Bazaar Meat by José Andrés Ratings and Reviews
This was a vastly overrated restaurant if you know about food. The meat was decent but the starters would have been better in a supermarket party pack. Having eaten in Spain the tapas was not comparable. The side of potato straw was a joke. You can get a packet of crisps in the UK for 50p that tastes the same and does not cost $12! Pork skin chicharron was inedible and sent back as were most of the sides which were overly chargrilled. Don't believe the hype. Staff were polite and courteous but expected more from the restaurant manager who declared this the best restaurant in the city!
As soon as you walk in the Resturant the smell of hardwood charcoal is amazing.
The different stations are so interesting and impressive. The waiter explained the entire facility and menu very well.
The cured meats are the best I’ve ever experienced along with the cauliflower steaks, steak and fish from the ovens and hardwood Argentine style BBQ.
Beautiful dining room, great service. Wine list is extensive but constructed with very few bottles under $100. Tapas were underwhelming and didn’t even compare to the same dishes at the Bazaar in LA. Steaks are wildly expensive and favor smoke over Char and seasoning. Potato purée was the only dish I would order again.
We've been to many of José Andrés' restaurants and LOVE, LOVE, LOVE them all! Local friends joined us for dinner. Having been once a long time ago, he was so excited he started ordering before we sat down. (Oysters!) Rib eye was FABULOUS and cooked to perfection and brussel sprouts yummy. Skip salad to save room for desserts! (Yes! Taste them all!)
Restaurant is great for groups or special occasions. The food is absolutely amazing and service was excellent as expected. I could say try this or that but everything is so good it’s hard to say try “this or that.” Try everything!! This was the best meal I have ever had!
Cotton Candy Foie Gras: 5.0
Bagels & Lox Cone: 3.5
Potato Puree: 5.0 (Perfect but don't let it get cold, the texture changes maybe because the butter solidifies)
Secreto Iberico de Bellota: 4.9
American Wagyu with Rosemary Mustard: 3.5 (Too salty)
Kobe-Hyogo Prefecture: 4.8
Magic Mojito: 4.0
LN2: 3.0 (Great presentation but the taste is subpar)
Desserts: 3.5 (Dessert is not their forte)
Nick and the rest of the dining provided excellent service. He habitually walked by to make sure that we have everything we needed.
This restaurant has become one of my favorite restaurants in the world. I am astounded it is not Michelin rated. Beyond the outstanding food, our dining experience has been enhanced by the exquisite service provided to us by Joseph. He was our server when we dined there on December 5. At our more recent celebration of a friend's birthday on January 15th, he was our Sommelier. His attention to detail and his explanations of the dishes and order of service makes it all worth the price.
We had an outstanding meal here. As impressive as the food (all the ribeyes are spectacularly tender and tasty) the service was remarkable. One of my fellow dinners commented to our table that he wished the meat was a little more cooked (whereas everyone else at our table thought it was perfect) and a passing staff member overheard the comment and took the initiative to remedy the situation. Very impressive. Highly rrecommend for an enjoyable evening with a large group.
The tapas were very exciting: i.e. foie gras cotton candy but they were very small and left a not enough taste, caling for more. They’re not tapas, they’re bouchees...
The fish, the turbot was outstanding
The pig was okay
The main course were huge
They should balance things out with the starters
The decor is beautiful, and the atmosphere very pleasant
There was nothing wrong with our meal and a lot right with it. The service was fantastic and the wine/food recommendations were top notch. We did the Jose tasting menu. We went in expecting a run of the mill, but great, steakhouse, and were pleasantly surprised to get all those creative and inventive meals you'd expect from Andres too.
I was really looking forward to dinner at the restaurant but upon arrival realised the music was very loud making it difficult to talk to my colleagues. The food was ok, if not a little difficult to choose all I wanted is a steak and chips - it ain’t that hard. Needless to say I won’t be going again
The environment is amazing and dining is excellent.
The prices are sky high but the rarity of some of I'd like to go the meats may justify it.
This is great for once /year get together or high level business meeting to impress.
I may go more often without a special occasion needed. It came to $250/person
Our business dinner at Bazaar Meat by José Andrés was one of my worst value-for-money meal ever. We paid $800 for a party of five, with an OK Californian wine, pretty good meat (I know many places across the globe where meat is way better though) and Papas Canarias potatoes that were supposed to be the best thing ever. Isn’t it time to start showing respect to your customers José?
Bazaar is a terrific, if very expensive experience. It's oddly positioned in the back of the SLS Casino, which used to be the Sahara. Because of this, and ceilings that are lower than one is accustomed to at fancy Vegas restaurants, the actual space feels a little tight. It's also an incredibly long restaurant, which is a bit strange.
The food is very very good though and I highly recommend it. The cuts are generally quite large, so you can get away with family style dining. Our group of six adult men shared three steaks. We'd done more in the past but found that 3-4 is about right.
The Oregon 28 day aged Strip with miso mustard sauce is the best steak I've ever had. I would come back just for it as I've never tasted anything like it. Their cocktails are expensive but unique and pretty large.
This was my fourth or fifth visit to Bazaar and it certainly won't be my last.
Finally a place that understands it all in Vegas. Nice bar when u walk in. Pleasant tables and booths. And then the food. Totally what u can hope for and then some. And the waiter was excellent, the sommelier and manager actually take pride in what they do. Tip: let all the mediocre lackluster jokers who say they are in the hospitality business and think that a plastic smile and no interest in your client make u worthy of a nice service fee go by this place and see how it really can work! Top honors for Jose andres for putting a top place and team together! Chapeau
We stayed at SLS to kick off our vacation. Of course, we eat at a top 5 steakhouse. We had the classic tasting menu. It was amazing. All bites were unique and delicious. The cotton candy foie gras, chicken croquettes, medium rare steak and key lime tart were standouts.
I think the ambiance has elements of being interesting but it feels more like a conference room. Really didn’t detract to much from our meal.
Our meat captain, Adrian, was excellent. Everything came out delicious. Just fantastic! Highly recommend
Excellent dining experience overall. The gazpacho shot is a must-try. I also thought the skirt steak and Catalan spinach (with apples, pine nuts, raisins, and shallots) made a delicious combo. Beautiful decor and great staff, who really made sure I knew they cared about my experience. I was also offered some samples of carved meats to try. I have dined at several Jose Andres restaurants in Washington, DC, and this one definitely did not disappoint.
This restaurant has everything. The decor is amazing together with the atmosphere. The presentation of the dishes and the quality of the food is unsurpassed. The service as the best it can be. One of our passions is eating at fabulous restaurants, we are foodies who travel around the world just to eat. This Las Vegas restaurant is one of the best we’ve been to in the world. If you want to have the perfect dining experience in every sense of the word, this is the place.
A true fine dining, world class experience. Impeccable service, knowledgeable and considerate staff, as well as great food. If you need more than what this restaurant can offer, you're going to find yourself consistently wanting. Relax, enjoy, and realize exceptional service means they know what they are doing.
