About Beast and Bottle
beast + bottle is a rustic American restaurant serving craft dinner and brunch.
Run by siblings Paul C. Reilly, who mans the burners, and Aileen Reilly, who oversees front of house, beast + bottle is located in Denver’s Uptown neighborhood.
The “beast” refers to the restaurant’s appreciation for the whole animal, utilizing all parts to honor its integrity. The owners’ relationships with farmers, ranchers and purveyors bring ethically and humanely raised, responsibly harvested and organic (whenever possible) ingredients to the table.
The “bottle” refers to drinks. b+b’s wine program is influenced by the European tradition of drinking wine how you’d like – whether that’s a glass or by the liter.
The menu changes whenever the kitchen pleases based on what’s in-season and what the cooks are enjoying at the moment. What remains constant is a steady focus on sustainability and versatility of ingredients.

Beast and Bottle Ratings and Reviews
The tables are very close together, we had servers backsides in our table space the entire meal as they waited on the table beside us. It felt very cramped. Food was good but the lack of space and constant intrusion really took away from the experience. Unless you have a booth I would not suggest going.
We were seated at a table in the aisle I asked for be seated a another empty table and was told it was saved for some one else. Apparently the open table reservation was not as good as some other reservation. We were the only table in the aisle. It felt rushed and like we were in the way of the staff.
We’ve been here a number of times and if you are looking for a place to celebrate something in style, this is the place! The food is amazing, as always! The service is just as amazing!
We started off with a Birthday toast when to my surprise a round of sparkling wine was served for our toast, wonderful!!!
While the menu is small, that only shows how much care they put in each dish! The portion size, I thought to be small at first, is the perfect size to satisfy your hunger and leave you wanting more! The lamb lag was cooked and prepared perfectly. Thank you again for helping to make this night so special!
The food was very good as always. I don't think the wine portions need to be so complicated. Why do we have to ask what a "pot" is, etc. just state the ounces. Sometimes being too clever is annoying. We'll definitely return. The food is thoughtful and creative. It's a rare find.
- understated and refined.
- good & unique wine options.
- polished service without being rehearsed or scripted - servers are actually speak with you vs talking to or at you & listen attentively.
- small plate options were flavorful & filling so much so that I am prompted to return to try the entrees$$$& ...more nebbiola please!
- 5 star yum!
Lovely restaurant with excellent food. We went for a birthday brunch, and got seated in the corner in a very comfy booth, but were directly beneath the speaker. Our waitress was able to turn down the music enough so we could carry on a conversation. The mixed drinks were terrific! The baked goods were great, and I strongly recommend sharing the pastry basket. The greens on my salad were unusually fresh, large, and yummy, and my salad was not drowned in dressing (a pet peeve of mine). We were not rushed out to accommodate another seating. All in all a very fine place for a leisurely Sunday brunch.
My daughter and I had brunch on a Saturday. We shared the special which was sliced brown sugar pork belly served over pumpkin mash with pepitas and an herbed gravy as well as the pastry basket. The special was absolutely delicious! The selection of pastries was a lemon poppy seed bread, rosemary and gouda biscuit and a pistachio scone. All were perfectly prepared but, let me just say, the rosemary gouda biscuit was mind blowing!
My husband has been talk about dining here for a while now. We finally had the chance to enjoy a birthday evening out. Counts have asked for a better evening with my love!
We sat at the bar a little early for our reservation and Charlotte was a gem! Thanks for the “off the cuff” gin cocktail!
Thank you for adding to our evening!
The Beast and the Bottle team was really good about accomodating my food allergies. Not only was the server aware, but the hostess and the kitchen staff all made sure I had food options. The restaurant has a low-key chill vibe. Food was tasty but a bit expensive. I would recommend going here.
We visited for brunch with a friend and enjoyed our time and our food! I ordered the chicken apple sausage, which was delicious but quite large. Maybe it could have been cut in half or in slices and crisped up a bit. But other than that my hubbies tostada was delicious and the service was great!
Very happy my wife and I chose to come to Beast & Bottle for our anniversary dinner. Top notch food and service in a classy, but very friendly and welcoming environment with nice outdoor and indoor seating available. Excellent restaurant, would highly recommend and look forward to returning soon.
Had a business dinner with co-workers. I picked the restaurant as a gluten-free, dairy-free vegetarian and thought there were several good things to choose from. Service was a bit slow. Karma Chameleon cocktail was fun and different. Menu was interesting, and I loved the eggplant dish I got, however it was so tiny...and it needed to be warmer (again, service was slow -- not sure if it was waitstaff or kitchen.) The fried green tomatoes (NOT gluten-free, ordered by a co-worker) was an app/side and a significantly larger portion than my entree...even if it was shared. Chocolate sorbet (dairy-free) was delicious but maybe 2 oz. serving...again a bit small. I went home and ate a snack. I would return, but only when I'm not in a rush or starving.
I really love that B+B is in my neighborhood, yet so refined and special that it's worth going to exclusively for special occasions. Great service, amazing wine and drink list, and the food is both creative and delicious. If I had to make a suggestion, it would be either to remember to ask more specifically about portion size or have the very helpful service staff be careful to point it out more explicitly. I got a fantastic New Zealand bass cooked to perfection paired with wonderful vegetables and a tomato bisque - the fish was very small and if it hadn't been for the $36 price tag, I could've easily ordered another. Perhaps I should've had more of the small plates menu.
mixed green salad still had some sand in it, fried green tomatoes were bland & overly breaded & needed to have been seasoned more. Entrees were just ok, tomato bisque on the sea bass was a bit bland needed S&P and more fat incorporated into it. Little zucchini rolls were cold, uncooked which seems inappropriate for a hot entrée. Dessert was ok (the dacquise). over all for the price seemed a bit tired and uninspired. Wine selection was good, small and eclectic.
For 2 people ...200 bucks, I can find better. sorry...
