bd's Mongolian Grill - Independence
only problem we had was they were out of kids menus. when we got our bill the kid drinks(they were the only ones who got anything besides water) were as much as their meals. after we left looked online at kids menu we were charged for adult drinks instead of kids.
It was great. We had gone for my birthday, we enjoyed our meal.
Our group of 6 arrived and we checked in with a reservation and they gave our table away. We were told that we would have to wait an unknown amount of time (like everyone else without a reservation). We were on a time limit, the reason we planned ahead. Once we were seated, they split our group into 2 different groups in the bar area. The waiter was also the bartender who introduced himself and went straight to the bar to serve. We had to make a decision to stay on schedule, we had to leave and find somewhere else to eat. Not a good experience. Stressful environment.
Had reservations at 7, got there at 650 my 2 children an I was seated at 7, waiting for the rest of the group to show up. I waited over 15 mins for my server to come over an ask if I wanted something to drink while waiting for the rest of the group. I noticed she was just standing over in the corner by the server station. She didn't tell us her name or anything. I wasn't happy waiting over 15 mins to get a drink.
Awesome food and good service! Second time here and it was even better than the first. If you haven't been it is a great place to discover.
When we arrive before 630 reservation the hostess was not able to read for OpenTable reservation system affectively and told us a reservation was for 4:30. Luckily I had my confirmation email and they immediately sent us out in the open table. The waitress was slow on refilling our drinks and I purchased a drink from the bar that took 45 minutes to be delivered. The cooks were great and very personable and the food was OK.With the volume of diners it’s important to keep the food buffet clean and full. Many of the guest who were eating did not seem completely familiar with how to walk through a buffet line.
We had bad service and it was really sad going here for fathers day and we did not get our white rice and tortillas until we were almost done. no refills. Had to find our own plates.
We love Bds Mongolian grill. We have been coming for years. We always come for our birthday meals and often for other kid free date nights. The kiddos enjoy watching the chefs make the food but it's difficult to lug a toddler/baby up to make your bowls especially on a busy night when the line can get quite long. So we usually go alone. Our food is good...but sometimes the spices we choose aren't what we expected, but the more we visit the more you learn how to make delicious combinations. Season the meat and veggie bowl w seasonings before having them cook it then add sauce during cooking!!
My family doesn't have food allergies, thank goodness. But if they did I'm sure this wouldn't be a good place. Since ppl make their own bowls and I'm sure some accidents may happen and seafood could touch other meat... There are peanuts on the spice area and there is one grill for cooking multiple peoples food at a time. Eggs are also available to added to bowls so it would make me nervous! But there is a sign that says "Let your chef know if you have food allergies" so I'm sure they clean a spot on the grill...
Over all good place to go for an endless assortment of Asian cuisine, made to order.
We are all fat and extremely useless for the rest of the workday. Which is pretty much exactly what the plan was.
We enjoyed the food, but it was far to noisy to have a meeting. Plus we were put in a room with another big party. I will not have another business meeting here. I would just come to eat with my family though.
The place was clean, busy and the Staff was friendly. It was my first time there and our Waiter talked me through it before we started. All had a good time, very relaxed.
They were extremely busy when we got there, but the line flowed smoothly and we were able to dive into the deliciousness before the hunger pangs got too noticeable!
Overall good experience! Went for an after graduation dinner for my daughter, with about 20 or so people. The food was good, the reserved seating area was great, and our sever David was excellent! No complaints! Will definitely go again! :)
It was disappointing they did not have my reservation when I arrived. I had to show them my email.
We love ad's Mongolian for family gatherings because it accommodates everyone's different eating plan.
Our waitress Chelsea was outstanding. Everyone was accommodating.
Had reservations for 715. Came in at 7 and never was seated. 30 minutes passed and still nothing. I left, probably will not be back.
When we got there the hostess couldn't find our reservation, so i had to pull up the email to show her. Which was a little inconvenient.
Fantastic got seated right away ..not very crowded for a Saturday evening.
Food was outstanding!!
Our server was okay. She was attentive but kept forgetting little things. It was my boyfriend’s birthday and although he does get emails, he never received his birthday email. We let the server know and she came back to tell us that he would only get 4.99 off of either a dessert or his meal. He had called earlier in the day to ask the manager if he’d get his meal for free still and they said yes. So the manager came in, was very rude to us and had no intentions of actually listening to us. He interrupted us in the middle of explaining our situation and finally said that he would only take off 4.99 unless it was my boyfriends actual birthday. We said it was and showed him his drivers license. He still was rude but ended up giving it to him for free. We have never had an experience like this here and we go here every year for my boyfriends birthday. Sadly, that will not be the case anymore and we plan on finding somewhere new to celebrate our special occasions.
Our service was poor. We would definitely have tipped better but when you continuously walk around with a sour look on your face and you don't really service the entire table, you will not get a $30 tip. TIPS stand for: To Ensure Proper Service. Being polite was like you simply tolerated us. And after experiencing high quality service at the location in Pearland, TX I would give this restaurant experience about a 1-2. Family always makes the time better. Feel free to contact me management if you have questions.
Server was great!second plate was undercooked shrimp was raw
I enjoy going here because everyone in the party can get/create what they want/how they want it. However, the last few times we have made a reservation here for a larger party- we still had to wait the around the same time as others who walked-in to put there name in. My suggest make the reservation but have someone in your party how up early to 'check in'.
Always good. Had their Beer Cheese for the first time. It was a bit runny, which is very unusual for BD soups.
Getting to a table with a reservation made approx. 32 weeks ago was a problem with the Hostess. We arrived 15 minutes before our 5:oo PM reservation and the Hostess had to get someone to help him before we got seated. The restaurant was 90% empty. Not sure what happened but are we were seated the waitress took good care of us and the food was GREAT.
Had great time on my birthday. The use of open table to reserve spot is great. Usually just walk right in
Great food awesome drinks!
Went in on New Years Eve. Service was excellent and food was delicious
Great service, food was amazing. Enjoyed the experience of the open cooking. Lots of options. Large selection of beers/ales.
It was amazing, the staff was overall helpful and respectful. I loved the enthusiasm and speed, and I would definitely give this restaurant a 5 star rating.
Alexa was great. She was very polite and on top of everything. Thank you Alexa. The manager, however, was not polite. I dont remember his name.
Recommend a reservation for large group. We had reserved for a table of 7. After being seated we had 3 more adults and 2 babies show up for the party. The waitress was so accommodating and moved tables together at a different location to seat us all. The food was excellent and there was lots of it. Price is very reasonable. This was my first visit but I intend to go back whenever I am in the area.
Our waitress was outstanding. Think her name was kayley something like that.
Great service, nice waitress, food wonderful. This is my 2nd time coming back within a month.
Worst food I’ve ever had at a restaurant. Horrible service. The meat was so tough you could barely chew it. Definitely not worth the price!
The manager was rude and wasn't polite I will not recommend this place to anyone
I enjoyed my time at Mongolian BBQ but one of the waitresses I had was horrible. She was rude, didn't smile or communicate at all. The other waitress I had on the other hand was polite, took her time and communicated.
Great fresh food with a wide assortment of flavors. Always a pleasure.
