The pianist was very talented and created a nice ambiance, service was fantastic, as was the (albeit pricey) visit to the vodka room. We had the 3 course tasting menu, which was quite overpriced - as both I and my partner work/cook in high end restaurants. We don’t have a problem paying expensive prices, if the food is actually cooked properly. Extra money for bread - fine, becoming more common. But paying $110+ for overcooked beef and rabbit isn’t in line with what we like spending money on. Apparently it’s better if the owner is there, but I probably won’t experience that, as Araxi won me over after dining there the night before.
Was taken back with main courses at $60 each. Bread for the table extra cost. Water extra cost. I was abit dumbfounded. Menu does not provide prices.
Service was very good but felt the ambience was stiff and not ‘comfortable elegance’. Felt abit smothered by staff asking non stop if everything ok and interrupting our conversations to do so. Feel bad saying that as they were very polite and pleasant and trying hard.
Vodka tasting $48 pp for 4 half shots .. that was enough but still pricey.
3 course meal is $110 CAD .. I think this is a special occasion restaurant as long as you know the prices upfront.
Our main course meals were very good.
Nobody greeted us at the entrance for a while till a bartender finally felt bad enough and came out to help. 3-4 people finally came to check the reservation and took our coats but it wasn’t clear who was in charge because everyone was so unprofessional. Food was excellent, but again, servers don’t seem to have good knowledge and trying painfully hard to impress.
Our second visit in a few days was just a great as the first one. We tried different things on menu this time and were thrilled by the seafood and oysters. The kids menu is tops according to child and she said the apple dessert was the best choice ! Everyone made us feel welcomed and at home. We can’t wait to come back !
Superbe soirée au Bearfoot ! This place never ceases to amaze its guests looking for a good time and amazing food. Everyone makes you feel special from the moment you climb the stairs to the entire foodie experience. Best wine list I’ve seen in a while and exceptional service. Patrice was great as our main host. Everyone around us was having a similar amazing time on January 1st. Bravo to the entire team !
We made a reservation but were unaware that it would only be a set menu when we called. Nice place, attentive service for the most part but when compared to the price, the food was very mediocre. The plating is very fancy, but the overall taste is rather ordinary and tasteless at times. It also gave a feel of a culinary school restaurant as the servers who introduced our meals were not familiar with the ingredients.
Wonderful! We dine every Christmas holiday with Barefoot Bistro. This year we sabered a bottle of Dom in the wine cellar before dinner, “Great Fun.” Only disappointment, Andre’ did not visit the tables. He usually makes his rounds greeting diners, we missed him. Chef Melissa never disappoints. Amazing!!!!!
Quite good and exceptional service, but a bit underwhelming for a foodie. Restaurant has a tasting menu only, and many items are good (black cod is is exceptional). But, not great overall. More local would have been better and more appropriate. The menu was designed to be over the top though (Quebec foie gras and deer for an extra 20-40 in BC?!), which doesn't make it great. Nice choice for Whistler. On the expensive side.

Featuring $40 ice cream, $30 tap water and a total of 900 dollars for 6 people this restaurant is definitely one to stay away from. The food was mediocre but the price was extravagant. At Quattro a much better restaurant, with much larger portions, as soon as we mentioned that we paid $30 for tap water they instantly knew that we had gone to the Bearfoot Bistro.
The service was not bad but after being served half a fist-sized entrees and being given a $900 bill we left with a definite conclusion. NOT WORTH THE MONEY.
This place was awful. The overly loud piano competed with all the drunks at the bar and then when the pianist took a break, terrible music blared through an outdated speaker system. Service was obsequious, food was mediocre to inedible, menu was incredibly limited. And at the end I had a $400 tab for two. Never again.
Special thanks to Andre for being our phenomenal host and story teller of Napoleon Bonaparte's champagne sabering. The waitresses were also super accommodating and friendly. They not only cleared up a scheduling misunderstooding but also provided impeccable service to my business partners!
The starters and deserts were amazing, but the main course was disappointing. The fish was nothing to write home about and the pork chop was barely any meat, mostly fat. Overall its a nice place, but for the price I was expecting every course to be top notch.
