Maple-Miso Chilean Sea Bass
wasabi mashed potatoes, baby spinach, tamari-ginger sauce
almond basmati rice, parmesan- arugula, cherry tomatoes, roasted red pepper sauce
Bazins always good. Was the first “non fast food” in tysons area and still satisfies
Dave was a fantastic server who had just the right amount of coming to the table and leaving our party of 6 alone. I cannot recommend the sea bass enough. (Avoid the more vegetarian fare of pasta and risotto though. I’ve never been pleased.) the others at our table had duck, filet, chicken, and flat iron and all loved their meals too.
Solid pours from the bar and really terrific desserts wrapped up our meal.
We have been to Bazin's a number of times over the years, and we've always enjoyed it. This time here were our choices:
-The Parmesan flatbread - this was fantastic: super tasty, baked just right, and a delight.
- The Branzino fish - nicely prepared and a treat. The skin on the fish was a little much, but we worked around it.
- The Shrimp Fettuccini - very well-made, though the shrimp (while large) were not as flavorful as they could have been. I personally would have liked a little more kick to the dish.
- The Key Lime Pie - the was the disappointment of the night. I get key lime pie every chance I get, and often at fine restaurants. Bazin's pie was at best a 3/10. The crust was way too thick - and it was dry as could be. And the pie filling was nowhere near creamy enough nor tart enough to pop with a lime flavor. I expect better.
If you want to catch Covid, here's the place for you. The place was packed with people and no safe distance between tables. They operate their business like its pre- pandemic times. We didn't want to catch covid, so we left after a couple of minutes. If you want fine dining during pandemic times, go to Blend 111 next door. We weren't able to get a table there so we went to 2941, another great place that knows how to keep diners spaced out.
Our favorite place!
We had a great meal at Bazins. The food was outstanding and our service was great.
Bazins is our go to place! We love celebrating birthdays, anniversaries and all special occasions there. The food and service were amazing, as always!
Great dinner celebrating my twins 21st birthday. The food was scrumptious (as always!) and the service was perfectly attentive and timed. Always great to see Julie and Patrick… they run a top-notch operation.
Food was very good as always. Our server, Jeremy, was very knowledgable and an absolute delight.
Great experience! Good drinks, appetizers and main course.
We all ordered burgers and took over 30 minutes.
Guac and chips lacked onion, garlic, lime and salt 😩
The kids were watching a tv show on my wife’s phone
The table next to us(6 loud teens and adults) had the audacity to ask us to turn the movie down.
Mind you, I couldn’t hear what my kids were watching bc their teens were so loud and coughing
Great New Years celebration
Wish I had realized that it was a fixed menu beforehand — probably my fault for not looking closer. I would not have chosen any of the three entrees. Having said that, my husband chose the Chilean sea bass which was delicious and we wound up switching where he took my short ribs and I ate the fish. The lollipop lamb chops and mushroom soup appetizers were excellent. I had the salted caramel tart which is my usual pick, and it didn’t disappoint. My husband had the Apple crostata which he enjoyed (I did not taste it because I was full and had enough apple desserts during the holiday season.). Our waiter was great (as they always are).
All in all, we enjoyed our New Year’s Eve dinner at Bazins and will definitely return in the future.
Went here for an early New Years Eve dinner with some friends. Great menu for the night and we all loved our meals. Service was perfect, very attentive without being overbearing. We will definitely be visiting again in 2022!
Excellent experience we enjoyed the pasta dishes and the rockfish
Our server was fantastic along with the food! It made for a wonderful family experience.
I had high expectations based on friends recommendations. I was slightly disappointed when we were seated so close to other diners. Would prefer to have been spaced further out. The Branzino dish was flavorful however the fish was definitely on the small side. Slightly disappointed with the portion size of the fish. Also, the service was great except we had to ask for water, and when they poured it, the server seemed to be aggravated to do so. It was also very loud and hard to hear the conversation at my own table. With the many choices of fine dining out, not sure I’ll be back.
Our meal at Bazins was excellent on every front. We were sat promptly at our reservation time, the service was impeccable and the food was outstanding.
It was a memorable holiday meal.
Food and service were great, but given COVID concerns, it was *way* too crowded. The tables were quite close together and people at any one table were only a foot or two away from people at other tables. Staff consistently wore masks, but almost none of the customers wore masks, which made the closely-spaced tables an even bigger health concern.
I may get take-out from Bazin's, but I'm not eating in the restaurant again until COVID is really over (if that ever happens).
Excellent Service, appetizers were delicious and came quickly. Flatiron Steak was as tender and tasty as any I've ever had. Excellent location, ambiance and quality of food and drink. We will be back.
Delicious fish dishes and appetizers excellent
First time going here and decided to try it for my husbands birthday. It did not disappoint. The food was absolutely fabulous! The short ribs were so delicious. I highly recommend getting them for dinner. We have already decided we are going back for their happy hour before the end of the year!
Great place, as always. Got seated in a great spot. Food and wine, superb. I only wished it wasn’t as loud. My out of town friends love it!
Great champagne selection
Excellent food, drinks, atmosphere and service, heard about it for years, glad we took trek from McLean
Seabass is so good.
Despite forewarning, there was no acknowledgment of or consideration of hearing handicap. Staff was flippantly dismissive. And the noise level was nearly unbearable for even the able bodied.
Bazin's always delivers! Wonderful setting and great food. Our service was exceptional. Highly recommend.
Bazins on Church never disappoints. I like the ambiance, if you are looking for quiet this is not your place. I happen to like the energy and vibe. The food is great and service pretty consistent.
Excellent service, our meals were outstanding and love the holiday decor! Perfect night
We had Dave for our waiter again & once again, he was marvelous! I brought 2 friends, and we had an amazing experience. The wine was a perfect pairing with our meals. Once again, the sea bass was also perfection! We had 4 different desserts and just plain indulged. Dave allowed us the right amount of time for check in's & steered us in the right direction with our evening choices. Just a lovely time all around to kick off the holiday season! Ambiance was incredibly warming & inviting!!
I think it’s a gem of a restaurant. Great food, wonderful staff, casual chic cuisine.
Meeting up w/ relatives we had seen in years!!
My husband and I visit Bazin’s every couple weeks. It’s our neighborhood go to. The food is amazing and they take great care in preparing gluten-free food (celiac safe!).
This was our second time dining at Bazin's . The Thanksgiving menu was excellent and a good value.
Had Traditional Thanksgiving Dinner. Very nice presentation and service.
Food was delicious, ambience was upscale but not stuffy, cocktails were delightful and wait staff was extremely gracious. Will definitely be back, and thank you for helping us enjoy a holiday meal.
Put celebrating Birthday on reservation and told server about event and NOBODY did ANYTHING to celebrate the special occasion. Ver disappointed and will not be going back. Do not waste your time if you are celebrating something special!!!!
As always, the food was wonderful - and it was so nice to see both Julie and Patrick as well as all the staff who feel like family. Happy Thanksgiving!
The oysters appetizer is still superb, as was the lamb shank main course. For those of us with hearing aids, the noise level of a full house was challenging.
