Very disappointed. The service was terrible. We made a reservation online, and we were greeted immediately and seated right on time. From there, the service went downhill fast. Our server took 15 minutes just to come by and take our drink order. We waited at least 25 minutes for delivery of our drinks. At no time, did the server come back and check on us. I had to get up twice and find our server to tell him we were ready for our dinner order and to check on the status of our first drinks.
Once we received our food, we were never asked if we wanted a second drink, never asked if we needed anything. Instead we received our check and it was assumed we were finished.
The food was far from great. The only thing going for Beach is the location. We ended up dining at Whiskey Joe’s next door.
Horrible the whole overall experience, will not return or refer.
Manager was looking into a transaction to fix the situation for me, then went home for the day. I had to call back the next day and start all over ☹️
Have a half-turn une reservation for Valentine's Day for 3:30 and that's the only time they had open for reservation and he started taking down the food at about 20 after 4 does not give you enough time did not get seated in till 4 and there was plenty of open tables
Food and service were great, but as other reviewers have mentioned, don't make a Sunday reservation before 11:00 if you want to have brunch, even on a holiday. On the plus side, our 10:30 breakfast was excellent and cost less than half what brunch would have.
Easter Brunch Buffet was not as advertised. Food options were limited and slow to be replenished. Advertised a child's price for buffet, but options were not kid-friendly. Service was good, but they were clearly not prepared to host a buffet. Food quality was okay, not great. Would not recommend.
Great place for a date night. Fantastic view of Tampa Bay. I recommend the Island Coconut drink.
Super cool place
Stayed at the hotel next door and ate here for dinner and breakfast. The scallops were absolutely delicious. Breakfast menu was limited but decent. Beautiful view of the bay - there is a pier you can walk down for sunset photos. Would recommend.
excellent service.... good and fresh food ... I will back soon
It was awful. Construction taking place immediately next to the patio dining area. Waited 25 minutes and no server even came over to say hello, even though there was a menu and silverware on the table. Finally got up and left.
This restaurant has a lovely view of the water, which is why we selected it, but unfortunately, there were 4 or 5 jet skis going back and forth constantly. The noise was horrible. There is a pier that you can usually walk down to watch the sunset, but there was a private party on the pier, so we could not use it. The service was terrible. We had to flag down a waiter to order a couple of beers and some soft drinks. After waiting 15-20 minutes, I went inside the restaurant to alert the hostess that we were waiting a long time for our drinks. It was another 5-10 minutes before the drinks were delivered. The rest of the service was equally as bad. The food was ok, nothing special. I might go there on another night for a drink and to listen to the band, but I will sit at the bar so as to have proper service.
We made a reservation for 4 outdoor seating at 11am for their Sunday brunch that advertises $29.95 price and $10 bottomless mimosas. When we arrived at 1050am the man who greeted us said I didn't need a reservation and that we only had 10 minutes left for breakfast and if we wanted to sit outside we wouldn't have a server. I was baffled as to why they would advertise a brunch and allow an outdoor seating reservation if that wasn't the case so I went back inside to ask someone else. She told me that the brunch buffet was just beginning at 11am and their continental breakfast was the one ending and she would send a server outside for us. The 1st guy was rude and had the complete wrong info. From there on out the service and food was excellent. The view outside was great and the live reggae band was cool too. The brunch had a nice spread and the mimosas really were bottomless!
My family and I had a horrible time. 1 1/2 hr wait for 2 salads and tacos! Very unapologetic staff. I will NEVER go back and have told everyone I come across at the hotel to avoid at all costs. The manager does not appreciate hos customers or their time while on vacation. The food was out of a bag or greacy...dripping nasty! Spead your money and time elsewhere! By the way, having a reservation is un-noticed!!
We stayed at the Godfrey hotel which is attached to the Beach. We were able to reserve a table on-line which was very convenient. The food was great, both dinner and breakfast. $3.oo Monday Margaritas was a bonus :) Absolutely breathtaking view of the sunset!
Food was marginal and service was very poor. The cushions and tables were stained and not very clean. Broken glass was found on the deck. The women’s room was out of toilet paper and had to be told no less than 4 times about it. It is quite a shame because they could clearly have a real gem in this place based on the water view and location, but they definitely will need to clean up their act and improve their service tremendously. We will most likely not return. Disappointed to say the least.
Service was excellent. Food was good, drinks were okay. They need to upgrade the outside tables; wobbly, deteriorating. Overall good experience, will be back!
We greeted by our host and sat very quickly. However after 20 minutes of waiting no one came and took our drink order. At least 5 other tables were sat after us, had waiters and ordered taken. We were never greeted by our waiter and grew tired of waiting so we left.
Great outdoor easy dining
Outside area very dirty. They appear to be renovating. Hopefully this improves. We also went with the representation of their on-line menu, only to be told they hadn’t “rolled it out” yet. What we did have was average.
Just don’t bother. A bar with a fantastic view of the sunset. As far as anything other than a noisy bar crowd- forget this place. We came and left quickly.
We were there for the Christmas buffet. I expected servers to be serving the food. Instead it was all laid out on a table and we had to serve ourselves. The Sterno heaters had gone out so the food was cold, the meat was dried out and tasteless, the stuffing was a thick sticky glob that you couldn't get off the serving spoon, the salad was a bunch of spinach in a bowl with some dried cranberries thrown in and many of the serving containers were close to empty. The room was cold and the whole room had cheap looking tables and chairs. There were no Christmas decorations and the drinks were served in plastic glasses. I could go on but I will just say that I would NEVER recommended this place to anybody. It really spoiled our Christmas outing.
Food sucked but service was good. Turkey overcooked and dry, stuffing was liks sawdust, no cranberry sauce. Green beens nasty pies were not cut, very limited fair for a thanksgiving dinner. Ham and rolls good, pumkin pie good.
It was ok. The service wasn't that great. Our waiter kept forgetting about us. Even had to ask another waiter to give us the check. Food was ok. Ambiance was better. The view of the ocean was great
Our group of four had a great time even though the circumstances were unusual. When we arrived, very few people at the restaurant. I said we had reservations. The hostess asked if we were told the kitchen was having a new air conditioner installed and the menu was limited. Very limited. To our surprise we all ordered burgers and even though they weren’t freshly made, the food was really good. The service was even better. Christine was the best. We plan on going back and definitely requesting Christine. The location on the water is amazing. Highly recommend.
Service was not good at all. The waiter kept forgetting drinks, or to come and check on us at all. He was apologetic, but we literally had time to finish our entire meal with empty glasses before he came back to see if we needed anything.
Tasty food, reasonable priced drinks and a beautiful view of the sunset
Dark parking lot. Dark entrance. We almost left think it was closed down. Once we found it, it was nearly empty. Waited 5 minutes for a hostess to come to greet and seat us. I started wondering around trying to find an employee. Could not understand hostess with broken English. Food was ok but appetizer and dinner were all brought our together. It’s bad enough that wait staff doesn’t clear appetizer soups salad etc and expects you to move it out of the way but brining it together means something will not be hot or cold as intended. While there we decided we would never go back. It certainly wasn’t worth the $140 for 3 people. Every other table around us were complaining. It’s too bad. It’s a great location just seems new owners don’t know how to run a restaurant and dont care if people come.
Great food and location. Staff is wonderful
great food, great service. Samantha was awesome and provided excellent service. great waterview dining
Disappointed. Thought the brunch was going to be nicer included with the mimosas for the $29. Little bummed and opted for pancakes and eggs.
Service is very bad. I have been to Beach already 3 times hoping i was simply unlucky with waiters. Very scenic view but service is rush, forget about requests, waiters disappear for such a long time. Because it happened to me every time I go to Beach it seems it is more a management issue (understaff) which leaves waiters struggling
Friendly atmosphere to meet new people. Heart service. Food was okay. I would go again for the view, live music, and drinks.
Awesome sunset view, not too crowded, and great hambughers:)
The waiter was down-to-earth and "chill." By no means was he a professional. He was more like that older uncle who tries to be your best friend. He never came back for refills and took 20 minutes for us to get our check after we were done eating.
The food was bad. Clam chowder was runny with massive potatoe chunks and hardly any clams. Coconut shrimp was cold. It was definitely sitting for awhile. It also had a weird salsa on top.
I won't come back.
Zach provided excellent service and the food was cooked to perfection. Beautiful views.
Thy force you to pay ($5) to valet park and the valet is further waking distance than most parking.
The only brunch options are a $35 buffet which is also the only way to order bottomless mimosas (additional $20)
This place is a total rip off.
Can't wait to go back. Planning to dine for Sunday Brunch more frequently. Love the place and the servers. View is amazing.
Great ambience and good service! The place is perfect for a relaxing dinner or drinks by the beach. I wish they had more pasta/sea food options in the menu but over all I had a great meal!
Went for Mother's Day brunch. All mothers were given a Mimosa and rose. You can pay extra for unlimited Mimosas. Large assortment of food types including breakfast options, carving station, and raw bar. Everything was very tasty. We sat outside right near the water so the view was great. Service was attentive. I will go again.
