Loved it! Very accommodating to specific dietary requirements.
Our Sunday lunch at Beast was pleasant. The patio was nice and the staff were very attentive and helpful. The food was disappointing though. We had the pancake souffle and the chicken thigh sandwich. The souffle was interesting but quite dry. The chicken seemed really salty.
Sat at the BAR which was better than any table, had a great conversation with JON, who made amazing drinks and kept things flowing with wine that matched the dishes. Beef Tartare was amazing, Pork too, fun to hang with the bar people. If you only go there for JON and have a drink that’s good enough. Very talented and makes the evening memorable.
First time to Beast and Bottle and we love everything about this restaurant! The food is outstanding with lots of flavor and depth. Everything is seasoned and cooked to perfection. Plating and presentation is nice. Service was friendly and reasonably timely considering quality. Overall highly recommend dining experience for date night or special occasion!
This was our second time at this restaurant and once again we weren't impressed with the food at all. Considering how expensive everything was we would have thought the food would be mind blowing but it wasn't even mediocre. Pasta was over done and oysters were terrible. Service was great and so were our mixed cocktails but we came for the food. Should have went to Acorn...
Was here with friends around a business meeting. We picked this restaurant because the food sounded interesting and edgy and we're willing to forgive an occasional loser plate, of which there was I think one of the eight small plates we ordered. Also, the wines by the glass list were quite interesting (indigenous red blend from Hungary and another from Macedonia). So, if you're not looking for run of the mill food it's a pretty good place.
Beast and bottle was overall very underwhelming. Everything on the menu sounds phenomenal and I wanted to like everything. But nothing
Don’t mistake Beast + Bottle for just another place for lunch of dinner, as are many on its avenue.
There on a Friday night with two friends who did not know Denver at all, we chose to do the B+B’s version of an all-table tasting menu with matched wines, a menu option both somewhat different from the usual rigidity of that sort of option, and amazingly personalized. Each of us had our appetizer option and our entrée choice from the entire menu, and we were all to have a “surprise” middle course which would be the same for everyone. One of our party chooses to avoid gluten, and that presented absolutely no challenge to the kitchen. After an introductory glass of sparkling, we were met by an extremely knowledgeable sommelier who brought four different wines to the table for each of the individually-chosen courses, matching each quite generous pour with the particular dish before each of the diners.
The food was exquisite, complex flavours carefully woven into pure pleasure, and explained in some detail before the orders were finalized: my appetizer was duck cappelletti in a jasmine consommé, with mushrooms and duck prosciutto; and my main of heritage pork + confit with fermented apples, parsnips, and an apple-juniper berry jus. Both were presented in an artfully pleasing and convenient-for-eating plating, and were an adventuresome sojourn through the possibilities their ingredients held. The wines chosen to accompany these could not have been more perfect, and the broad cellar available to the very astute sommelier added a new dimension in our understanding of and appreciation for this neighbourhood gem.
The service was perfect, with all waitstaff informed and pleasant; one diner’s plate was held back until she had returned from a brief absence from the table.
The pricecame as a very pleasant surprise for this group, accustomed to such fine dining in larger coastal cities: $100 per diner came in well under anything anticipated for such an experience.
We had a delicious brunch & cocktails on a Saturday morning.
Waitress was amazing! Very knowledgeable and fun made our date so enjoyable!! Will definitely be back again!
Definitely the experience we were hoping for, a quaint vibe with farm to table deliciousness and service beyond excellence. We enjoyed it all!
We went for brunch. The menu was limited and very....trendy. If you’re very adventurous from a culinary standpoint it might be your bag, I found the menu choices overly complex and difficult to decide on simply because the flavor combinations were hard to intuit (doesn’t help that I don’t care for eggs and literally every single brunch dish had eggs integrally involved). The server was no help deciphering the menu, she wasn’t able to provide any details on the food and wasn’t aware of what was in certain dishes. The pork shoulder tostada I got ended up being pretty good, but it was a total shot in the dark based on the menu description. Overall I’d say the food was fine but not exceptional, certainly not worth the effort.
Wow. Really good. Lamb raging was awesome and wine by the litro was a winner.
This was an outstanding restaurant with wonderful food. The best we have had in a very long time and would most definitely go back. It is a must go to for special occasion or just to grab a small plate at the bar. Just outstanding.
This is my favorite brunch place in Denver, it’s always so cozy.
Wonderful experience, service was accommodating and experienced. Food and beverage was delicious and well crafted.
Went for brunch to celebrate my daughter's birthday. Everything was great and they treat us and especially her very well. All the dishes were creative an tasty.
Beast and Bottle was outstanding! From the greeting by the host who takes your coat, to the awesome service by the team. The chef does an amazing job by making you savor every bite. My fiance and I had a lovely evening and can't wait to come back!
Ambiance was very nice. Presentation of food was exceptional as was the service.
The tuna appetizer was very good, and they have a small but nice selection of interesting wines.
Our server was wonderful. But the main courses were mediocre at best. We ordered a red snapper-- our favorite fish-- but it was not cooked well, and it was in a cream sauce way too rich for the fish. We also ordered the pork which was five tenderloin-like medallions. It was fine, but no better than fine. Nothing special or interesting in the flavors. The prices of the entrees do not reflect the quality of food. Not trying to hurt the restaurant but just didn't think it was worth the money.
Awesome food and drinks. Home made sauces (aoili, hollondaise, bernaise- yum!), attentive service. I love the options of water- bubbly or flat, and having a salad instead of potatoes as a side.
Went there for brunch, had the chicken sandwich. Truly outstanding. Great service, enjoyed the music they played.
Every dish was exceptional! We all had a different dish and all would order again.
One of the top 3 meals I’ve eaten in my life times. Get the sampler menu with the wine pairings!
First time in for brunch. Our server, Adam, was great. Five in our group. Three ordered the special, pork belly, black eyed peas, kale, poached egg, good. The favorite meal was the black pepper bourbon sausage on the Wake up menu. YUM-O
If ordering mimosas, ask about the Cavo litro, after ordering the fourth mimosa, noticed the liter on the bevy menu, much better on the cost side.
We’ll be back.
Our group opted for the tasting menu with wine pairing. It allows you to select most of the courses with one course selected by the chef. Almost everything was incredible. The salad was good but there are so many other items that stand out, and the pork was slightly dry. The wine pairings were inventive. The service was attentive but not overbearing. The restaurant works as one team so no "let me get your waiter". Everyone in our party plans to go back.
We had brunch at Beast and bottle on a Saturday and at the last minute had to up our reservation. They were so accommodating and wonderful. Everyone enjoyed the food- but it was definitely in the pricier side. I will definitely be back. The pork tostadas and the French omelette sounds were big hits!
The food was incredible, but the service was out of this world. From the moment we sat down until we left, we were constantly impressed with the service. As for the food, I like the small menu because I felt like we were eating food that the chefs wanted to cook. We'll definitely be back.
Some food was too salty. Never did have a dessert we really liked. Sommelier was great.
The food and wine pairings were well thought out. We could appreciate the care that was put into organizing a great dinner for a once a year celebration.
