I’ve been to Bazin’s for a few special occasions and they never disappoint. Everything is top notch. This time I tried the crispy oysters and they were delicious! My filet melted in my mouth. It was our anniversary and they gave us complimentary flourless chocolate cake, this is the second time they have given us something complimentary on our anniversary. We can’t wait to go back.
Best food and service we’ve experienced in a long time.
There is never a time that we dine at Bazin’s that it is an all memorable. The service the food and of course the company of other diners made this one extra special. Patrick was kind enough to stop at our table when I let him know it was my dear friends first time dining at the restaurant. To say that they’ll be back and they’ll bring members of their family and other friends is an understatement. Sea bass and strawberry shortcake or something we’re all craving well into today! Until the next time, Patrick and Julie’
The creative pairings and perfect preparation continues at Bazins. What made he evening extra special was the service by Bela! My husband had the Veal Milanese - both crispy and tender served under a delicately dressed mound of greens. I had the gazpacho which was bold and crunchy and topped with avocado and shrimp - might be my new favorite! And the filet with blue cheese potato au gratin never disappoints.
As always, Bazin's overall experience was great. The menu has variety to please everyone. Good service and ambiance. highly recommend.
The four of us enjoyed a leisurely meal that was prepared beautifully!
Wonderful outdoor seating addition! Service was impeccable. Food: delicious, as always!!
Highly Recommend - Food was delicious and service was top-notch!
The food was marvelous. The servers gracious and helpful. The food runners were a bit confused regarding who was receiving what, but we figured it out. As might be expected, the noise level increased as more and more diners arrived. It was definitely worth the drive from Gaithersburg!
First time, won't be our last.
Good food and service!
Patio is lovely. Food very good. Just wish they'd feature more seasonal vegetables. Brussels sprouts in July?
Every portion of the meal was delicious. The service was excellent. They restaurant did a good job at every stage. The tables were also spaced further part than they were pre-pandemic. I was very pleased with everything at the restaurant.
Always such a fantastic, special time at this amazing restaurant- staff and owners pour their hearts into this place and it shows!
Everything was excellent, but as a key lime pie lover, who had tried it everywhere I can find it, this was a pretty bad version. Not much lime, thick pasty filling, and the coconut macaroon crust kind of ruined it. I would replace this on the dessert menu with something else, or adjust the recipe.
Very nice place with good atmosphere. Would go again
As always, the food was great and the service outstanding.
Staff was super attentive and food was amazing!!
Great Vienna neighborhood eatery. Modest menu with good variety. Good fresh food nicely presented and well served.
Even on their patio this restaurant is too noisey. The tuna tartar and the halbut were very godd as was the Chilain sea bass. The waiter neglected to ask if we wantred more coffee but otherwise the service was good. We would go back to this restaurant on nights other than Friday or Saturday,
Went to Bazin's to celebrate my half-birthday. January birthdays generally mean snow, sleet, freezing rain or all of the above, so I started the half-birthday tradition a few years ago to avoid all that. Reserved a table outside to take advantage of uncharacteristically not hot or humid weather. Noise level wasn't an issue. I got the crispy oysters and the blue cheese flat iron steak with herb fries. My wife had the scallops and shrimp linguine. My brother-in-law had the potato and onion ravioli and the sea bass. My sister-in-law had the veal Milanese. Everyone loved their dishes. For dessert, everyone but me had the strawberry shortcake. I had the fried apple pie which turned out to be very disappointing. I don't recommend ordering it. Service was very good, especially our server Jonathan. Anyway, it's a really good restaurant and this wasn't our first time.
Always great food and love the gluten free options! Great service too!
This was our first time dining at Bazin's since the beginning of the pandemic.
Great to see that the food and service are still so good!
Menu is great but the actual food delivered was just ok. Parking situation is terrible and nonexistent for seniors/handicapped persons (probably a violation).
Food and service were on point! Always a pleasure.
Nice place! The food and service is better than ever.
The food was fine and the place was very relaxed. My primary complaint is the speed with which the staff seemed to move us through our meal. I don't think I've ever been in a sit down restaurant where the food and drinks came so fast and furious. We were seated at 7:55 and the table was cleared by 8:45. Appetizers arrived literally within 3 minutes of ordering; and the appetizer plates were swapped out for the main within 2 minutes of being finished. It was a little disconcerting. It's not such a fine line between neglectful and over-zealous service. Just let your diners take a few breathes between bites.
Lots of gluten free on the menu - my friend is allergic to nuts and they were very helpful and accommodating - attentive service - excellent food!
Since Covid restrictions have been lifted, Bazin's took full advantage of that by adding many more tables and therefore diners to its outdoor option. Unfortunately, that condition was not conducive to a pleasant dining experience. At 8:30 PM on a Friday, the decibel level may have been 9. The waiter was running around like a chicken without a head. He checked in for a second to see if we wanted another glass of wine and how the food was and that was about it. The food was good but couldn't be enjoyed because the noise was unbearable. We won't be returning any time soon.
Bazins is our favorite in Vienna!!!
Service was great, food fantastic!
This place is always outstanding!! The restaurant wasn’t even a third full and dinner took a long time to receive. At least an hour. You know what would have helped….. BREAD!!! Please start serving fabulous bread again. BTW, no restaurant is using the COVID excuse for not serving bread any longer. (that is what our waiter told us) Always delicious food & desserts!!
The crispy branzino and glazed miso sea bass were lovely. I ordered one and my husband ordered the other and we ended up trading. Good sized portions and a nice mature atmosphere. Attentive and friendly service. Can’t wait to go back.
From the moment that you walk into the door until the time you finally leave, Bazin’s is an experience you won’t forget! A long time favorite that keeps getting better, it was the perfect choice for a birthday and Father’s Day celebration. Patrick and Julie and their staff extraordinare will have you thinking about your next visit before you finished your first course!
Two of us had the Chilean Sea Bass and two had the Pork Chop Special. Tiramisu and creme brûlée were yummy. Great meal, great service. Love this place!
Dinner as our 3 main meals and appetizers were delicious but dessert was a big let down. Did not like fried apple pie nor was strawberry short cake very good….Fried apple pie seemed a neat idea but should have had apples not dried diced candied apples…not good at all.
We hadn’t been out since before covid and this place was recommended by a friend for our anniversary. We had a 7:30 reservation. They were running behind when we got there so we waited 30 mins for our table. The bartender was great and we ordered some drinks. So far so good. We were finally seated and had had ample time to look at the menu already so were ready to order. It should’ve been a clue when our waitstaff never arrived and we had to flag one down. He told us he wasn’t our waiter but took our order anyway so we thought we were good. A bit later I noticed that people who had been seated after us were already halfway through their meals and no one had been by our table since our order was placed. I looked at my watch and it was 5mins to 9pm. An hour and a half after our reservation we still didn’t have any food. Since no one was around to flag down and the 2 front desk staff were just standing around since no one was coming in, I went up to them to ask where our food was. That seemed to get the ball rolling and our food arrived just before 9pm. My sea bass was good, but my husband’s steak with fries was inedible. The steak was over cooked and the fries were cooked with rancid oil. I thought he might have been overreacting until I tried one. They were on the soggy side and not only lacking flavor but actually gross because of the oil. They were also missing the garlic sauce. The restaurant told us they were short staffed and that “there was something with the oil”. I get that things are difficult post covid, but if you can’t provide a service then don’t sell it. No one wins. And whatever you do, if you know an ingredient is bad then don’t cook with it!! We were excited to try a new restaurant but will not be going back.
Very good food, but the noise level was so high that for much of the dinner we couldn’t hear ourselves talk.
When we called to add a 9th person to our reservation we were told know. However, when we arrived at Bazins the manager agreed to increase our reservation to 9 people vice 8. Thank-you!!!
Excellent food and service!
The drinks were great. Excellent wait staff. The Flat Iron Steak was a very poor cut of beef. Fries were excellent. Shrimp and Scallop pasta was superb.
