Beachside Restaurant and Bar Ratings and Reviews
We made a last minute reservation for lunch on a beautiful sunny Friday. Lovely to sit overlooking the water. Good menu, with plenty of choice and variety. Between the four of us we had a steak salad (generous portion and nicely cooked steak, with lots of salad), a crab, arugula and pine nut salad (delicious and light), pea soup (not quite as expected, looked more like minestrone soup), sushi and calamari (which was a little chewy). We then shared a delicious desert of blueberries, with a crumble topping and vanilla ice cream. Our server was attentive and friendly. We were served promptly, but not rushed. Would recommend and would return.
We’ve been before and enjoyed our meals.not so much yesterday
The turkey burger was very dry and the flank steak & eggs weren’t prepared as described
It was not flank steak, wasnt cooked well as ordered & the eggs were slightly burnt
The wait for the food was over 30 minutes and it wasn’t crowded. People who sat Dyer ya got their food long before us
It’s a pretty view of Mother’s Beach
We love this restaurant and the new renovations they have done. Our sever was kind of unresponsive; had to ask
Him a lot of times for things. But the assistant Chad, was fantastic. Very helpful, professional and fantastic service so he made up for the unresponsive waiter (maybe he just had a lot of tables?). Fish tacos and cheeseburger delicious! And the ambiance, waterfront is beautiful. Best in the Marina! We will definitely go again.
This restaurant is located at Jamaica Bay Inn and has just been renovated. The service was not up to what we've previously experienced. One party has a gluten allergy and even after telling the server, they brought the order which contained wheat. Glad we spotted it! Server never came back to check nor apologized for the error. Prices are much higher than previous Happy Hour. They need to pay for the renovation somehow...
My friend and I go to the Beachside often for our regular Saturday breakfast. Normally, everything is very good, however this time the service was horrible. We were half way through our breakfast before we got our coffee and had to ask a couple times for a refill. Hopefully, yesterday was a fluke.
My wife and I dined at Beachside during a recent stay in Marina del Rey. We were very happy we dined here. Both our entrees, fettuccini with shrimp and lemon chicken were delicious and our server, Rebekah, was helpful with suggestions and attentive throughout the evening. Also, save room for dessert. The chocolate cake is fantastic if you're a chocoholic like us. We'll return when we're in the area.
We had not been here for some time due to experiences with slow service. We were here 2 weeks ago and again this Friday and we had an absolutely wonderful dining experience. Service was completely attentive but not overly so. Becka, our server, was helpful and very good. The food was extremely excellent, particularly the Salmon. You can't beat the outside ambiance. We will be back.
The location was great with a nice view. The food was good. The service was just okay. We waited about 10 minutes just for the host/hostess to show up and seat us. Our waiter was friendly, but never checked back with us after we received our food, and I had to flag him down to bring me the check. Perhaps they didn't have enough staff during our visit. Not sure if that is the norm, but the lack of attention from beginning to end certainly did make the experience less enjoyable.
It was the perfect location to cool off after a very hot day -- outdoor dining by a small beach. We got there at the end of happy hour and our server was great about making sure to get our drinks order in before the deadline and made sure we realized that there was some over lap between the happy hour and regular menu. While this is not a "foodie" location, the food was well prepared and tasted great.
We went for a business working brunch and requested an end table away from the rest. We were not only accommodated, but the service was very respectful to our meeting. The food was great, terrific view and away from the beach enough not to have a ton of noise. Will go back!
Sat in the patio - dining room under renovation (didn't know that until we got there).
Patio is nice with the heaters. Still, bring something to cover your shoulders as it got cool later.
Service was very good - attentive enough without hovering. Food was yummy, and plenty of it.
Patio has some fire pits (being used by a private party) that would be nice.
Will go back to see what they do inside.
This was a great spot for business dinner. The doors to the restaurant were closed and we had to sit outside. I assume renovating maybe. If outdoors is not your thing you may want to call first.
The waiter was new, but he was very pleasant and accommodating. Heat lamps were brought over when the temperature started to go down and at no time did I feel crowded, nor did I have trouble hearing my companions due to noise as it got busier. It's a nice deck area overlooking the water, chairs are comfy and service was great.
The menu was not extensive but our salads were good.
The hotel parking lot has restaurant spaces but there is a charge if you stay there longer than two hours and you do need to have the restaurant validate a ticket that is given to you at the entrance.
