Bazaar Meat by José Andrés Ratings and Reviews
From start to finish, this was an exceptional meal and experience. Our server Gerardo was highly attentive and was easily able to add in an extra course into our tasting menu. Lou, the sommelier, spoke with us, looked at our menu, and put together wine offerings that complemented and heightened each course, and he explained the reasoning and the character of the pairings in a way that enhanced everything. The steak was cooked perfectly for the cut of meat and the bagels & lox cone was a perfect bite, but the cured meats with Catalan bread and tomato spread stole the show. Phenomenal dining experience.
Bazaar Meat is one of those places you have to experience at least once! We went with the pricier of the tasting menus ($185/person) which presented about 7-8 different selections that were all fantastic. Oddly, the main dish - a nice cut of wagyu steak - was probably my least favorite. I found this medium rare steak to be a bit tougher than I expected at a place like this. Even still, I thought it was a fantastic experience with some unique menu options you won't find elsewhere. Easily one of the top 5 overall dining experiences I've ever had.
Food was quite good as was preparation and serving. Wine and cocktail list was impressive. One issue was too much worcestershire on the beef tartar (mixed at table) but we were quickly sent a new order. Meal is expensive, but as a hot new strip restaurant that is to be expected. Overall a great place for a special occasion meal on a Vegas trip.
Unbelievable food. Unbelievable service. We had an amazing experience at Bazaar. Our party of six shared a rib eye and quarter suckling pig with lots of appetizers and sides: the classic tartare, cotton candy foie gras (I mean, COME ON!!!), crab and shrimp cocktail, asparagus, and the whipped potatoes - I think the word “butter” appears in the menu description of this dish three or four times. It is accurate. I will be back whenever I am in Vegas.
Best meal I've ever had by far. We tried most everything. Kobe, Wagyu, roasted suckling pig, seafood tower, jamon iberico, and much much more. Everything was amazing. The service was sensational, as is the energetic ambiance. I have a new must-visit for every trip to Vegas. Special shout out to the manager Panos who made a perfect night even better. I honestly can't wait to come back to Vegas just to have another incredible meal at Bazaar Meat!
It was our first time here and we Love love love bazaar meat! Walking in and smelling the astoundingly amazing aromas coming off the fire pit and then seeing the copious amounts of smiles, the different cuts of meat on display and the friendly staff was worth the visit before we even ordered! Pano the manager, Sunday and the countless attentive waiters that waited on us during our late dinner were and are amazing. They made us feel like we were family and celebrated guests the entire way. Telling us what they recommend and stories behind the dishes they were serving. Everything we ate was delicious and we had a lot to eat. Before we even ordered they gave us a run down on what and how to order. We ordered a near 2 LB wagyu angus beef steak and they explained how they cook it and how it was worth the wait and it was beyond what we could imagine in terms of taste and level of finish. Pano the manager specifically made our entire night by stopping by and taking the time to tell us about what he enjoys and some of his history in the business. If there was a possibility to give this place more than 5 stars we would, because the food was perfect, the Spanish tapas style eating was playful and perfect for date night, the staff were the most friendly and helpful (Thank you Sunday for being amazing!!!!), and we felt like family. We will definitely be back and I hope everyone gets a chance to experience this place.
This is what a once great restaurant that has basically given up looks like.
I was at Bazaar Meat a year ago and really loved it. A year later, the food and the service have gone downhill in a way I haven't seen many top-end restaurants deteriorate.
There are lots of rumours the place is shutting down. It feels like it's a mercy killing at this point.
For the money, there are countless better options in Vegas now.
AH-MAZING! We couldn’t decide between the top two tasting menus. Our server told us she could mesh the two and charge us $200 per person. It was absolutely the most amazing meal either my (chef) husband or myself have ever had. Go here! Eat everything you can get your hands on. You will not regret it.
Booked in good fashion, got the worst table possible. Table was noticeably wobbly and was actually broken and had to be moved after we got served our appetizer. Did not get a refill of water until after we received the bill. When ordering a good meat choice it came back so rare it was horrible and asked for medium, not raw. I've had a way better experience and better quality than this place. Will not be going back.
My only issue was with our hostess/server. After the main course was brought to us, she spaced on our drinks. She didn't bring me my drink that I ordered with dinner until I was almost finished with the meal. Our server/hostess spent a lot of time with a suit in the restaurant. I suspect she was being trained. I'm not going to blame her if she's new. Everyone has to start somewhere. When I return I will specifically be requesting her so she can redeem herself. I'm a firm believer in giving second chances and that everyone has a bad day.
I had a bad service experience at a former Vegas restaurant that was an absolute gem. The server redeemed himself the next time we had him. Turned out it was the last night the restaurant was open. I left him an almost 50% tip. He redeemed himself and I felt bad for him because I loved that restaurant. Their lasagna was to die for! Fortunately he was just reassigned to another Caesar's restaurant so he wasn't out of work. Redeem yourself after a bad service experience and I will not be a George, but an Abe or a Lincoln or in my case for that redemption a Grant. I almost broke into tears over that restaurant closing. I also shook our server's hand as well.
Don't waste your money... Went here for a business dinner and for the money you are paying the service was terrible and food was just ok. All of the meat everyone ordered was way under cooked, people even had to send it back and it was flavorless. All the sides they said you could share with 2 to 3 people and were barely enough for 2... Left us wanting to stop at Mcdonalds for a cheeseburger.
We've heard wonderful things about this place and I absolutely love Jose Andres. My brother and his wife said their experience here was amazing. I think we must have caught them on a bad night unfortunately. The salmon tartar was fine, was not spectacular. My husband said his steak was great, but sadly my octopus was not good at all. I've eaten much octopus in my day and sadly this one did not come close to reaching expectations. Thus, I'd stick with meat based dishes and dessert.
The meal was underwhelming and the experience was unfulfilling, not to mention that the food itself was average, the portions left us wanting a real steakhouse, or just McDonald’s after we left.
Premium prices for below average, flavorless dishes.
Bazaar Meat is great steak and meat restaurant hidden in the SLS hotel. The meat appetizer is a must with aged prosciutto, boar and other aged meats. Menu is a bit confusing, but the food is excellent. Cooking the steaks to perfection takes longer than most other restaurants, but the wonderful wine and drink selection appeases one. Must try restaurant for meat lovers without a budget.
Bazaar in LA is the place to go--not Vegas. The waiter tried to push the family style meat on us and my cousins from Europe just wanted the entree. The waiter tried to tell us they didn't even have separate steaks. Our seats were not the best--so no ambiance to me at all. The candy cane fois gras is better in LA as with other dishes. We tried to share some dishes--all weren't the best--I had a broken glass for my drink from the bar and all they did was get me another glass--as I did not cut my lip--they let it go as if it was nothing or asked me how I DID IT. So, our food was good but when you add it all up I would go to any other Meat/steak house in Vegas and not this one. In Vegas I expect the best and am willing to pay--but for $1200 for 6 people it was just so so and with the waiter who lied about individual steaks till I saw them on menu, the broken glass and lack of the I'm sorry--glad your lip wasn't cut as then we would have to do something attitude--well, not worth it.
This was hands down the best dining experience I have ever had. Service was impeccable. From the first moment you walk in it's engaging in a new and different way. From the interiors to the multi kitchen concept, it all seemed flawless. Our waiter was amazing and attentive and helped us navigate and craft a menu that was right for us from their vast selections. Airbread, cocktails, scallops, fritters, Caesar, cauliflower steak, wagyu, ribeye- it was all melt in your mouth amazing. Once in a lifetime experience.
