Never disappointed .
Love the $20 Lunch Menu. Very good selections. I get together several time a Month at Bazin's with Friends.
Had wanted to try Bazin's for a long time, but we never seem to get over to that side of town.
Many friends have recommended Bazin's so made it a point to try it for our Anniversary.
We went on a Sunday, and was very pleased with the experience. Will return again soon.
Good people, service, food.
The food, as always, was outstanding. The service was not up to Bazin's customary standard. Our waiter did his job, but was pretty offhand. Bazin's is not the sort of place where one expects the bill to be plopped down before dessert is even finished.
Food was very good, and they had a nice selection of wines by the glass. Will definitely eat here again.
Sea Bass made me sick. Reported to restaurant with no response
Always a great choice. Our waiter was terrific, the food delicious, and the salted caramel tart divine. While it is a bit more expensive for everyday dining, we love it enough to come back regularly.
We’ve always had excellent experiences when we’ve died here. I had the crab cakes tonight. Superb
We had a double date night at Bazins and it was a blast! The food was terrific (risotto spot on! iron flank steak perfectly cooked; short rib excellent; pasta filling and tasty.) Service was good (not excellent) because they were so busy. This is a neighborhood gem and we will be back. Some great celebrity spotting as well. A fun night.
The Server, Oscar, was the best part of the dinner. He was very attentive to our every needs. The food was outstanding. The special cocktails were perfectly made
Fabulous!! I've been a dozen times and always had a wonderful experience. The food is exceptional and the ambiance is a perfect very nice neighborhood feel. Service is usually very good, but could be more attentive at times. Wonderful wine list!
We weren't super hungry so ended up splitting several apps- we loved the short rib quesadilla, and enjoyed the crab spring roll, spring salad, and lobster tacos- all were tasty! We'll definitely be back to try more of the entrees.
A group of us had lunch. Some of us had the beet salad and loved it. We had the snacks—pistachios and the ricotta cheese with fig on Cristina—both very 😋
This was my least favorite visit to Bazins. Food was overly sauced and lacking in flavor. Salads lacked presentational appeal. Food was fine, but not up to usual standards
We had a delightful evening w friends. We will come back.
Ordered the duck/foia gras ravioli entree for $23 to share with another person. There were 5 silver dollar size so we had no idea what really was inside. Couldn’t taste the meat. The Marsala sauce was purple - very unappetizing. Not worth the price.
Crab and corn chowder flavor good with a few chunks of crab and corn...liquid thin (with chives) mostly what filled the bowl...no comparison to say Passion Fish.
We loved everything except the noise level. Lowering the noise would improve he ambience.
Unfortunately, we had to cancel at the last minute so did not go to the restaurant.
Bazin’s never disappoints. Sunday Jazz brunch featured really good live jazz from a 5 person combo. Mimosas were delicious as was the crab Benedict and my wife’s quiche. Great place for Sunday brunch, or any meal.
My husband and I went for a date night. We haven’t been here for about 5 years, but remembered it was good. We were seated right next to the wall and the other side was another two top. It was very crammed, but I get places want to maximize their space. We ordered a bottle of wine which was $50. The cheapest was $48. Anyhow when it was brought to the table it was a twist off top. I suppose this is my fault for ordering it, but $50 for a twist top...really!
We ordered a fig app and it was good. I ordered a salad and it was incredibly bland. My husband’s soup was better. We were not offered pepper (none was on the table) and that would have helped with my salad. Our meals came out. My husband’s hanger steak was just ok and my salmon was also ok. We were hungry so we ate it and it wasn’t bad just not great. It was not $25-$40 per dish.
We ordered two desserts. The key lime tasted old and like it had been in the freezer for a while. The sundae was not great either. I believe they were $12 each and maybe worth $7-$8 each but not $12.
Our waiter, while nice was not around a lot. We saw him maybe 4 times which were to put our orders in and to get the wine.
Overall we were disappointed. If we are going to spend $160 before tip for two it should be a better meal. We could have gone to any other number of places for less and had the same caliber of food and service.
The food was very good, the service excellent, the wine as well.
Haven’t eaten here in quite a while as it is hard to get a reservation. Ate later than normal but enjoyed it immensely. Quiet and no kids made for a very enjoyable experience
Matt was an excellent waiter
Bazin's is one of my all-time favorites. I order the Maple-Miso Glazed Chilean Sea Bass every time I go. My daughter got the veal which was was moist and flavorful, served with a fresh, heaping topping of greens - nice accompaniment.
Kitchen does not seem as careful as they once we're. Service was only ok.
The new menu is excellent, but most importantly, it is prepared and presented beautifully. We have never been disappointed in our many visits, and we will definitely be back.
One concern I do have is that it doesn’t take many filled tables to raise the noise level to an uncomfortable range, particularly when members of your group are wearing hearing aids, as two from our group were. Carpets, window curtains and ceiling sound absorbers would probably help.
Always enjoy having dinner here. Great food at very reasonable prices. It is truly a neighborhood gem.
Great Food! Awesome Service! Wonderful Atmosphere! Perfect Location! Thank You Bazin's on Church for making my Birthday Dinner so Special!
Outstanding brunch. Try the Avacido bread crisps, yummy!
Outstanding food, service, a great dining experience.
Dinner with my daughter and niece. All three entrees were DELICIOUS! Comfort food served up pretty!
Excellent meal with attentive but not intrusive service. We tried the Housemade Rocotta which was excellent...we considered a second order but decided against it. We had the Flat Iron Steak and the Filet Mignon. Both were delicious and cooked to perfection. The side dishes were perfect complements to the steaks. Our waiter was excellent. The appetizer and dinner were perfect.
We ordered the salted caramel tart and the cheesecake. Neither was that great.
We truly enjoyed the appetizer and our dinner but we were not impressed by the desserts.
We plan to return to this lovely restaurant.
I expected the food to wow me from the previous reviews I read and honestly, I thought the food was just okay. The appetizer food portions were tiny... 4 crispy medium shrimp for $13. My crispy chicken with roasted eggplant entree was drowning in sauce. It was way too much. Yeah, I don't think I'll be back to this place.
First time here but we will be back. Good menu, prepared as ordered, outstanding wine list. Noise could be lower.
My second time here and food was disappointing...
My friend had a flat iron Steak and she sent it back because meat wasn't really tender for being medium rare.
I had braised pork ribs and meat was hard to chew.
For $27-30 dollars a dish it shouldn't happen.
The crispy Oyster were very good.
Great overall experience, food & wine was delicious. Great ambience
My guests and I had a great luncheon this past Friday. The food and service were terrific! We will be back and will work on planning a Women's Club luncheon meeting here.
First time there everything was nice and the food was good. Our waiter was very nice and we enjoyed talking to him. I would come back.
Perfect Sunday brunch with good friends in a great place!
