bd's Mongolian Grill - Easton
Me and my friends came for my birthday. The waiter came over once. Never brought our bowls for our unlimited. No refills. And stopped by at the end giving the receipt which was asked to be on all separate checks and was not split. He left someone else brought another receipt not split. No singing, everyone seemed upset. Not how I wanted to spend my birthday.
Food supply not kept up. Always have to wait for food line refills.
Not the best experience! Tables dirty, server bouncing from bar to the back to the front to cash bar out, no refills, asked 3 times for rice and tortillas...waited 10 mins for our bill and I had to chase him down literally chase him through the place. Not Interested I’m going back.
I made a reservation and made to wait while the host sat all the walk in first . I asked the host what’s the point of doing a reservation if I was made to wait and disregard my reservation and to top everything she sat me at round table of 6 for just two people "… my server ask if this was our first time and fail to mention that we couldnt get a bowl for veggies instead he charged me for unlimited bowl when I had one bowl
Everybody was nice my only thing was that the food on the grill was literally burnt the people on the grill kept dropping the spatulas and kept talking to customers not paying attention to the food burning
I just love everything about BD from the food to how it’s prepared! It’s always so good! It’s just a fun and tasty place to eat.
Place needs to be cleaned up, floors were dirty with food and paper. Other patrons were rude and very pushy. Many of the items in the line were not filled up so you couldn't get what you wanted. Server didn't know what a double Captain and Coke in a tall glass meant, Prickly Pear Margarita tasted like cough syrup. Overall not a great experience, unfortunately we won't be back and I wouldn't recommend this place. Thought it would be fun for our kids who are 12 and 8 but it more of other patrons crowding them out and being rude.
It was PHENOMENAL
They have gone downhill in many areas. With less available food items on the bowl bar. The cleanliness of the grill and environment was sub par. Even the dishes were missing the covers. The wait staff made a few mistakes and were inattentive. I used to love this place. I don't know if I'll return.
We had a Friday, 7:00PM reservation. It seemed as though they had enough wait staff to handle the volume of patrons, but they weren’t keeping up with the cleanliness of the restaurant, in general. The floors were dirty, the table wiped but still sticky, the food line very messy and unappetizing. It prevented me from choosing some ingredients I would have liked. Wait staff and food cookers were personable.
Always enjoy going there!
Love the atmosphere and idea of the whole dining experience! Very unique restaurant. Will for sure make another stop!
Noise was excessive. The restaurant was overcrowded and food waste/debris was all over the place. Stacked 3 deep waiting to get to the grill. Servers were overloaded and not attentive.
The food is okay. Your hands get beyond sticky from getting your own food. The tables are sticky, the floors are sticky. Our server was very nice but then took forever with the check when we just wanted to get out of there.
We were not fans of the concept. It became quite crowded waiting for a hibachi-style meal. With two young children, I struggled to wait with my bowl for my turn...then stand and wait for the food to be prepared. The flavor was fair— not worth the wait.
First time at Mongolian Grill, loved it. Will definitely be a frequent patron.
The waitress was nice but just not very professional, and the host was rude. Just simple questions seemed to bother her. the one in Columbus is MUCH better, I figured Easton would be a great experience but overall it seems a little more.. low scale dining compared to our Columbus experiences. Food was great as always!
Good service and great food. The Hibachi cooks were fun and really seemed to be enjoying their job! Atmosphere and food areas were clean. Our waiter was friendly and fast. We were celebrating our 20th anniversary, and we had a good evening there.
BDs has been one of my favorites for years and Easton is the one I visit most often. It has gone down hill. Service was sub par for sure. My GF has a gluten allergy. We were careful to research and pick the right foods, told our server and had her food cooked in the back. Thank goodness we did all that because she was in the restroom sick in less than 20 minutes from when our food arrived (sarcasm intended). We did a staycation and had a day and half ruined because of the gluten situation.
I went on my daughters birthday to try something new. First, the meat set up concerned me but I overcame that. I seen that they sing happy birthday so I asked the waitress and the hostess to ask could they sing to my daughter and both told me to go and ask myself (nicely). They sang low and it wasn’t even “happy Birthday.” The food tasted burnt yet my chicken was raw! I told the manager who asked did I wanna make another bowl but, of course not I’m afraid and disgusted now! I would recommend just for the experience. If you know how to mix their spices and sauces then it may be worth it but for a first timer, go with someone who has been because if not, you’re in for a bland meal at a hefty price. I would like to see if it can be better but, I’m afraid to go back!
Absolutely wonderful place to eat I love it !!!! The staff is wonderful and I love how they cook everything right in front of you and you get to see a show while they are cooking!!!
Cooks burned me and my sons food not turning it enough on the grill had to remake meal
DO NOT GO!!! How this place is still open, I don’t know. Between the terrible service, raw meat out being touched by the public, the staff touching and visibly dropping sweat On the raw meat, the tables that have not been bussed, The long lines to get your food cooked, and the general disorganization and chaos, I have no idea how the health department has not shut this place down or why people would choose to patronize this restaurant over The many options in the Easton area. I am disgusted by what I saw and the fact that my food was not edible because it was burnt beyond recognition, and will never go back to this BD’s or any other. Just don’t go.
The food stations were very messy and a lot of the selections were empty or early empty. Our table was not clean when we were seated.
This place is always a go to when you need a good hearty meal but the grill was super slow and super unprofessional and disorganized. One of the cooks got nasty with the customer and he immediately blamed the manager for not doing his job. I do blame the cook and manager because they should known Fathers Day would of been busy and should had all hands on deck and the manager should assure the cook line was moving accordingly. My food was still delicious although we stood in line for it to be cooked for over 30 minutes but I guess. Still good review just need the cooks and manager to stop blaming the customers on why their business is not going right.
Group of 6 went for dinner Saturday night. The noise level was horrible, the floors were filthy and the food buffets had sloppy food all over it and food was in other containers. It was not appealing at all. The only refreshing thing was our waitress. She was really good and we enjoyed her service. Not sure I’ll be back for a long time. I recommend keeping up on wiping tables, cleaning floors and food areas.
Bd's is such a unique experience. All the food is raw and you choose what you want, take it to the cook and they cook right in front of you on a big circular grill! You choose your own seasonings and sauces. Once you get back to the table theres tortillas, and rice there able to be used as sides. Definitely recommend for big groups. I also recommend going during the week, this place on the weekends is crazy packed.
It was a big mess. The waitresses we had were always confused had no idea about anything we could never get anything to drink. Then when it came time for our bills half of them were charged for things we didnt even get. We asked for our Military discount we got $2 off our bill. I get adding gratuity to the bill but next time they should actually earn it not just bring us 1 bowl and add $15 for a tip. Next time we will not be coming to this location nor will we recommend this location.
Needs to have 3-4 cook on grill to keep lines from backing up.
At least two people keeping the food and veggies restocked
Food is always good - super crowded because of Mother’s Day ....need to do a better job cleaning utensils and bowls.
This particular evening was a disaster except that we were able to make a reservation and be seating quickly. However, it all went downhill from there. We had to track down a server, she told us that she was not our server, but still took our drink and rice orders. After waiting double the time as normal for our food to be cooked, we came back to our table to find out drinks with no rice or utensils. Again we tracked down our server only to be told that all utensils were in the dishwasher and we were brought plastic forks. The server apparently sent the manager over, as we had not complained, at that point. He came over and apologized, as well as discounted our orders which was nice of him, as well as receiving an apology from our original server. I did not mention this was our cousins first time at BDs and we raved about it before we came, only to fall short. I doubt we'll return on a Saturday evening again, as we usually visit at lunchtime during the weekday. My rating of Yes was based in our past experiences, it would be a No if I were basing it on only on this experience.
Plenty of tables open yet a long wait. Line for grill was very long and the containers with the meats and sauces were empty. Definitely mis-managed.
Noisy kid friendly good selection of veggies but the meat leaves a lot to be desired
Our reservation was OK , but of the five in our party , three of us had food that ranged from over-cooked to actually burnt. My daughter's food was inedible and when we advised our waitress , who was excellent , she summoned a manager who let her get a replacement bowl and this bowl was alright. Even our second bowl was not as burnt as the first but was still over cooked. The guys at the grill need to pay more attention to the grill and not talking and showing off. The line for the grill was was about 20 minutes long , which meant my daughter spend nearly forty minutes in line for just one edible bowl. The salad bar was so messy that none of us were interested in trying it - food scattered everywhere and mixed up. This was a birthday dinner and it was very disappointing. Line management was totally ineffectual. You guys are better than this.
Great dinner with excellent service. The food was fresh and cooked to perfection. Our family loves coming here. Tonight we were celebrating a college graduation.
Got food went up to grill, but for some reason they couldn't manage the queue of people correctly and end up breaking our group of 5 up. So everybody couldn't eat at the same time. It was a mess. Stand here, oh wait slide down one, oh u have to step back.. it could have been easily avoided. Also the server would disappear for 10 mins at a time. It was a Wednesday, not busy primetime.
It’s hard to say service ruined our experience at a place where you make your own food, but it did.
Upon arrival, they said they could not find our reservation. 20 minutes later we were seated, only to have a 15 minute wait for our server to take our drink orders and another 10 minutes before she brought our bowls. She was inattentive throughout the meal. Drinks were not refilled, she never returned to see if we wanted another bowl for a second trip. We she returned we asked for our bill and some boxes. 15 minutes later we had to search for a manager to bring those items.
Our food was good, and the cooks did a good job, but 2 1/2 hours for lunch is toooo long. Service really needs to improve at this location.
Best BD’s in Columbus. Great service. This is my top restaurant ever
Thank you for the high star rating, Marchiando! We look forward to your next visit with us, take care!
Yes I would but I felt like the server my wife and I had was under the influence of something significantly stronger than alcohol. She forgot our rice and appetizers on top of forgetting we had ordered alcoholic beverages with waters. The food was exceptional so it's a toss up for me whether we'll go to this one anytime soon.
Rell, we regret to hear you did not receive the top notch service we strive for. Our management team would really like to discuss this with you and work towards turning your experience around. Please reach out at (614) 471-1000. Thank you and we hope to hear from you!
Overall, we had a great visit! The only complaint that I had was that the bars for the food weren't consistently stocked. The food was great and the staff cooking were entertaining as well as efficient.
