Beano’s never disappoints. Total experience is incredible. Not a “value” restaurant but the experience is worth every penny. Very special evening. Service starts at check in at CBar and doesn’t stop until you exit the sleigh after a delicious dinner. Ride up the mountain is fantastic and the restaurant is gorgeous. Recommend the slippers to complete the evening. Pure luxury.
Beano's Cabin has something for everyone and some very pleasant surprise dishes! Service is kind and capable with a couple of fun personalities on the sleigh ride and the service staff. Wine list is a nice surprise for a cabin in the woods. We booked early with 2 younger children at first sleigh, and are glad we did. Sure, you'll open your wallet, but only to create a fun memory!
Our food and service were outstanding! I haven’t ever had Venison prepared so well! And it was a gorgeous presentation. The kids were pleased with the menu options offered. Matt, our server was great at describing some of the signature dishes and was very helpful with wine selections. The fois gras was perfect! The kids loved selecting music and tipping the guitarist! ;)
My 6 year old son picked this restaurant, literally! We were eating at BC chophouse (average food) and he saw the snow cat pulling the sleigh and asked to eat there please! I said sure, thinking it was going to be an underwhelming and overpriced dining experience. It wasn’t cheap, but it was incredible food. The waiter Art from Wisconsin made our night in conjunction with the Snowcat driver (Z man? -retired military 1st year cat driver) and the attendant in the “sleigh.” The food was equivalent to a 4/5 star metropolitan restaurant like Chicago or NYC. There is nothing else that compares to this experience. We’ve done everything from private dining at NorthStar, deer valley Swiss night, yurt dining in telluride, alpine vino in telluride. Beno’s exceeded all that. Especially the waiter to guest ratio. I can’t express how gracious of a host Art was and his sous waiter.
Even if you don't like Venison- order the Venison! SO SUPERB! I ordered the steak which was delicious but we all tasted the venison and agreed it was the best. Waitress remembered ALL 6 of our names which was a nice touch. Every course was delectable. The kale salad- memorable! the sticky toffee pudding out of this world. Oysters and poke- a REAL treat-
I must say rather nice portions. we were stuffed. Sleigh ride- really fun and unique. a MUST DO!
Don't dress too warmly- the temp outside was 20 and I never put on my gloves or the blanket during the sleigh ride. I ROASTED inside with my turtleneck on. They really crank up the heat which was the only unpleasant part.
We were celebrating our anniversary. The service was excellent from the greeter at the Cbar all the way up the mountain thru the entire meal. Food was fantastic as was the presentation. Our server was very knowledgeable of the menu and recommended what/how things should be ordered and prepared. Our server also brought us a few items to try over and above what we ordered. We were treated very special. This was an awesome experience for us!!!
What a disappointment. We have thought about going to Beano's for years, and finally decided to splurge and go this year during our ski vacation. The sleigh ride up to the cabin wa fun, but things went downhill from there pretty quickly. We were seated at a small table in the corner, while almost every other couple got a table for 4 in the middle of the dining room. The menu is $135 per person fixed price 5 course affair where you have some choices on 4 of the courses. First course was soup, with no options. It was a carrot curry that was so spicy it was hard to eat, and I like spicy! Both salad offerings were nothing special, we had one of each. The best course were the appetizers, oysters and ravioli. My wife's salmon was done so rare that she couldn't eat it, although the server indicated that it would be served medium. We both had cranberry cheesecake for desert, and it was obvious that it had been frozen as it was not yet fully defrosted. Our servers went out of their way to try and remedy each issue, and reduced our bill for my wife's entree. Overall the experience was just not worth the expense. It makes me so uncomfortable to be complaining so much about issues during dinner, but when I am constantly asked how things are going, I don't want to lie and just accept the issues either.
We eat at Beano’s on every visit to Beaver Creek. While we always enjoy this experience as a family.l, it has become a very pricey experience. $900+ for 4 adults + 2 Kids. The food was good but definitely not $135 good. Had a pork porterhouse under cooked and bloody. Our final impression as a family is this was problematic our final Beano’s Cabin experience. Not because we cannot afford it, it’s because we don’t feel we are truly an Amazing experience in return for the cost.
Tuna tartar was off color and I refused to taste it. All three steaks were over cooked by one level. The pork chop was misrepresented in its description and over cooked. Apple pie reminded me of a Sarah Lee cake and was not warm. However, I might add that the ravioli appetizer was over the top excellent. We expected a costly meal but the product was disappointing. I will not return.
Beano's Cabin was wonderful. I couldn't ask for a more memorable way to spend date night. Everything was great, from the sleigh ride and the Cabin's atmosphere to the food/drink and exceptional service. Extra shout out to servers Brad and Heidi for really pushing the experience over the top. Beano's is the best!
The sleigh ride that took us to the cabin was amazing as it allowed us spectacular views of the snow covered mountain, lots of picture opportunities. The service was amazing and the 5 course dinner was top notch, allowed us magnificent choices on their pre selected dinner fare, compliments to the Chef and his staff. The cabin’s interior was rustic and beautiful. Our experience at Beano’s was one of the highlights of our Colorado vacation.
This was an event with the snow cat ride up the hill. Once you arrived it was exactly like being at Disney World on the mountain. Very average food. We had it all, nothing worth mentioning. Great wine selection but over priced. Service charge is put on the bill and the staff reflected they didn’t need to do their work. Besides a great location and something different. Skip this one if you want fine dinning.
Beano's Cabin is amazing!!!!! It's not just dinner, it's an experience!!! The sleigh ride up is so fun. When you walk in- you are offered SLIPPERS! The service is 5 star and the food is a million stars!!! Each course is so amazing!! Two of the people I was with said the venison was the best meat they've ever eaten. My brother is vegan and they easily accommodated an amazing 5 course meal for him. The sommelier was so helpful in choosing a lovely bottle that fit our budget. The ambience is amazing and the live music was wonderful. Worth every penny.
VERY DISAPPOINTED FOR NEW YEARS. NOT THE HIGH QUALITY OF PRIOR YEARS.
My wife and I have a home in Beaver Creek and have frequented Beano's several times in the past and numerous New Years dinner and celebrations .
In the past New Years celebrations, there was an outstanding band, a dance floor, party hats and noise makers, and a special high quality New Year's menu. Some of our dear friends along with my wife and I had the best New Years celebrations ever at Beano's. We still talk about it--that is how special it was.
This year was totally, different with one person providing music and singing. No dance floor as Vail Resorts had tables for dining as they need to extract every nickel from their guests. The staff was encouraging the guests to get down the mountain before New Years. There were probably 10 people left at New Years.
It was even more disappointing to our friends who traveled from Brazil and the husband wanted to impress his new wife.
To say that we were highly disappointed is an understatement. Beano's was a special place to dine and this is no longer the case with Vail Resorts. The guests that are going to Beano's are expecting an exceptional experience and are willing to pay for it. However, the high quality of the past of Beano's is gone.
Somm didn’t seem terribly knowledgeable but the wines were fantastic. Great pairing choices, however we had to remind our waiter to bring the pairing for our entree. Food was just as good as everything else in beaver creek - not above and beyond. Sleigh ride was fun and ambiance is unmatched.
