Excellent food, Excellent service, great Wine, awesome food
This is, quite simply, the best restaurant in Houston; and has been for some time.
The food is amazing (you must try the suckling pig at least once), the decor warm and unique and the service impeccable.
I would go there weekly if i could restrain myself and not over order every time.
Somewhat on the pricey side. There are other continental cuisine restaurants with nice ambiance that are a better value.
We came my for husband’s bday since we were there once before and really liked it.
This time I liked it a little less. The food (main dish)was just ok,I just should have not got what waiter was pushing so much(lamb chops). My husband got suckling pig which he liked but both dishes being almost $60 each i expected more. Just didn’t like waiter suggesting the most expensive dishes including the special appetizer without telling the price and it’s not even being good. The only things I really liked were sangrias, both white and red.in conclusion it’s a pretty place for a special occasion but I doubt I will be back, can find some better spots when spending over $200.
Great Service, modern take on traditional fine Spanish cuisine. Expensive but worth it.
Alfredo is the best server ever and Paco as manager is super. Food unreal. Service even better.
As soon as we walked in the door we received great service! The drinks were perfect and the food was delicious to match. Great experience!
Loved our evening at BCN! Never disappoints. Closest we can get a to fine European dining in Houston.
Wonderful in every way. Outstanding service. Every dish was perfect.
BCN continues its strong tradition of excellent service and exquisite meals. The cozy atmosphere coupled with authentic Spanish cuisine with the freshest ingredients combine to form a memorable dining experience. I will be back!
You don’t get the bang for the buck. Too expensive and small plates and portions. Wine expensive like crazy. $17 worth wine at $48. Crazy
Som Sebastian was a HIT and had some amazing suggestions for wine pairings! The food was not up to par for the prices and the signature Oak smoke flavor was overpowering in most dishes. The portions are small and that was a disappointment. Mussels were tender but there were far too few. Sebastian would be our reason to return!
Love this place!!! Everything is always perfect!
Allowed our server to guide us through everything. Surprised, amazed, without words, outstanding, and absolute perfection. Left content and eager to return.
BCN is one of the best restaurants in Houston! We can’t wait to go back!
This is the best restaurant in Houston, maybe the Southwest and beyond. Along with the incredible food is impeccable service.
Not impressive, food (fish) was salty, desert (chocolate) was ok. Not Outstanding as i expected from the reviews. Servicecwas great. I am Catalan, from Barcelona region and was not impressed. Decor is simple. Atmospher is quiet. Not clear why this place is overrated. Kind of overpriced too.
Best food in Houston and Awesome as always! Cant wait for my next visit.
My 3rd visit to this gem confirms that Luis Roger is a force to be reckoned with! Living up to his El Bulli background, BCN has to be at the top of anyone's "Best of Houston" list.
This may be the best restaurant in Houston (and that is saying something). The food is not just outstanding, it is different, and we had an awesome meal. The only catch is getting in. Tiny restaurant means you must make reservations far in advance. But our efforts paid off. Fantastic food and service.
BCN is a very good restaurant, and could be a great restaurant except for a few minor issues. The cocktails are fabulous - awesome gin tonics. The service is friendly and good. Most of the items on the menu are good, and some exceptional. A few misses on our recent visit: “seared calamari” came out as soggy fried calamari, potato appetizer was a disappointment, and the duck breast was over cooked. I love this restaurant, but it seems to be slipping a bit.
Luis and his wife were wonderful hosts. The food was excellent and so was the service. The entire staff was friendly and attentive. It was our first time there. We will be back.
This is a great neighborhood restaurant. The food and exceptional service is outstanding. We have been coming here for the last 4 years and it has always been consistent . We will continue to dine at this fine restaurant.
This is a welcoming, outstanding restaurant, certainly one of the best in houston. At our table we had suckling pig, medium rare roasted duck breast with Isdabal(cheese) sauce and filet Mignon. The pig was succulent and crisp, the duck perfectly done, tender, tasty and the cheese sauce unique. The filet was as good or better than any. Our bottle of Hacienda Moasterio was excellent and perfect with our dishes. Our somewhat courageous taster thought the pigfoot carpaccio was terrific as was the watermelon burrata salad. Great food, wine. sevice from Gerry and a visit from the chef Luis! Fabulous evening
Definitely one of the best restaurants I’ve ever been, the food and service is outstanding, great wine list and better drinks! The chef is super humble and the staff is amazing!
Excellent service and food. We enjoyed celebrating our 19th wedding anniversary at this gem. It’s expensive.
We had a delightful anniversary celebration at BCN last Saturday night. The restaurant was lovely, and, although busy and vibrant, steps have clearly been taken to keep the noise level low. My husband and I felt transported back to Barcelona, as we enjoyed the Spanish wines and dishes. Everything was delicious, from the calamari and ham croquettes to our seafood entrees. The service was wonderful and warm. We will definitely return.
Buzzy spot. At the price point would expect higher quality (quality’s very good, but pricing seemed to be a level above it.) That said, a solid addition to the expense account meals rotation - and one of the few viable non-steak options in town for that purpose. Service seemed ok but not what I’d expect in this price tier as well.
Best restaurant in Houston. Consistently excellent.
Absolutely one of my favorites and always a wonderful experience!
Always an incredible experience. Best Catalan restaurant in the Western Hemisphere.
BCN is about as close to Spain as you can come in Houston. The food and service were excellent. This is about my third time eating at BCN and it never disappoints.
Everything was superb! The waitress suggested an off the menu blood orange gin cocktail that my non-gin loving colleagues raved about. We all ordered different main course dishes and BCN did not disappoint. Fresh and flavorful from the appetizers to dessert. This place is a keeper.
We had a 5:15 reservation and were being rushed towards end of meal. The gin and tonic drinks were fabulous. Would like to give BCN a second chance.
May be the best restaurant in Houston. Beautiful dining room, great lighting. Food is fantastic. A very authentic European/Spanish experience.
Lovely atmosphere. Great service. The dishes never disappoint and are fabulous.
It was our first visit. Food was very good both in taste and presentation. Dishes explained thoroughly should you have questions. Portions are modest but the price is not ;) Service was outstanding. Very ample wine list and full bar available. Here is a sampling of some of what was ordered. Tartar, patata brava, calamari, pork tenderloin.
This restaurant is excellent. Great service, food, and ambiance.
The Iberian ham was so amazing. Probably the best I have had, even better than what I have had in Spain. Great experience.
