Nice ambeance,great waiter,but spicy Mahi, Mahi with 2 dried sticks of Mahi (?) and lots potato chips and chopped up califlower - poor!
They made us sit down then 15 mins later told us that they can't serve hot food because something happened in their kitchen.
Food was at best average. Fish was too tough, probably over cooked. Service was extremely slow and honestly not consistent, salads meant for another table were brought to us after our dessert, one meal arrived later than other 3, etc.

It was our 15th anniversary. They didn't care to make it special in any way. Gave us a crappy table when booths were available, had to ask. Food was mediocre. Not going back.

It was very very noisy
The temperature was very cold and the fan was blowing on us
The server was not very attentive In fact I ordered coffee and got the 1st cup but never had a second or 3rd cup because she never came around to refill
Unfortunately there was a power outage which we could understand that would make things more difficult however there was no compensation and the service still was not very good

Very slow! We had a reservation for 1:15pm and was seated at 1:45pm. Then, we were not greeted by a server for another 15 minutes. It was a special mother's day brunch menu which included starters but we did not receive them until after we asked for them as our orders arrived (delivered to the table by someone other than our server). Being understaffed for a special event day is not an excuse, these events happen every year and they should be prepared for it! Disappointing and not worth the price.

We had to wait for an hour even though we had reservations. Felt sorry for all the wait staff...it was clear that they had overbooked the restaurant.

This was my serving time at The Beach Cafe. The guest time I was there the food was disappointing.The juevos rancheros tasted like black beans (straight out of the can) on a plain, crunchy tortilla with tomato sauce poured over the top. We decided to give it another try on Mother's Day. Since they had a limited holiday menu (only three items to choose from) I subbed the food would cine quickly. It took a really long time to get our food, and my Crab Benedict was barely warm.

We go there a lot. Service was extremely slow but in their defense it was Mother’s Day so busier than usual but may have wanted to prepare for that. My daughters eggs Benedict came out soft boiled and my sons drnxh trash was just barely warm. But overall it was an ok experience because we knew the circumstances. They did give us a $20 gift card for our next visit because it took so long to get our food so that was a nice gesture.

We got here on time for our reservation, and they were very buy. When we checked inwe were advised it would be about 15 to 20 minutes wait. We were a party of two and there were tables for 4 available, but they would not seat us. So we took a seat at the bar and the waitress there said she could seat us at a table there for two. Great job on here part, if not we would have been waiting a long time after our reservation for a table for two.
Our meal was good along with the service and we appreciate the recommendation of the waitress. We would go back for sure and seat in the bar area since we do not have young children.

This greedy greedy establishment tried to capitalize on Mother's Day brunch by severely overbooking. Reservations for our party of 6 were made well over a month in advance for 11am. We were seated at 11:20 in a banquet room of the Woodmark Hotel. This was a significant distance from the cafe proper. It took an hour to receive our food which came out cold. The coffee and water service was practically non existent. There was neither butter nor jam for anyone's toast. Cold dry toast anyone? After repeated requests for the above, one serving was brought out. We needed 6. The banquet room had four large circular tables, each capable of seating 10. Quite often there was no staff whatever in the room. The food itself was mediocre and commonplace. The whole experience left me furious and I asked for a complete write off of the bill...which they did.

Went for Mother’s day brunch. Had a reservation still took 30 minutes to get seated. Poor planning on management part. Once we got seated I had my one year old with me and the booth was not set up for a child so she was between my mom and I on a one sided booth the whole time. It took us about 45 minutes to get our food and it wasn’t even good. I had the crab Benedict and there is no one that crab was fresh crab. Probably canned but I was so hungry I ate it anyways. I felt even worse for the people sitting next to me they waited a hour and half for their food. From my understanding the restaurant did comp their meal. Just a overall bad experience. Won’t be going back unless management figured out how to manage a day like that.

Cancelled our reservation when I called to let them know we were running a little behind. Took about 40 minutes to seat us. Crab Benedict tasted like it was frozen with tasteless thick hollandaise sauce. Kitchen was slow.

Our reservation was at 9:30 we were seated at 9:45 and didnt get our food until 11. The food was cold. While are server was very sweet the restaurant was complete chaos. My daughter's french toast was still wet on the bottom. I winded up going thru the McDonald's drive thru for Mother's Day breakfast.

We had a 7:15pm reservation to celebrate Mother's Day and were seated at 7:30. We were told the food would take 45 minutes to arrive because they were very busy. They were out of tacos, which was disappointing. My husband and sons ordered appetizers because they were hungry and didn't want to wait 45 minutes for food. One hour passed and NO food arrived! We were all cold by this time sitting outside, so we moved inside. The entrees finally arrived, but the appetizers never did. My son found a hair in his French fries and my Asian Chicken chopped salad was awful! Just a bowl full of cabbage and gristle chicken. They comped our entire bill, but it still didn't make up for ruining my Mother's Day dinner. We will never return!

Tough weekend for folks who plan to eat out during Mother's Day weekend and 85 degree temps. The kitchen was running behind causing delivery of food to come out slow. Servers were very up front about it, so it made it easy for me to add a appetizer to keep us from starving. Others did not plan well only to complain horribly about things. I felt really bad for the servers. The restaurant was packed, food was great and our server was awesome.

My sister and I wanted to take our mother out for a nice lunch for Mother’s Day weekend. We did not find it at the Beach Cafe.
We arrived at 12:15 for a 12:30 lunch reservation. I had requested an outside table, but the restaurant does not guarantee outside seating and they were slammed. Fine. We were finally seated at 1 pm, a half hour late. The table was inside, but by this point I just wanted to order as we had a 2 pm event.
We placed our order within a few minutes. The server gave us bread, but she brought me the wrong drink. A half hour later, we still had no food and the clock was ticking. We asked for our food to go and the check. The server was apologetic and kindly brought each of us a cup of chowder. My mother and sister gulped down their chowder and left. I wanted to leave, too, but instead I waited another half hour for our food and the check.
For this I paid $85 and I still haven’t eaten lunch.
The Third Floor Beach Cafe can do much better.

Worst service ever. The waitress on the deck moved very slow. She told us there was a 40 min kitchen wait after 30 minutes had gone by. Several people upset. They were absolutely not prepared for what she considered one of their biggest days. Won’t return.

First, the waitress didn't find our reservation. And even if I showed the booking on my phone, we waited more than 30 min to have a table, only because my friend asked to talk to someone else. Then, we got the food after waiting 45min more.

Unfortunately, our brunch experience was a great disappointment. Despite having a reservation (on Open Table) we had to wait 15 minutes to be seated when the restaurant was basically empty. People arriving after us were seated before us. Once seated no one came to our table for about 15 minutes other than our server after about 10 minutes to tell us she would not be back for a while. We were not offered coffee or beverages. When the server finally came, one of our guests ordered an Americano and I ordered coffee. The server brought the Americano, but completely forgot about my coffee and did not even apologize when I flagged her down to ask her where it was. My salmon benedict arrived cold with the poached eggs over cooked. Others who ordered hot items also said their hot items arrived cold. I never was offered a coffee refill and did not even see the server until the end of the meal to ask her for one. It took a long time to receive the bill and then have the bill picked up. I emailed the two restaurant managers and restaurant general manager to report the unusual poor experience. I never heard a reply. Apparently, the poor food quality and service meet their standards. Not hearing back might have been the biggest disappointment of all since I had been a regular prior to this experience.

My second bad experience here. I hadn’t been to the Beach Café for about 18 months after my dinner party waited for >2 hours for our entrees (being told every 10-15 minutes that they were coming) and finally left without being served. Still, this had been one of my go-to places for drinks and a view, so I decided to try again on my birthday. Bad call. It went down something like this:
Me: This is not chicken piccata, it’s chicken breast.
Server: (After discussion with the chef), It’s described on the menu.
Me: But it’s not chicken piccata. Chicken piccata is sliced, sautéed, and served in a sauce containing lemon juice, butter, and capers and this has none of those.
Server: (After further discussion with the chef), People complained that it was too dry when we pounded the chicken.
Me: That’s fine, but don’t call this something it’s not.
Server: Would you like to speak with the manager?
Me: Sure, or the chef.
It’s worth noting that I was polite and unaggressive during all this as I did not want to spoil the mood for my birthday dinner, but the chef and manager would not speak with me. Really?
Instead, they sent a server back with a $20 coupon THAT I WILL NEVER USE. Diner beware.

Made a reservation to have a table on the patio which they do not accept however, they found a nice table when I arrived on the patio.
Food was wonderful. The only reason I didn’t give five stars is they didn’t refill water glasses, but servers otherwise were very attentive. Will return.

It was the perfect place to meet someone for the first time, especially since one of us came from Carnation and the other from Seattle. The spectacular sunny day was frosting on the cake. The calmari and mini tacos were really delicious. Being outside with the wind shield was wonderful. The service was excellent...hardly noticed the waitperson and all our needs were met. The only thing I would suggest is that when serving calmari or other appetizer that are designed for 2, it would be nice to have 2 sauce dipping containers. The sauce was awesome! We had a very nice time.

Very slow service...took almost 45 mins after ordering to get a bowl of fruit and eggs. One of the dishes was also cold and the they were out of sausage and white bread. Location and our server was great but the kitchen needs work. This is the second time in a row the service was slow.
Food was overpriced for quality. Nice location and views. Service was fine.
I made a reservation weeks in advance. When I got to the restaurant I was sat in a corner against a wall. Probably the only table in the place without a view. And the water on the table had grime in it. No ice. Looked like it had been sitting there for days. Our server never came. So we ended up walking out. Very disappointing considering the price of food and the upscale environment.

I'm not sure I would recommend this Restaurant to a friend. It's a nice place, but way too expensive for what you get! For 1 bacon cheeseburger, 1 halibut dinner, 1 beer & a glass of wine, almost $100. That's ridicules! Then the breakfast the next morning, (room service) the order was wrong. The omelet was suppose to be bacon & sausage, but it was ham & bacon. He doesn't like ham! & I was going to get an orange juice, but changed my mind & crossed it off, but got it anyways! Everything was way too expensive, don't think we'll ever go back. Plus we were seated right next to the heater vents & were roasting the whole time we were there, we did tell someone & they turned off fireplace, but that didn't help. Gem with a view in Kirkland. Beach Cafe used to have best grilled steak salad. Unfortunately the meat have changed to poor quality (too tough) . My friends all 3 ordered Asian chicken salad which end up to be a much better choice. Though the dessert was delicious, the coffee really goo and served promptly .unfortunately can not remember the name of the desert but it was moist delicious cake with banana and whip-cream .

Unfortunately, my wife has celiac and ordered the risotto and each time it contained pasta. We had to send it back twice and then they gave her a gf burger we need boxed to go because we were running so late and it came back plated. They comped the dessert but when we got the bill the dessert was in the bill. So frustrating, people make mistakes but not the same one 4x.
