BeachHouse bar + grill Ratings and Reviews
The fish taco was the best I have ever had. I will definitely go back for another. My husband's fish and chips was nothing special. The biggest challenge was that the restaurant was freezing. Every diner was wearing their coat and an open door would let in an arctic freeze. We sat in the bar before dinner and it was cold and so was the restaurant during the meal. In addition when we were in the bar for happy hour and my husband ordered a cab...the server brought one that was not covered under happy hour...when ordering his second glass he asked about happy hour and was told that it was a "different" cab...I think he should have been asked if he wanted the happy hour wine.
On the positive side the brunch menu has interesting choices along side the traditional brunch entrees. However of the 4 orders two arrived cold as if they had been sitting for quite some time. We sent one back to be reheated but when they brought back the dish it was a totally different entree. When the correct dish arrived it had been over cooked. The noise level was loud due to a large table of teens laughing and squealing. All in all not the best experience
During the holiday season we were grateful the restaurant was open, able to accommodate our group of four at a table with a view, and serving a brunch menu at reasonable prices. It was an anniversary of sorts because two of us had met for the first time at the same location 7 years ago. We both remembered watching paddleboarders on the lake on that summer day.
Service was slow and poor (never cleared any dishes from appetizer on, didn't ask if we wanted dessert, brought an appetizer without the adjusted request so I re-ordered the appetizer and I was charged for BOTH appetizers after they made the mistake!)...french fries are store bought frozen, mediocre food, nice view, crowded and old. bathroom tiny, could barely move around. won't be returning.
Some of the best salads around but dinner choices are a disappointment. The Paella seemed to suffer from the ingredients being thrown together too early, depriving them of any individual texture or taste and resulting in a mushy concoction that was uninspired.
We had a great experience at BeachHouse Grill on Friday night! Always a great view and excellent food, but sometimes the service can be uneven. Not this time. Our waiter Ryan was the BEST server we've have in several visits! He was busy but attentive. He kept checking back. We will ask to be at one of his tables next time.
Friendly and efficient staff. Seated right at the window with picturesque view of the Cascades. We got to watch beavers swim by as we dined. People walking out onto the dock and taking photos of the sunset. Flawless transitions between seating ordering and dining. Excellent variety of dishes and wine list.
This place has gone down hill in the last couple of years. We’ve easily been here 6 times in the last 18mo and the food is usually cold, waiters take forever to greet you and take 15-20min to bring drinks and then never come back to check on you when they finally drop the food and never give drink refills. It’s been like this several times for brunch or lunch, different times of day and different times of year. I no longer think it’s a fluke.
Our neighbors told us about the BeachHouse Bar and Grill and we are so glad they did! Comfortable surroundings, restful view, excellent hostesses and servers plus delicious food attractively prepared. We also observed the helpful and friendly team work between staff.
We will be back ! Thanks to everyone for providing us with a delightful dinner time! : ) Well done!
Each visit with different service issue. Like new server, Pour like warm coffee, need to keep asking for basic offer like Silver wear to eat, etc. Today, Service was barely there. Server did not pay attention and did not listen to request. It's like her mind is else where. I don't know how long will I tolerate this kind of service. Kirkland only have so many options for breakfast and lunch ... arrrr...
This restaurant is not ADA friendly. My husband has mobility issues and walks with a cane. The restrooms on the 2nd floor with a spiral staircase. I was not comfortable with him going up the staircase.
Otherwise, the atmosphere and view is good. It's a good place for casual meals and drinks with friends. My husband had the short rib rice bowl, he thought the sriracha aioli was over the top (it wasn't needed). I had the fish special, it was okay. I would have liked it better if it wasn't sweet. We did like the shrimp cocktail and drinks.
Honestly, we were really looking forward to trying this restaurant. Lovely location in Kirkland with delightful views. We ordered a bottle of wine for the table and also ordered individual drinks. The bottle of Cab showed up first with with "small" wine glasses. Nice bottle of wine and no Cab glasses!! Run of the mill glasses - just the way it is. Took way too long to get our drinks. Our waiter was very nice, but obviously had not been exposed to any type of fine dining. The salads were tasty, but the entrees were very marginal. We had 5 different entrees and all were totally unimpressive. Will we try it again - probably not.
We arrived 30 minutes earlier than our reservation, since we needed to add a 5th to our party. They were able to accommodate us directly, kudos to the hostess. However, this particular visit was underwhelming. It was a busy Saturday evening, so somewhat delayed service was expected. Our two hangups were.
1. When dinner was served they forgot a dish, which left us waiting 5 minutes to start eating until we were able to get the servers attention.
2. The paella, which three of us had, was under-seasoned and bland. I've had this dish here before and generally it's a great dish. This time however it was disappointing.
Overall it was an okay experience, but we've had better meals here.
