Beach Walk Henderson Park Inn Ratings and Reviews
Have been coming to Henderson Park Inn for a number of years and it is always special. The inn is always perfectly decorated for the season. The food Is excellent and the portions are ample. Service is top notch, friendly and you are never rushed. Used a Groupon this time which made the whole evening one to remember.
Incredible. Simply lovely and a quiet setting for my husband and I to enjoy an evening. Our server suggested several items which we enjoyed, however the Grouper Vince really stole the show. Between the two of us, we ordered a lovely bottle of Pinot Noir, shared the Kung poa shrimp appetizer, each ordering a spinach salad and a caprese salad. Meals included the lamb chops and the grouper. I am not a huge fan of fish dishes, but this tied with one of the best dinners I have ever had. Ending with creme brûlée and keg lime pie, neither of us were dismayed in any way. A very intimate setting with a wonderful server who knew the menu and the items well. Fantastic recommendations and a wonderful evening which ended in a single rose handed to me by the staff. You have won over this worldly travelled and her fussy husband. We will return, gladly.
The food was amazing. Detail and thought was put into every dish. They were very accommodating to gluten free and vegetarian needs. Mitchell our server provided excellent service. This is some place I would come to every time I am in Destin. It is right on the water and has a wonderful atmosphere.
The Beach Walk at Henderson Park Inn was absolutely fantastic! The food was great - we both had the filet mignon. It was so tender and tasty. The setting is so beautiful and dining room comfortable. Our server, Dustin S, really took care of us. It was our wedding anniversary and Dustin even arranged to have a rose brought to my wife. He didn't miss a beat. He was there to pour our wine at the perfect time. It was our first visit. We cannot wait to come again!
We are also looking forward to spending some time at the Inn itself. It is beautiful!
We dined at Beach Walk for a late anniversary celebration. We arrived early and there was not a problem seating us early. The server greeted us promptly and was very pleasant during the entire meal. The food was excellently prepared. We order desserts and one was complimentary for our anniversary.
We arrived early and had a drink on the deck overlooking the water. Beautiful setting. Every dish, from appetizer to salad to entrée to dessert, was terrific. While our server was knowledgeable and efficient, she was a bit to-the-point. It did not deter us from enjoying our meal. We will be back the next time we're in the area.
5 stars from the minute I sat down. Best butternut squash bisque, fresh bread, spinach salad , grilled mahi mahi and French pressed coffee with the freshest key lime pie❤❤ service excellent. Perfect martini and excellent wine choice. All around best meal all week. No wonder ranked #1 in Destin.
Our favorite restaurant for special occasions. The food and service and staff are excellent and the views of sunsets over the Gulf of Mexico make this establishment even more special. We can't say enough about the consistently wonderful , beautifully presented plates of the most delicious food anywhere! We will be back again soon!
I understand why "Beach Walk" is the #1 restaurant in Destin. If you are looking for a small
restaurant with first class food and view this is where you should eat. We were staying at the
Henderson Inn and the food was so outstanding that we ate there 3 nights. The duck was the best that we had ever had and the spinach salad was just on point. It was so nice and quiet
and that made dining unique for Destin. Outdoor seating is also available.
This was the absolute best dining experience I've ever had with my family! The staff members were so courteous and genuinely welcoming. I ordered lobster for dinner, & it was prepared to perfection! I did, however, have a "not so good" bed of rice with my meal. The rice consisted of a combination of over, and under cooked texture. It was a small disappointment for such an amazing evening, and honestly the ONLY NEGATIVE experience that my Mother, sisters and I had. Henderson Park Inn is definitely worthy of another three hour drive for dinner, & we anticipate our next dining experience there!
Was so excited to eat here! However, the food was a disappointment compared to the reviews we read. The sauces were flavorful but too heavy for the seafood. The grouper was old and tasted fishy. We asked for our desserts to go and found out when we got back to our place that the Key Lime Pie was replaced with the cheesecake. We were so bummed! The service was good and our server enthusiastic. But that didn't make up for the average meal and the mistake with the dessert. Will not return.
Location and staff were great. We had an excellent waitress. She even surprised me with a dark rum cocktail...the Roosevelt!
As others have reviewed the venison was excellent. My pork chop was carefully prepared and arrived juicy! Unfortunately the soup bisque was served Luke warm, the carrot/courgette accompaniment to the beef was over salted, and the potato purée was also Luke warm. My purée contained a piece of crinkled plastic, which was described to me as the inside of a piping bag. Of course it was returned to the kitchen. The maitre d' hotel dealt with the issue with great professionalism. We were offered a replacement entree ( I declined) , and instead received a dessert on the house, along with adjustment to the bill including a $30 promo deduction. He stated that the restaurant held itself to a high standard.
The banana cream dessert, though impressive to behold, had a very poor pastry crust, and the cream was over sweet with not enough bananas. I did enjoy the nutmeg grated on top. The creme brûlée was average/good.
I believe every restaurant deserves a second chance....we all have off days. I will certainly visit again and recommend you try it out. The sunset view over the gulf is worth the gas! I would just encourage the staff to be attentive to the rising of the blinds when safe to do so...after all the sunset is one of the major attractions.
Excellent food, if what you want is not on the menu, the chef will try and create it for you. But the menu choices were superb .... Wine list excellent and service phenomanal. The view of the gulf and the sunset was spectacular. Couldn't have asked for a more perfect evening for my wife and I. 😎
We arrived an hour earlier than our reservation on accident. The host was so sweet. I think we waited about 10 minutes, long enough for a waitress to get us two drinks, and he seated us. By the window as I had originally asked. The food was wonderful. They had little arancinis with goat cheese and lemon. Very good. My husband had the fish special and I had the ribeye. Neither of us finished our meals since they were large portions but they were so good. They also gave us a very large slice of chocolate cake for my husbands birthday to go, since we were so full. Our waitress was very sweet and efficient.
Delicious seafood dinner with a window seat and a great view of the beach. Our waiter brought us artisan bread with a Parmesan herb and olive oil for dipping. We finished the meal with a slice of banana cream pie which was large enough to share. The waiter gave me a rose before I left the restaurant. What a nice touch to end our dining experience.
This is a great restaurant connected to The Henderson Park Inn B&B. Stayed at the B&B and ate at the restaurant on three occasions and every dinner was excellent. The menu is varied and one could eat here several times in a row and not get tired of eating there!
Seriously what's not to like. Amazing service (bar none). Attentive to every detail. Great food with quality ingredients . Romantic ambience. I'd recommend the inn and the restaurant without hesitation. Well done Henderson inn. You stand out from the pack .
This restaurant is unique in Destin as it is not a seafood or beach shack. Classy ambiance and lovely setting. However, although the food was good, it was neither outstanding nor particularly imaginative. The service was OK but could have been a little more attentive. I must qualify this review to state that we often dine at fine restaurants and therefore set the bar high. This is a good place to dine in Destin for a quiet meal with lovely surroundings, but do not expect it to compete with the finer restaurants found in Florida's larger cities. Given the local competition, I would return if I return to Destin.
We enjoyed a very special evening celebrating a birthday. The overall experience was excellent. The food was served with great eye appeal and very good. Our waitress [Adeline] was outstanding with a smile always on her face, and very attentive. We will return soon.
Always special at Beach Walk Henderson Park Inn. Most romantic spot in NWFL. Food is always fabulous, ambiance the best. Betty, our server, made us feel like King and Queen. You are never rushed at the Beachwalk. With our Groupon we couldn't have asked for a better value. The BWHPI continues to be the place.
We have love Beach Walk in the past and have spent many a fine dining experience here. But tonight was somewhat of a disappointment because the food seems a little less exciting. It was a little overseasoned and just not up to what we had considered their high standards. Maybe it was an off night. It was just kind of "eh". The service and ambiance is still amazing and the rose presented to each lady is a thoughtful touch, but it will probably be awhile before we come back. If you have never been, go, if you've been there before, maybe wait until they "refresh" their menu. . .
Beach Walk Henderson Inn is a very lovely gem unique to the Destin food scene in its ambiance and location in lovely Henderson Inn. The food was excellent. We went earlier than our usual dinner time to see the sunset - great view. The room is cozy and a great place for a quiet dinner. The service was excellent.
This was the most exquisite dining experience I have ever treasured with my family. We greatly enjoyed the ambiance. We felt as though we were the only guests in the dining room, so cozy! The chef created scrump-dili-umptous cuisine that lingered on my tongue for several days. The garlic also lingered but mints were provided after the gastronomical delight.
My endearing offspring wished for a frozen daiquiri and was absolutely crest fallen when she was denied this request due to there being no blender in the kitchen. We are starting a GoFundMe account for the Henderson Park Inn kitchen so that they will be able to purchase a blender after the holiday season.
The lingering aftershocks of delight are becoming more and more difficult to pen since it has been a fortnight since my dining experience at Henderson Park Inn, so I must excuse myself and venture back at the moment.
No real issues, but just did not excite me. It is a very small and relatively quiet restaurant which some may enjoy. I found it very intrusive since many of the fellow diners could hear each other's conversation. The food was fine, served quickly and hot, but we thought it was a little pricey. The ice cream type dessert was also very good. The location is perfect and if it were summer and light out, you could not ask for a better Gulf view. Overall, it was good and we have been there several times so we knew what we were going to get. It was just not my first choice, and it is a personal thing, nothing significantly wrong with the place.
