Bazaar Meat by José Andrés Ratings and Reviews
We did a tasting menu which I highly advise. But not one of the three they handed us as options. They listened to what we wanted an gave us a hybrid of two of them. Have never had that happen before. Highlights include the cotton candy fois, the mushrooms, the cauliflower, the ribeye, and obviously the wagu with a specific way if eating it. The service was great.
Our server was really good and the som was great but the steak we selected was a third the size after it was brought to our table. we picked a steak that was 2.25 lbs at 75.00 per pound, we left the table still hungry and wondering what happened to the steak we selected I have never seen a steak shrink that much especially the bone? I don’t believe it was the same steak and we should of needed a box for the left overs? The sides were very small too but the price was huge
Excelente lugar... la comida es simplemente espectacular! Hemos visitado varios restaurantes de este Chef y siempre son de la más alta calidad. Mi recomendación es pedir platos para compartir, así puedes probar de todo y no quedarte con ganas de algo! ESPECTACULAR! 100% recomendable
Came to Vegas for a girls weekend, this was dinner for our last evening there and it was fantastic. The service was excellent, our server Eric was awesome, he was really knowledgeable and had a such a good personality and presented our options so well. Our sommelier helped us pick out a delicious wine that complemented our meal and we also had these cool lemon slushie cocktails they made tableside with nitrogen, they were like a really strong palate cleanser between courses. We chose the Jose's way tasting menu. It was fantastic, the cotton candy foie gras was so unexpectedly delicious, melted in your mouth. Most of the courses are one bite items, but the ribeye is a good portion for each person and it was so good and cooked perfectly. This is definitely expensive dinner ($185 pp), not including drinks, but its an experience and I was really happy we went.
Very ant climactic. My friend and guest is used to the one in LA where they had an amazing dessert bar. This location in Vegas does not.The food was hit or miss. The wine list by the glass was definitely disappointing. Overall I’ve had much better experiences in other locations so for the hype and the price I would look at elsewhere. A definite ‘meh’ (ps I have dined at some of the top restaurants in the world as well as Las Vegas so I have things to compare it to.)
What a meal! The "Jose's Way" tasting menu was excellent from start to finish, with a built-in main course featuring one of the best steaks (Wagyu ribeye) that I've eaten in my life. Service coordinated by Sunday was above and beyond outstanding. Christopher, the Assistant General Manager, instantly made me feel more-than-welcome and graciously provided a tour after dinner, explaining the features and capabilities of this amazing restaurant. I will definitely be back next time I'm in Vegas, and I'm spreading the word to my traveling friends. This was an incredibly enjoyable dining experience!
The only disappointment was the cauliflower steak side dish. It was not charred, but just plain burned. The roasted peppers confit side was AMAZING, as was the Chateaubriand. Cotton candy fois gras was a great combination we weren't expecting! Great wine, great atmosphere.
Wonderful meal! We started with the ‘cotton candy’ foie gras then added a charcuterie plate that was house made... we also enjoyed the olives and smoked oysters. The piece de resistant was the 2.5# Rosewood Ranch T-bone steak. Their cooking method for steaks was so unique. It started at the top of the grill until it reached 90 degrees, which took 30-40 minutes. Then, it was placed on the hot grill for finishing. The flavor, the marbling, the taste... exceptional! Our server was attentive and very knowledgeable. The experience was just what we wanted and hoped for. It’s a great restaurant.
One of the best dining experiences ever!
We love coming here and this is our third time.
Our Meat Captain was Elias and he is phenomenal in every way. He is the best server we’ve ever had here and we’ll be requesting him upon our return. We’ve never really cared for the two servers we had on our last two visits but because the atmosphere and food is so amazing we come back anyway. Now we have Elias and will be back more often!
Thank you Elias!!
BTW the food is some of the most beautiful and delicious food you’ll ever have the privilege of eating.
This is the type of experience that gives our city a poor reputation. Further, this is a meal that you only have once and tell ten friends how bad the evening was. The rest tends to take care of itself and by the look and service of the place it's on its last supper.
The wood grill smells nice though apparently adding the heat from it to the steak is an extra charge?
The food was very average to disappointing. There are far better restaurants at a similar or lower price point. The ambiance and decor is very nice, but does not make up for the food. My table ordered the sausage and Denver steak. Both were flavorless and tough. Our side of potatoes was similarly bland with an unpleasant texture. The Manhattan we ordered was very weak as well. Please pick somewhere else to enjoy your evening.
We arr huge fans of Jose Andres. We have eaten at MiniBar in DC and we were amazed there. This is totally on par and we were given truly an experience of a life time here. We are total foodies and appreciate all the efforts of all the moving parts of this dining experience. We did the Joses Way tasting menu which was PERFECT. We also did the wine pairing. Iys expensive but no different than what some spend on a show or gambling. Lou and Joe were our Somolier and Server and completely outstanding. This team delivers Joses vision perfectly.
The family continued its Thanksgiving tradition by dining at Bazaar Meats. This was not my lady and I first time dining there, but it was a first for the rest of the family. The dinner from appetizer to dessert, was thoroughly enjoyed by all. The service was spot on without being overbearing. Despite being in a hotel/casino, the restaurant was separated from the casino by a corridor so the casino was not heard. This made for the ability to have family conversations. Lastly, for the type and portions of food served, the meal was an excellent Thanksgiving value.
Two of us splurged for Thanksgiving with the holiday tasting menu. Having had the turbot here a few years back (not at thanksgiving) we both ordered it instead of the turkey. However the restaurant came first with turkey after the initial offerings and we told them we had ordered the turbot. Our server appeared as we were "protesting" and she seemed surprised because she knew we ordered fish, but later explained the kitchen had "extra" turkey..she brought the turbot later, lifted with a spatula off a small serving plate and plopped onto our individual plates already holding stuffing, potatoes, turkey, cranberries, etc. Very awkward for such a fine restaurant. No rolls/bread were served or offered though other tables with the Thanksgiving tasting menu received what may have been the fine chicarron I remember. The turbot was disappointing: bland, barely warm ,literally nothing to it except some bones (in my serving) on the edges and then some even toward the center of the filet...which I had to unpleasantly remove from my mouth with chewed fish. Definitely not the delicious turbot dish or presentation of the past. The turkey, however, was delicious and made up for the insipid fish we were served. They should not even offer turbot next year, rather offer a roast meat that would go with the sides. The traditional thanksgiving sides were great except the green beans were cold! Turkey croquetas were memorable. Creative cocktails and wine are overpriced but fun. Always a great atmosphere here and service was pleasant and uncomplicated except as noted above. Things overall very good but I expect perfection at this restaurant and at this price. If something was wrong with the Turbot at the kitchen level I guess they were obliged to serve the better prepared and better tasting turkey to everyone who ordered the turbot, or diners would have revolted & returned the turbot to the kitchen and ordered something else or the turkey choice for the main on the tasting menu.
From start to finish, this was an exceptional meal and experience. Our server Gerardo was highly attentive and was easily able to add in an extra course into our tasting menu. Lou, the sommelier, spoke with us, looked at our menu, and put together wine offerings that complemented and heightened each course, and he explained the reasoning and the character of the pairings in a way that enhanced everything. The steak was cooked perfectly for the cut of meat and the bagels & lox cone was a perfect bite, but the cured meats with Catalan bread and tomato spread stole the show. Phenomenal dining experience.
Bazaar Meat is one of those places you have to experience at least once! We went with the pricier of the tasting menus ($185/person) which presented about 7-8 different selections that were all fantastic. Oddly, the main dish - a nice cut of wagyu steak - was probably my least favorite. I found this medium rare steak to be a bit tougher than I expected at a place like this. Even still, I thought it was a fantastic experience with some unique menu options you won't find elsewhere. Easily one of the top 5 overall dining experiences I've ever had.
Food was quite good as was preparation and serving. Wine and cocktail list was impressive. One issue was too much worcestershire on the beef tartar (mixed at table) but we were quickly sent a new order. Meal is expensive, but as a hot new strip restaurant that is to be expected. Overall a great place for a special occasion meal on a Vegas trip.
Unbelievable food. Unbelievable service. We had an amazing experience at Bazaar. Our party of six shared a rib eye and quarter suckling pig with lots of appetizers and sides: the classic tartare, cotton candy foie gras (I mean, COME ON!!!), crab and shrimp cocktail, asparagus, and the whipped potatoes - I think the word “butter” appears in the menu description of this dish three or four times. It is accurate. I will be back whenever I am in Vegas.
Best meal I've ever had by far. We tried most everything. Kobe, Wagyu, roasted suckling pig, seafood tower, jamon iberico, and much much more. Everything was amazing. The service was sensational, as is the energetic ambiance. I have a new must-visit for every trip to Vegas. Special shout out to the manager Panos who made a perfect night even better. I honestly can't wait to come back to Vegas just to have another incredible meal at Bazaar Meat!
It was our first time here and we Love love love bazaar meat! Walking in and smelling the astoundingly amazing aromas coming off the fire pit and then seeing the copious amounts of smiles, the different cuts of meat on display and the friendly staff was worth the visit before we even ordered! Pano the manager, Sunday and the countless attentive waiters that waited on us during our late dinner were and are amazing. They made us feel like we were family and celebrated guests the entire way. Telling us what they recommend and stories behind the dishes they were serving. Everything we ate was delicious and we had a lot to eat. Before we even ordered they gave us a run down on what and how to order. We ordered a near 2 LB wagyu angus beef steak and they explained how they cook it and how it was worth the wait and it was beyond what we could imagine in terms of taste and level of finish. Pano the manager specifically made our entire night by stopping by and taking the time to tell us about what he enjoys and some of his history in the business. If there was a possibility to give this place more than 5 stars we would, because the food was perfect, the Spanish tapas style eating was playful and perfect for date night, the staff were the most friendly and helpful (Thank you Sunday for being amazing!!!!), and we felt like family. We will definitely be back and I hope everyone gets a chance to experience this place.
This is what a once great restaurant that has basically given up looks like.
I was at Bazaar Meat a year ago and really loved it. A year later, the food and the service have gone downhill in a way I haven't seen many top-end restaurants deteriorate.
There are lots of rumours the place is shutting down. It feels like it's a mercy killing at this point.
For the money, there are countless better options in Vegas now.
