such an amazing job not only accommodating my boyfriend with his recent hip surgery but with also making him feel incredibly special for his birthday with complimentary sparkly as we sat down, a happy birthday message on the menu and a dessert. They went above and beyond. The atmosphere is nice: quiet, quaint and cozy on a blustery day. The first two dishes were not as awe-inspiring as we expected but our second two were amazing. Mind blowing actually. Will definitely be back especially as the seasons change. Looking forward to seeing how the menu changes with the seasons. Can’t wait!
Great time! Staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Food was fantastic and exactly as advertised on the menu. Drinks were great, too! I can’t remember our server’s name (I think her name was Melissa?) but she was fantastic, friendly, and fast!
WOW! Complete satisfaction. Food was uniformly awesome, from the house-made charcuterie to the appletaart terrine. First-class bar, wonderfully personal and friendly service, great wine list. Denver is lucky to have an establishment like this. We will be back and will bring friends!
