Great view and excellent service.
We went for Sunday brunch, staff friendly but we waited about 50 minutes for our meal, and we were not the only ones. They had their outdoor dining open and full, so it seemed like they could not keep up with the capacity. What was disappointing is when it finally came, I had the Mediterranean poached egg it was cold. My husband had the avocado Steak Toast and it was fabulous. Felt sorry for the wait staff, had to keep apologizing. The view is beautiful, and menu interesting. I just won't go back.
I made a special request for patio seating so I assumed they would tell or ask me if I wanted to wait for patio seatings or not and such. Upon arrival, we checked in and the girls didn’t ask us anything like if we wanted outside seatings or not (I’ve heard them asked other people if they wanted to). So at this point I thought we were going to sit outside since I made that special request. The girl brought us back and it wasn’t patio seating so I asked her if we could get patio seating and she wasn’t being nice about it and told us it would be an hour wait and told us if we wanted food she would sit at where she was seating us. Very disappointed in the service since it was our wedding anniversary. The bathroom was super dirty and toilet paper everywhere, not something I would come back for a pricey meal. Worst experience.
Came by boat and like the dock master that helps secure boat. Well worth a small tip.
Table was ready, service prompt and fish and chips really good
Enjoyed dinner at Beach Cafe. Sunny days are great at the restaurant. Very good service, food was tasty and ingredients seemed very fresh. My only criticism was the dinner portion size is small. Smaller than I’ve experienced in prior visits. Good food, but order an appitizer if you’re hungry.
One of the top 5 worst meal ever, appetizers horrible, food cold, server poor. I will never go back and will always recommend against this. As a business person I entertain frequently. Just horrible.
We had reservations (on a Monday evening) and still had to wait over 10 minutes to be seated....noise level was bad and we had trouble hearing each other. Food was just so-so but our waiter was wonderful and very attentive. We will come back to try other dishes but hope we are seated in a quieter area. (Noise was from 4 adults and not the table with a family of small children!)
The food was great and we watched a gorgeous sunset, the best we had seen in a long time. The staff was friendly. The only downside was the long wait for our food.
Wonderful location, bad service, long wait for the food(at least on the weekend)
A few weeks ago my husband and I went to the Beach Café for the first time for Brunch. My Eggs Benedict was phenomenal. Probably the best I've had. My husband opted for the Fish and Chips and he too was very impressed. So this Sunday when we decided where we wanted to go for breakfast I immediately thought of the Beach Café.
When we arrived we were given an amazing view and we were able to sit next to each other instead of across from one another which made it very cozy. Our waitress was very sweet and provided excellent service.
I ordered the Ham Eggs Benedict and my husband ordered scramble eggs, ham and English muffin. When our food arrive my husband had been given white bread and we asked for the English muffin which was quickly exchanged for us but it was barely toasted. My husbands eggs looked like they poured them on the griddle and let them cook and picked them up as one whole piece (much like an omelet but without the yummy stuff inside). He said they tasted okay and didn't want to complain because I had just complained about my eggs.
Both my eggs were hard cooked and not a drop of egg yolk. Which was extremely disappointing. I can't poach eggs or make a Hollandaise sauce which is why its my favorite to order when I'm out for breakfast. I asked about my eggs and the sweet service took and hand them redone. When they came back it was better but the Hollandaise sauce was kind of just blah.
The view was incredible, the staff were great but the food was just alright. We spend $40 for the view and some quiet time over breakfast, not your food. We may try going again some evening if nothing else for the view but we hope we catch the chef on a better day.
Our server Brittany was very friendly and her service was much appreciated
It was a perfect setting for taking out-of-towners unfamiliar with Kirkland. It had a very nice water view and the food was good, although a little pricey for lunch, but the service was very attentive. Considering that it is located in an excellent waterfront hotel it is a perfect spot for people wanting a nice dat-time dining experience on the Eastside.
Awful food and service. Entree, app, 1 beer, glass of wine $90. Wait staff never offered ground pepper until asked when they came to clear plates. To add insult to injury their parking validation wasn’t enough to cover the time it took to eat due to extremely slow and inattentive service. Go to the other spots if you have your heart set on dinner at Carillon Point. Won’t return to Beah Cafe.
Always a go-to when we have friends or family in town for a nice seafood inspired menu with good views and sometimes outdoor seating.
The service and lake view were great. Super nice staff. The food was okay; next time I would stick to sandwiches. The steak entree was alright but not worth the money. Overall a fun place to go with friends or family.
I really dislike the new menu, and for the first one felt like there was nothing on the menu that interested me.
The food was very good but the service was a bit slow and the restaurant could use a bit of an update. Carpet seemed tired/dirty and things just looked a bit worn. Not something I would expect if I'm paying some higher prices for lunch.
I brought many clients to the restaurant for years however I have not been to the Beach Cafe in serveral years and I found the menu not as robust and the food was mediocre in my opinion. I was very disappointed from how it was in the past.
I have been to Beach Cafe many times for lunch but this was my first for breakfast. We were a party of 7 people. 3 people received their breakfasts before anyone else. 2 people received 1/2 their breakfasts before their toast (which only was delivered after the rest was cold) and 2 people received their breakfast when others were almost done with their meals. The server dripped coffee out of her pot on one of our guests (on his shirt, pants and shoes) after we'd let her know that it was dripping on her own shoes. Our coffee "warm ups" were luke warm (coffee in the pot wasn't hot). No apologies for meals served late. Wouldn't go back.
The view is fabulous and the patio is amazing when the sun is shining in Seattle. Otherwise the food as less than average, the shrimp tacos had 2 shrimp in each taco - for $18 or whatever it was, I expect more than 4 shrimp. It might be a different story for just drinks and an appetizer but for a fun family dinner that isn’t exactly cheap, the food should be so much better.
Disabled access here is not accommodated. We had a large party her for my wife's birthday. My 19 yr daughter is in a wheelchair due to spinal cord injury. It is almost impossible to enter the dining area in a wheelchair. My daughter asked a bus boy to please move an umbrella stand. He immediately replied that is was bolted to the ground and he could not. I in fact could slide it out of the way with some difficulty.
It is shocking that such a nice restaurant in an affluent area is clearly in ADA violation.
As a destination restaurant, thought it would be better. Tables to close together so seating was tight and people traffic made it difficult for both dinners and walkers. Food ok but nothing to write home about. All staff friendly
The food and the service were excellent. Fair pricing.
It was great except for noise level
Took over 30 minutes after being seated to have our order taken and that was after we had asked twice to send our wait staff to our table. Very very slow!
The food, view, and service were good! My complaint is that the floor was gross. I don't even normally look at floors, but it was REALLY dirty, even though it was only 5pm on a Monday. Food bits all over the floor along my entire walk to our table at the back near the windows. Was kind of embarrassed that I had invited business associates to meet me there.
i've been going there since it opened and does not disappoint,
Beach Cafe is a favorite “first date” venue for me
Ambiance and view. The food, on the other hand is not very good
LSt Sunday we ordered calamari and brussel sprouts
The sprouts were not cooked enough
The calamari was barely recognizable as calamari
Lots of breaded crumbles, few actual pieces of substance.
Previously I was also disappointed in the calamari - way too salty.
Twice burned, now I’ll tru a different Kirkland restaurant.
A perfect combination of excellent food, a variety of beverages, outstanding service and a view of Lake Washington that is second to none.
The service was really slow.. It seems that way every time I go..
Fabulous location right on the water. Great to watch a sunset. Good food. Nice ambiance.
Everything was great except the chipotle chicken salad is disgusting. No flavor, the salad is crappy iceberg lettuce with nice greens over the top to conceal what’s underneath. Really disappointed.
On a positive note - the wings are incredible!
The views are great and the staff is friendly. Our waitressing staff did not seem very organized (a couple different people asking us for orders on the same thing and then no one checking in later) and food too quite a while considering the place was almost empty. But the food was good and the atmosphere was nice.
Quality of food seems to have declined over the years. Hair in the food which they quickly replaced, but then found another hair in another plate later in the meal. Tremendous view and great ambiance and our server Abigail was extremely good.
Wonderful to know you accept reservations, as it's a very popular place! You validate parking as well. Couldn't be happier!
Food not that good. Seems they are trying to go all 'organic, kale, etc. Use to have wonderful salads several years ago (i.e. teriyaki chicken/avacado salad) Chowder still ok. Fries overdone, beer choices poor. Requested a booth and ended up in corridor across from kitchen door with AC blasting down our necks and cooling the food as well. Very disappointing as it was husband's birthday.
Excellent service. Food was very average. I wouldn’t go back
Had a very nice time at The Beach Cafe. The food was good and the ambiance was quiet and peaceful, in spite of the two toddlers we brought with us. Very nice evening.
Great weather to sit in the outdoor patio. Wonderful food, relaxed but attentive service. A perfect afternoon.
Come here at least once a month for brunch. Yummy eggs Benedict and hardly ever a wait
