bd's Mongolian Grill – Arena
We were seated right away ! The food and the service was great. It was my sons birthday the staff made him feel celebrated!! Thank you!!
One of the cleanest locations that I’ve been too. I was a little shocked by how tidy the stations were, as they are typically a disaster at dinner time. Always a good value. Food was good and fresh. Service was just okay.
Awesome food and great drinks! Had a great time and would return.
Our waitress was outstanding. I brought a group of students while attending a contest in Columbus. She was very understanding of the students, we greatly appreciated her laughter and taking care of our little group. Especially with the tea contest a few students decided to create.
It was okay. The food was okay. The service was excellent
Absolutely loved it. Even my picky children found something that they liked. Being from Michigan I appreciated the "Wolverines taste like chicken" joke.
We went as a large group of 20 and the food, chefs and experience were all amazing!! Will definitely be visiting again!
This was the third time I have been to this restaurant and we had good experiences the first two times. We had reservations and went on a weeknight so it wasn’t crowded. This visit was much different... the service was terrible, the restaurant was extremely messy and the food was less than great. Our rice came out and was ice cold by the time we got to eat it bc of the air conditioning blowing down on our table throughout dinner. It is winter time and we asked the server to turn the air off because it was cold and also bc it was blowing all the napkins and kids menus around the table. She said she would but never did.. we had to wear our coats during dinner and eat cold food that was lesss than satisfying. We were all very disappointed with this experience and will likely not return.
Best stir fry put together in a bowl right in front of you ever. The value for what you pay is definitely worth it. You can fill your bowl up with as much meat, veggies, sauce and your choice of rice or tortillas all night. I thought I’d be eating 4 bowls, turns out I got stuffed after 2 and still had a bit of rice leftover. However, the attentiveness of the waiters/waitresses that I had/saw was lacking. My waiter stopped by 3 times the whole time and not once asked if I was enjoying the food. The noise level is very loud with the music, people talking (expected) and sizzling of the grill. All-in-all worth the price and time spent on your feet for the delicious bd’s bowls.
I would not recommend this to a friend if they are planning on actually getting seated at the time that they reserved. I made reservations for myself and a group of friends to eat at 5 pm on Saturday and upon arrival at 4:55 the hostess told me that they were too busy to honor our reservation and that we would have to wait about 35 minutes to be seated. Our reservations were made about five days in advance and we received no warning.
The server hardly came to our table. I had to flag down a hostess to ask about allergies after waiting for the server for a while. I had to flag down the waiter to ask for soy sauce, which was never brought. Our beers were empty and we weren’t asked if we wanted another. It took a long time for the server to return to the table after we ate so I could ask for the check. Just bad service.
I’m a 25% tipper almost always, but I tipped just 10%.
They were excellent with handling our large group of people during a very busy weekend (The Arnold Sport Festival) The staff was welcoming and provided great service.
We went to the Arena District location before a CBJ game, and as expected it was a packed house. At one point, we waited 30 mins after building our bowls just to get our food cooked. It is to be expected that the restaurant will be busy on game days. The food was still very good and the general manager did a great job expediting things in a timely fashion. I would just go earlier on game days or not at all.
We had a reservation and still had to wait 30 minutes for a table even though we were staring at 6 unbussed empty tables. The line for the grill was 25 minutes long. The grill was out of plates and as a result they burned, a lot, our food because it stayed on the grill too long. Our waiter made no effort to make it up to us. I ordered a drink when we sat down and still did not have after 30 minutes so I had to ask a second time. BD’s is one of my favorites but this experience may have turned me off for quite a while.
We had a reservation for 5:30 and part of our group arrived early. We were seated and enjoyed appitzers while we waited on the rest of our group to arrive. Brant was our server and he did an OUTSTANDING JOB. We have visted other locations in Columbus and like the arena district the best.
We had a very large group and the staff was more than accommodating. Everyone was so friendly!! The food was delicious and particular attention was paid to food allergies. Loved our server!! Overall GREAT experience!!
My department gets together at the holidays with two people who retired from our area. We reminisce and bring them up2date on the new things taking place in our area and the job in general.
The staff is very professional and courteous.
The location is about 10 minutes from the job.
Service was great , had a great time with my family
And daughters birthday
Great place to take co-workers
Servers great! Don't go during high peak lunch times when location near businesses. Took about 40 min from start to having food cooked due to popular time.
It was so loud and the line to the grill was wrapped through the dining area. We left.
The staff there were amazing and very helpful. I would love to come back.
1st time but won't be the last! Loved the ambience and our waiter was FANTASTIC!! The chefs were fun and creative and the food was very, very good!!! I highly recommend it for college students and families.
Was not impressed with the cleanliness of the buffet area where raw meat is picked up by the patrons.
We had 11 people in our group and it was one person's birthday. Once we were given our plates to get our food, we had to keep flagging the waiter down for refills of drinks/rice/tortillas. Once we had our bill, we wanted to make sure the birthday meal was taken off. The waiter started walking away in the middle of the sentence. Other than that, the food was great and we enjoyed ourselves.
Everything was good. It was as expected. My group had a good time
Fun place to bring college students every year. Super flexible food options to suit all types of eaters.
Fun, casual dining. Our server, Monica, was great! I was concerned to watch the young man working at the Front desk/ arrival area who greeted and then very enthusiastically rubbed and petted with both hands a large dog that a patron brought in with her. The dog was wearing a back cover but it did not appear to be a service dog. I perceived it as a companion dog. The young man never left his spot at the front desk to go wash his hands after petting the dog. I was very happy he never helped out at our table of 15. Not sure what the pet policy is, so no offense at the dog ... just wondering about the hand washing...
The service is what makes the place so amazing. From hostess to server to cook.
I find this restaurant to always be friendly and considerate even during waiting to be seated. Never had bad service and the crew at the grill are talkative and very good at their job. Management is always walking the floor and asking if things are good. Good place and reasonably priced for a night out.
We made a reservation to ensure a table for our celebration and we did indeed get a nice table, a quiet one in the back. However, we felt forgotten back there. We had to ask for service, we waited to just flag down our server on several occasions, and one in our party was going to go up to get her own refill and then able to get our server to come. We wanted it to be a special time out, but it was almost a game to just get service. The Birthday girl had to wait for a second bowl for way too long, and we long were ready to leave by the time they brought out her birthday treat.
Service was very slow given it was not busy in the restaurant at that time. Took 5 minutes for a hostess to come to the front of the restaurant and another 5 for a server to first stop by. Food, selection of ingredients, and speed of cooking all great.
I love the concept of building your own meal! It is a perfect Weight Watchers meal for me! Zero points for beans, corn, shrimp, baby corn, sprouts and mushrooms.
We made reservations to eat lunch with our Thirty One Gifts teammates between our general sessions being held at Nationwide Arena. We’ve eaten here each year for lunch and will be back again next year!!
Bd Easton is better. I don't feel like my vegetables were cooked good enough. I enjoyed my god much more at the Easton location!
We came in for a conference and needed a place to eat for a group of 11. This was perfect - fun, not too busy, and within walking distance from the convention center. The food was hot and fresh, and the endless options for making your meal made even picky eaters happy. The wait staff were helpful, friendly, and funny. We had a great time.
I had a wonderful time for my birthday. The service was excellent and the food was awesome. The servers kept our party of 20 satisfied and all our orders were correct no mistakes made the whole night.
We had a large party and the staff was very accommodating. We like the concept and have been to other create your own stir fry places. Those places you also select your own vegetables, sauces, etc. The one thing you decide on but don’t serve yourself at these type of restaurants is the protein and for good reason. When getting the raw chicken out the tongs were covered in raw chicken juice. We were all pretty grossed out by the lack of sanitary conditions this creates.
Fun place for a birthday dinner!
We don't have these in Florida and it was a different type of dining than we expected! Server was very helpful with guiding us & we enjoyed the process. Would go again!
