Took my wife here for her birthday. She loved it!
Great. The hostess was very accommodating and nice. Even though i originally had 2 guests she said it was no problem to add more. Great attitude and server was attentive.
Great service. Good food cooked perfectly.
Awesome service and food. Definitely a perfect Hawaiian evening!!
This is a lovely setting in the best looking hotel in Waikiki Beach; looks out on the beach, the ocean and the sunset from a beautifully landscaped garden setting. The service and the restaurant manager could not have been more helpful. It is expensive, but worth it for special occasions. Be sure to ask for outside seating, although the dining room is beautiful too.
The ambience was really good!! A bit pricey but their pineapple upside down cake is to die for!! The service was really lovely and it has got some really great views!! I will recommend this for romantic couple’s evening!!
Best meal we had in Hawaii. We shared a salad and the steak and turf dinner. The dinner consisted of steak, lobster, shrimp, crab cake and dessert and was superb. The filet was the most tender steak I’ve ever had.
Abalone appetizer- abalone tough, garlic butter Parmesan sauce & bread yummy, but I would not order again. Lobster bisque outstanding. Perfect New York steak, side dishes extra. Good açaí sorbet.
Lovely venue on veranda of Moana Surfrider hotel facing beach bar & ocean. Duo playing electric guitar with hula dancer fine, not obtrusive.
Good food, great ambiance, quite expensive. If you’re on a budget, not the place to go. But other than that, worth going there to celebrate a special occasion.
The food combined with the service, view, and ambiance made eating there for our 1 year anniversary worth while. I can definitely see myself eating there again and would highly recommended anyone visiting Waikiki to treat themselves to a wonderful experience!!!
Impeccable service and atmosphere. Went for friends bday. The staff went out of the way to assure that everything was perfect. Brought out a lei and balloon for bday girl and took so many group photos. Setting on the veranda at sunset was epic. Live band.
Where should kamaaina (local residents) go for a TGIF wind down from a crazy week?
Having cocktails & dinner at the Beachhouse was perfect for decompressing in paradise. We sat on the lanai of the historic Moana hotel, watched a beautiful spring sunset, with live Hawaiian music and hula dancer performing under the 135 year old banyan. Our attentive server, Serena paced the service like a pro, giving us plenty of time to enjoy each course, wine and cocktails. The asparagus tempura was delicious, but I would prefer that it were served with dashi broth instead of Parmesan mayo. Sashimi and spicy ahi on crispy nori was very fresh. French onion soup was outstanding, especially that it was loaded with yummy, chewy gruyere cheese and broth was well flavored. Husband had fisherman's stew (cioppino) & ate his bowl clean. I had kampachi, locally farm raised fish with a subtle oiliness which was prepared Chinese style, surrounded with generous amount of choi sum, fresh mushroom medley, lovely, fresh cilantro and sweetened soy sauce. Lobster fried rice accompanied the kampachi & served on the side. We took the lobster fried rice home for lunch because we were so full...lunch was super delicious.
Everything about the Beachhouse was excellent. But what stood out from the rest was not just the great food and beach setting but the whole ambience of the Beachhouse. It was the feeling you got, the minute you walked in and sat near the old Banyan tree and beautiful gardens and the subtle colour changes over the night on the Banyan tree. The other and most important difference to me was the excellent staff on the Beachhouse. You could not see them but they were there when you need them, every eager to please. I would gladly give more then the 5 star highest rating if it were possible. We ate there a few times for breakfast and dinner and enjoyed ever minute of it. I highly recommend this restaurant wether you stay at the Moana Surfrider Waikiki Beach or just go to this restaurant. It is a great experience.
Wonderful place to enjoy a beautiful evening with friends. Amazing staff. Our server was outstanding and extremely conscientious of our needs. We will return.
Beautiful setting with a famous Banyan tree background and Hawaiian and contemporary music from a live band
Great ambience, service and food!
Our server took care about gluten allergy and he gave us a great service. Moreover, they made my parents anniversary special with pretty cake!
This was our favorite restaurant while we stayed at Waikiki beach. Every thing was outstanding at this restaurant. My wife is on a low salt diet and they had no problem accommodating this request. It was such a great dining experience, we decided to eat lunch their the next day. Our daughter had the kid’s menu the next day, the steak they had was outstanding that was on the kid’s menu. We thought for this level of restaurant the price was reasonable. We highly recommend this restaurant.
The staff was very friendly and efficient! The ambiance of this gorgeous restaurant was perfect! Our meals were delicious!
We had an amazing meal and the service was impeccable. The view of the sunset was just breathtaking.
Great food. Waiter, Omar, was pleasant, engaging and very knowledgeable. We both had Ahi and found it delicious. The beachside setting is busy with a little extra noise from the bar next to the restaurant - but that is to be expected in busy Waikiki.
The only problem was throughout dinner, the hotel had a construction project going - someone was using a loud tile saw that kind of wrecked an otherwise perfect evening. One would think that that would not be happening after 6 on a Sunday evening. That was very disappointing.
Delicious food, great service, wonderful sunset views.
Awesome! Great food and service in a beautiful spot!
One of the best dining experiences ever. Sit outside near bar and ocean. Live music, beautiful setting, view of beach, great food.
Everything from the service to the food was awesome! Thank you William for your exceptional service!
It was so great ! Our waiter did fabulous also ! Made our 1st night a great one !
the whole experience was wonderful. our server was knowledgable about gluten free options and made everything wanted possible. he was personable and made my birthday special. The scallops are spectacular and everything we ordered was great. I will be going again and requesting"my server".
A very classy experience for the normal young adult. Great place for a special occasion or a high class date night. Smart casual attire is recommended.
Great service and wonderful sunset
Food was so so, but overpriced considering the quality, taste, & service. Ambience was excellent, but poor quality service ruinned it all. Waiter asked 20%tips for such inferior service. Better go to Wolfgang or Strip steak nearby for the same price. p.s.they served deserts while im still eating the main...they might have wanted to let us go early, due to overbooking...
Wonderful service and beautiful ambiance! Would recommend if you're looking for a nicer dinner and a Waikiki feel .
For the atmosphere and view alone....food is overpriced
ANOTHER WONDERFUL EVENING AT THE BEACHHOUSE. FOOD, AMBIENCE AND SERVICE WERE ALL TERRIFIC.
Call ahead and get one of the 2 beach side tables and get there 1 hour before sunset (check on the internet)
Only drawback is that the view is amazing, other tables come over to your table wanting a photo of the sunset.
Food what’s good steak need a little bit more flavor . But overall it was good. The service/staff there is amazing .
The food was underwhelming. I eat all over the world. Had Lobster bisque it had NO flavor. Followed by a Caesar salad with Chicken. The chicken was dry, tasteless and looked like frozen strips microwaved till death.
Very disappointed. How can a First class restaurant screw up 2 simple items. My evening was saved by a nice glass of Rose and the view beautiful.
This was my third time eating dinner at the Beachouse in as many trips. It is a special dining experience that I recommend with two pieces of advice: understand this is a high end restaurant so prices are higher here than most reasturants in Honolulu; ask the waiter about the freshest items, and recommendations. I did not listen to my waiter this time and was a bit disappointed with my main course. It wasn’t terrible by any means but it wasn’t special either as I’ve had in the past and that was my fault. Steak and lobster tail I can get anywhere and frankly I make a better fillet and tail at home. But, if you get a local fish for example and book to sit before susnset on the porch...it can’t be beat!
Ambiance, food, and location were great. Highly recommend enjoying a porch seat if available.
Excellent ambience, service and food! Our best meal we had our whole trip!
