Beano's Cabin Ratings and Reviews
The sleigh ride that took us to the cabin was amazing as it allowed us spectacular views of the snow covered mountain, lots of picture opportunities. The service was amazing and the 5 course dinner was top notch, allowed us magnificent choices on their pre selected dinner fare, compliments to the Chef and his staff. The cabin’s interior was rustic and beautiful. Our experience at Beano’s was one of the highlights of our Colorado vacation.
This was an event with the snow cat ride up the hill. Once you arrived it was exactly like being at Disney World on the mountain. Very average food. We had it all, nothing worth mentioning. Great wine selection but over priced. Service charge is put on the bill and the staff reflected they didn’t need to do their work. Besides a great location and something different. Skip this one if you want fine dinning.
Beano's Cabin is amazing!!!!! It's not just dinner, it's an experience!!! The sleigh ride up is so fun. When you walk in- you are offered SLIPPERS! The service is 5 star and the food is a million stars!!! Each course is so amazing!! Two of the people I was with said the venison was the best meat they've ever eaten. My brother is vegan and they easily accommodated an amazing 5 course meal for him. The sommelier was so helpful in choosing a lovely bottle that fit our budget. The ambience is amazing and the live music was wonderful. Worth every penny.
VERY DISAPPOINTED FOR NEW YEARS. NOT THE HIGH QUALITY OF PRIOR YEARS.
My wife and I have a home in Beaver Creek and have frequented Beano's several times in the past and numerous New Years dinner and celebrations .
In the past New Years celebrations, there was an outstanding band, a dance floor, party hats and noise makers, and a special high quality New Year's menu. Some of our dear friends along with my wife and I had the best New Years celebrations ever at Beano's. We still talk about it--that is how special it was.
This year was totally, different with one person providing music and singing. No dance floor as Vail Resorts had tables for dining as they need to extract every nickel from their guests. The staff was encouraging the guests to get down the mountain before New Years. There were probably 10 people left at New Years.
It was even more disappointing to our friends who traveled from Brazil and the husband wanted to impress his new wife.
To say that we were highly disappointed is an understatement. Beano's was a special place to dine and this is no longer the case with Vail Resorts. The guests that are going to Beano's are expecting an exceptional experience and are willing to pay for it. However, the high quality of the past of Beano's is gone.
Somm didn’t seem terribly knowledgeable but the wines were fantastic. Great pairing choices, however we had to remind our waiter to bring the pairing for our entree. Food was just as good as everything else in beaver creek - not above and beyond. Sleigh ride was fun and ambiance is unmatched.
First off, be prepared for a 5 course meal whether you want it or not. The food was excellent, but don't go unless you're hungry for all 5 courses + bring a wad o' cash. I guess we should have checked it out more, but I never thought about it. Our waiter, Matt, was kind of uppity when we tried to figure out a work-around for not spending $100 each for both of our kids who had eaten previously (they're both really picky eaters & they eat in advance when we don't know if they have kids' options). I'm more of a meat-n-taters kind of average Joe, so the whole meal was a waste on my blue collar palate. We took the horse ride up to the restaurant which was totally cool, but also cost $160 for 60 minutes. Throw in 2 full meals, a couple of drinks, tip, the snooty waiter's attitude & the horse ride...$500. Maybe that's chump change to the big rollers of Vail, but not for the common man from MN.
Lamb was gristly. Rest of courses nothing special. Horseback ride conflicting instruction on time to show up. 445 or 430? Horseback welcome area was a shoddy tent with old dirty helmets being offered. No regard for treating the riders the same as diners would be welcomed upstairs. First impressions are the most important.
Service outstanding with Leslie/Bret.
Tourist trap really. There are many better dining options nearby. This was our second try with no plans to repeat.
The cuisine was superb (even better that the previous chef, whom also was excellent). The music from the singer/guitarist (I believe his first name was Roy) was fabulous. The horseback ride to the cabin was a lot of fun (our guide was a young lady named Orion). All in all, a magical evening.
Beanos was as good as everyone says it is. The food was excellent, service was prompt without hovering but the real reason you pay this much for a meal is the ambiance and they have it in abundance. If you have the chance and if your budget can stand it...try it.
I have known about this place for a long time since my parents have been going for 15 years there while visiting Beaver Creek. They have a creative menu and the food and service are very good. However, I cannot understand why they raised the price from $85/person to $107/person and a drink is not included. Yes it is an experience to go once, but that is all I will do. I prefer simpler food, but if you are a gourmet food guru and want to spend a lot on food and drink, then you will love it.
Beano's Cabin is unlike any other place. The food is exceptional and unique and absolutely delicious!! The people and service are outstanding, so kind and accommodating they complete the experience. It's hard to describe just how amazing and magical a dinner at Beano's can be, you'll just have to find out for yourself. You won't regret it!
Yes, it is pricey, but absolutely worth it. The service was attentive but not intrusive and the staff was very knowledgeable about everything on the menu, food and wine both. Matt made several suggestions, which we followed, and he was dead on target on each one. Eric is probably the best sommelier I have ever met. His depth of knowledge about the wines and the history of them was amazing. His first recommendation was not the most expensive on the list which is rare and impressive. We settled on a more expensive wine that complimented the meal perfectly and made a special occasion even more special. The final touch was the hostess walking us out and wishing us a happy anniversary. Amazing. Thanks to everyone at Beano's for another memorable evening.
Beano's seems more about the experience than the food. On the mountainside in Beaver Creek, the setting is beautiful although not for it's vistas. A 5 course meal for all, the choices were varied to suit any palate. Opened with good gazpacho and a nice peaches and cream salad. We had crab cake appetizer-excellent- and wild mushroom ravioli - acceptable. The lamb entree was very good, cooked to order and tender. The eggplant entree was so-so. Desserts not particularly notable. Service was excellent as was the wine list.
Absolutely outstanding. Knowledgeable staff, perfect mountain ambiance, impeccably prepared dishes. Not a cheap place but you shouldn't go here expecting a bargain. 5 courses, plenty of choices on 3 of those. Would definitely go again!
