Bazille - Nordstrom NorthPark Center Ratings and Reviews
Four guys went there for our monthly night out. It's fair to say that everyone was blown away by the quality of the food and the value. Also a very fine bartender who made quality drinks at a good price. Not many customers on a Tuesday night meant the room was quiet enough for conversation, definitely a plus.
Nice food, but interminable wait for ordering, food, coffee and dessert left us cold.
A leisurely lunch is fine, but 1 1/2 hours starting at 11:30 seemed endless.
We had to skip dessert because it wasn't served until we were paying the bill to leave.
Waiter said the kitchen was jammed, and we also saw manager apologizing to other customers.
Not enough staff? Won't be back soon.
As always, the salads at Bazille are wonderful and delicious, and we love them! Service was spotty -- hard to get refills on iced tea and water, server disappeared for awhile, asked if we liked avocado without telling us there was an upcharge, and even though we told him at the start that we would need separate checks, he delivered one check and became annoyed when we asked for 3 (and slammed the checks down on the table). We tipped well (20%) but service wasn't at that level. However, the food was good and it was fun to catch up with friends!
Nordstrom's Bazille restaurant has the wonderful entrée salads that we all know and love, and they are as delicious as ever! Fresh ingredients and light dressings make for a winning combination. Service, however, is sporadic. Our server quickly came to our table and brought us iced teas but forgot to bring sweeteners until we asked a couple of times. Then when we ordered our salads, he asked "do you like avocado?" and I said yes, only to find out when the bill came that there was an upcharge for avocado because it wasn't included in the salad. Trying to pay was difficult because the server was nowhere in sight. So, there are a few things to be worked out service-wise, but again the salads were delish!
We eat here often. They bring you fresh warm bagets with butter to begin and there tea is this peach steeped tea, its really unique. You wouldn't expect much from a mall restaurant but this place is awesome. I ordered the crab stack which is one of my favorites. Its all white crab, avacado, mango and cucumber all chopped up and served with toast points. This is filling and so fresh with the crab and mango chunks, its an appetizer for two but a meal for one. I also love the angel hair pasta with chicken and spinach, it comes with spashetti and this amazing butter sauce so when you mix all the dish together its creates the amazing butter chicken spinach taste like no other and its alot of food, so you can be split. They also have steak frites which is really yummy. The steak has alot of seasoning and then the crsip small frites make an excellent meal. Definitely a great place and thier food rivals any stand alone dallas restaurant.
The food is always tasty. Our waitress was very nice and knowledgeable, but she vanished for a lengthy period of time before taking our orders---we had a reservation for 12:30, but seated at 1:15 at a table that really was too small for our party of 5. and then we had to wait for our waitress--one of our party had to order her lunch to go because of the delay.
Great lunch with good choices of salads, sandwiches or hot entrees. The Asian Chicken Salad was very good. The dessert choices were somewhat limited, but the chocolate cake was great. The waiter didn't seem to want to bring it with ice cream, but he finally agreed to add the ice cream on the plate with the cake and it was definitely a large enough dessert to share!
Food was delicious and server was attentive. However, in my reservation I had asked for a seat by the windows and instead was sat in the bar area, which was terribly noisy so we couldn't hear each other speak. So having an advance VIP reservation didn't help here.
My husband and I were in Dallas for the weekend and wanted an upscale dinner close to where we were staying that was easy to get into at the last minute. We had eaten at the Nordstrom's Restaurant in Houston before and this was very similar. The service was quick and very professional and we thought there was a nice variety on the menu of both food and wine. My husband ordered the seared Tuna salad and I ordered the Crab Macaroni and Cheese. We both thought that the food was outstanding! We thought that the decor was lovely and were able to have a nice conversation and a relaxing and delicious meal after a busy day!
We took our niece for lunch there after our personal shopping appointment. I have eaten here numerous times and have never been disappointed before this visit. Service started out great but then everything moved super slow. It was too slow! We ordered an appetizer before our entrees. When out entrees came out our table was still full with the plates from that as well as bread plates so no room for the entree plates. I ordered the salmon risotto and the salmon was way over cooked. I did not want to complain as we were celebrating her birthday and this was her day. We also were surprised that there was no mention of her birthday at all. It was listed on our reservation and also again when we checked in. Most likely will find another option to dine next time I am at NorthPark.
