It's the combination of a familiar flavor with a new technique, a local ingredient given an international twist.
Saturday nights the Champagne Lounge lights up it"s disco ball, fires up the DJ and provides a sophisticated venue for post dinner drinks and dancing.
Fabulous as always.
Great food and service. Outstanding wine cellar and experience. The best volka ice room. Our go to place when visiting Whistler.
Great staff they go beyond to make your night enjoyable ... food amazing , ambiance great fun atmosphere. Nice to see staff not standing around always working especially the (manager) never stops.
Solid meal but overated. Tourist trap vibe. The halibut was amazing. The lobster was ok - a bit overcooked. Excellent wine list. Dessert (pineapple upside down thingy) not good at all - we didn't eat it and reported that to one of the 3 gentlemen serving us, but it was still on the bill. Tomatoes on caprese appetizer did not seem fresh and local as advertised - maybe the were, but not amazing just ok. Overall just ok and way overpriced.
Phenomenal dinner enjoyed by all in our group of 6. Extremely elegant service, and staff knowledge was top notch.
Chef’s tasting menu was spectacular-
her honed talents with flavor, texture, and fine ingredients were artfully presented.
Take the opportunity to simply close the menu & prepare to be duly impressed!
The wine pairings were expertly chosen by our Sommelier & loved by all. His thoughtful selection & flexibility with different dishes was masterful.
Our visit to the impressive wine cellar to Sabre our Champagne added an extra level of unique decadence to our evening.
Having enjoyed first class dining around the world, we all agree the Bearfoot Bistro is absolutely Michelin star quality.
MY daughter and I don't do this too often so it was very special for us. Your staff went over and above. Michael was outstanding and sorry but I can remember the name of the wine gentleman but he was excellent too.
A nice restaurant, but yet overrated. The duck was special, but the halibut just regular. The service that day was confused.Three people serving the wine, that means nobody.
Great cocktails, amazing food and wonderful service. Awesome experience start to finish!
A spectacular meal with excellent service and the ability to deal with the unexpected
Servers seemed very confused; we had to swap cutlery between ourselves, they didn’t know who ordered what. We were not offered coffee or tea with our dessert. Food overall was quite salty, but not terrible. Overall, did not feel that $98+ per person was worth the experience.
To be fair, they were very polite and tried their best. We assume that they were working part time for the summer; however, given the pricing of this restaurant, we expected that they would’ve been properly trained.
I had the lobster which was under seasoned. My date had the duck that was rubbery. Seated next to a wooden stairwell where kids kept running up and down. Had a margarita that had no flavour at all. Wouldn't recommend.
A very nice dining place when you visit Whistler.
Dîner d amoureux
My husband and I had the 5 course dinner. The food looked and tasted great, the wait staff was wonderful and helpful with wine selection. We had a wonderful evening. It is on the pricer end, so if you're on a budget this is not the place for you.
The staff were amazing and the food was absolutely sublime. It is upscale dining and wine but worth it for special occasions.
Everything we had was amazing. Even my five-year-old nephew's margarita flatbread and mocktail were fantastic.
I had the cauliflower soup which I could live on forever, the vegetarian option which was an Asian-fusion dish of fresh, lightly cooked veggies in a soy-ginger tasting broth with dumplings on the side.
My friend, nephew, and I split the nitro ice cream, which apart from being really fun to watch it getting made table-side, was some of the best ice cream that I've ever had.
Sadly, I was driving, so I could only indulge in one cocktail at the start of the meal, but I could easily work my way through the majority of the menu.
Best fine dining in Whistler. I took my husband here for his birthday along with another couple. This is more than just dinner this was a dining experience. From sabering champagne bottles to Ice room vodka tasting to amazing prepared dinner and the grand finale table side home made ice cream! We stretch the dining time out and it was well worth the 3hr dinner. Cheers we look forward to another birthday celebration. Everyone at table said it felt like their birthday as well :)
Amazing dining experience well worth the drive we came from the island after many people suggested it to us.
The whole experience was amazing. We found the staff to be friendly and efficient. The food was out of this world. We are looking forward to having another special location that we can celebrate at this restaurant
One of the few restaurants in Whistler with a variety of creative dishes and a truly high-end dining and service experience.
The menu is interesting and varied. The presentation of the food is impeccable and the flavours delicious and well matched. The staff are knowledgeable and friendly.
Service and food were excellent. We sat at the bar to start and enjoyed the inventive cocktail menu. From there, we had dinner in the restaurant. There were four of us and we all had some variation of the 3 course menu. Everything was delicious.
As a table of four, we all enjoyed our 5 course menu. The wine menu was incredible!
I always debate whether the best "occasion" restaurant in Whistler is Araxi or Bearfoot Bistro. Both are great, but I opt for Bearfoot if I want that extra touch of formality and ambience - the ambience is more formal and quiet, whereas Araxi is more casual and noisier.
Really great quality meal. They accomodated our dietary requirements very generously.
We enjoyed the half price 3 course menu offering and really enjoyed the beautiful food. The server went out of his way to be helpful and the sommelier was very knowledgeable and able to give a great wine recommendation. Thanks for a great evening!
Anniversary dinner. Absolutely amazing!!!
This place is really amazing. The 5 course selection are brilliant. They have really creative ideas about each ingredient. The vodka ice room for me is the must do list!
All in all,try this perfect dine out place! Sooo good and so worthy.
We got engaged today and everyone at Bearfoot was fantastic in helping us celebrate the occasion! Thank you :)
the food and services are both very nice and the nitro ice cream too but just a bit expensive, our kids enjoy their dishes too!!! will go again if we are in whistler
Excelente atención y servicio. La comida exquisita.
Muyyyyy caro y malo ! Precio x persona y si pedimos a la carta un robo por platillo ...no vale la pena
Amazing food. The deer loin is superb!!
The food was honestly so tasteless and bland I will never go here again. 300 $ and I had to go home and cook after not only due to the lack of actual food but also becuase it was boring and pathetic for any restaurant, let alone one that rips you off this much. What a joke. Super disapointed. If you have the choice Araxi is 1000000% better if we're comparing quality. Honestly i want my money back. Never again.
Over priced, and trying too hard. Flavour and texture combinations didn't work, and the seafood was overcooked. Service was plentiful -- we were almost never served twice by the same person throughout our meal -- but a bit intrusive / prodding at the outset, which detracted from the laid-back vibe we were seeking
We tried the tasting menu. Each dish was creative, delicious and beautiful. Exceeded expectations.
The servers complimented each. The ambiance was superb. Overall I have nothing negative to say about my experience!
Don't miss the liquid nitro handmade at tableside ice cream. Don't miss the vodka ice room tasting. Ask for a tour of the wine cellar. Amazing wine list, amazing menu, amazing taste, amazing bill. It was a wonderful evening. Ask for Aasha as your server/feeder. I will be back next time I am in Whistler.
Did not live up to the reputation we had heard. The wine list was great but the food seemed pretty average for a high end restaurant. Maybe if we had done the tasting menu we would have a different opinion. The sommelier was great, our waitress was okay, the SAs seemed more professional than our waitress. Overall, I would not return (unless it was just for drinks or vodka tasting).
We love this place, been coming for over 20 years. Food is always excellent. Service is great. If Michelin were to rate it, I would say 3*.
Only problem This visit was the plates used for the hamachi appetizer. My wife’s knife slid into the food and subsequently the fork, each time requiring a fresh utensil. They need to pay attention to the functionality of their plating.
