The drinks are too weak. You should hire experienced bartenders or train them better.
BayVue has just opened for a new season and as always, does not disappoint!
Quality remains consistent and one of our favorite Restaurants on any night. Our only regret is as the summer progresses it becomes much harder to be accommodated as the rudest of tourists and boaters show up. Still, it’s wonderful Food and a great Experience if you can get in during peak season. Go off hours and avoid Summer Weekends.
Have been here many times always was great food but has change for the worst menu has decrease a lot but on website they have old menu from years back so when you get there they have noting that’s on it very misleading portions are small and not as nearly as good as it used to be sad must be new owners
Relativity quiet on deck for late lunch .. Food was excellent . Would definitely go back ..
The waitress was so pleasant and accommodating but at some point she was MIA and we did have to wait for napkins and water, It was no biggy, She is super sweet. My food was great. Steak sandwich. My husband had the bass and it wasn’t good. You have an ant issue. Maybe because we were on the covered patio. One in my water. Another crawling on the table. I will cough it up to being off season. We went To you in the summer and it was great. We plan to go again by boat this summer. We’re not giving up on you yet!
Great place and rustic old style seafood place on the water.
We all enjoyed out meals and the only thing missing was the sunshine. This place is really nice on warm sunny days.
Restaurant is nicely located next to the water Food was good. Service was good too. However, be careful to order extra from the brunch menu because they will charge significantly for it.
We asked for salmon in our Egg bennedict and instead of getting lox, we got a whole piece of salmon for extra $10. We asked for a Bloody Mary and when asked about vodka preference we were surprised with $10 extra for grey goose. We don’t think that it was something to break the bank. But, they could have mentioned it.
Overall, ambievnace ia great!!! Mimosa was good and food was tasty. We will go back for sure.
BayVue is one of my favorite summer places, but its my choice for Valentine's Day.
The Restaurant was closed for the week. When we arrived there was a sign on the door. The online booking was accepted and the phone answering machine message also said nothing about it being closed. I had 8 people who had to quickly find another place. You’d think a professional restaurant would notify booking services and change their message when they’re closing. A sign on the door is not sufficient in this day and age. Very unprofessional.
Loved our waitress awesome at her job and great personality. Drinks bad. Apps ok. Dinner ok dessert good. Afterwards all of us didn’t feel to good if you know what I mean. Each one different reaction. Never go back again. Too bad it had a pretty view
We always enjoy this restaurant for the outdoor dining and casual atmosphere I definitely recommend it for a pleasant evening
Three of us has dinner here on Labor Day. Our waiter was not very attentive. Slightly messed up two of three orders. Fixed it, but took a while. Drinks took a long time to come out.
Food was ok. View was great. Kind of expensive.
Great restaurant with great food, great ambience, beautiful views, right on the water
If you want to stay cool during a hot summer day, avoid this place. The staff has not been trained to close the large sliding doors behind them. I stopped counting after closing the doors twenty times. I made sure it didn’t ruin my evening, but what’s the point of A/C and eating indoors if they forget to close the doors behind them? Cool-hot-cool-hot-cool. They should use the bar doors as much as they can instead of the main, large sliding doors. Ugh.
Food was delicious! The only negative was the slow service. We had ask for bread numerous times and had to wait a while every time we asked for more drinks. We had Kile as a waiter and he was excellent. Im lookibg forward to teying the brunch.
We had a wonderful time. The food was very good, the service was good and the views of the water were very scenic.
Food was excellent service and waitress was friendly and accommodating
Overall I was very unimpressed. Do not get the strip steak, I’m am being generous if the steak was more than a half inch this. Think Minute steak. Broiled seafood platter was marginal. Cajun shrimp and scallops were OK. Not really spicy for Cajun. Presentation was good but dish was on overall let down. Rolls were day old bread. Service was poor with waitress at one point shouting over our table about her son to someone at another table. Save your money and go elsewhere
Service was mediocre. View from deck is much better on the website. No suggestion from the waitress regarding menu options.
The food was excellent, albeit expensive. The service left something to be desired. After having been seated, the waiter did not come to the table for 20 minutes. We ordered a bottle of wine and 10 minutes later was told “we have no More White Zinfandel”. How you can run out of wine at 7:30 on a Saturday night is beyond comprehension. We then ordered a bottle of Pinot Grigio for which we waited another 20 minutes and it was served to us warm. We were told it was just taken out of the basement. Additionally our food was delivered 75 minutes after we were seated. We were never asked if we wanted bread. Once delivered the food was very good. We had to ask multiple times to have our water glasses refilled. Maybe other servers would be better so the overall service experience could be a better one than what we experienced
Went for dinner with another couple we were able to get an outdoor table but was put in the corner by the street side , waitress was nice but clearly overwhelmed as service was slow , had to ask the busboy to find waiteress so we could order another drink and we were never offered coffee /dessert just given the check. Food was little pricey but was pretty good . They do have a rooftop bar that we didn’t get to check out but suppose to be nice so we would go back .
It was mine and my 3 guest first time at Bayvue. I arrived early and was seated a bit begrudgingly since the other 3 did not arrive yet. First impression onto the patio was that the furniture was worn and dated but I was enjoying the view which made up for it. I ordered a cocktail while i waited -Bayvue Sunrise (drinks reasonably price but definitely could use a little more tequila. The waitress was a bit rude, when one of the second guest arrived - she was asking when the other 2 were coming- I explained our reservation was for 6pm and they would be there at that time- We asked her if she needed the table sarcastically since we were the only ones on the patio. Then when the other 2 arrived on time. They barely sat down and she was pushing to take their dinner order. We were all drinking cocktails and order appetizers and the place still have many available tables! We order the Cajun Shrimp and Scallops at her recommendation- it was one of the higher priced dinners on the menu at $32 per plate- It was very good- seafood was fresh and tender but a little pricey for 4 Shrimp and 4 Scallops. Good food and a beautiful view, has a lot of potential, if they freshen things up and speak to their Waitstaff on the proper etiquette on First time customers who are spending money especially coming on a Monday night that was slow. ( we also had desert and cappuccinos which were very good) All in all I would give it a 3 STAR Rating and possibly give it another visit to give it a chance for a better rating. The Occasion, celebrating a friend's Birthday.

We loved the sushi, the seared tuna and the seafood platter were delicious. We enjoyed sitting outside and listening the band in the background. The service was very good as well.
Great time with family and friend. Good food and fun ambience. Really liked our waiter I believe his name was Jay super friendly and nice. Will be back again.
A great value and ambiance. Friendly wait staff. A bit noisy but not overly so. Live music needs an upgrade but otherwise an enjoyable night
Lindenhurst waterfront dining - good for lite bite and lobster rolls in the summer but absolutely go for the view. Great outside seating on the marina. Food not so great but there's an outdoor-upstairs deck great for drinks.
The service was great but the food wasn’t good. My mom had the surf and turf and the lobster was over cooked, tough, and tasted nasty. I had the Mahi Mahi and it was dry and very salty. We also had the shrimp cocktail and it was over cooked. This was our second time to eat at BayVue and will be our last. The first time was about one year ago.
The outside deck was just perfect for the weather. Service was wonderful and the food was delicious. Portions were perfect. The prices are comparable to any restaurant for what we ordered. The drinks were made perfectly as well.
We had dinner on a Sunday evening to celebrate a birthday. We asked to be seated outside initially but the outdoor tables were on the small side and the one given to us was wet. So we asked to move to an inside table. Since it was a humid evening, this was the better choice because the doors to the back area were open and ceiling fans were running so it was very pleasant being inside, and the view of the South Bay was just as nice. Our party of 4 found the food and drinks to be good and the portions were healthy. Two of us had sushi, one had fish & chips and one had seared tuna. All were tasty and well done. The service was typical; not overbearing and not lax. We had to ask for one person's silverware to be replaced because it didn't look clean. There were what appeared to be quite a few young people about but none of them had any particular job to do and two young men decided to have a short lived but loud discussion about something right near our table. Overall, I think the floors needed sweeping and the general appearance seemed a bit in disarray. At least to me, that is a big no-no. It makes one wonder what goes on in the kitchen and in areas where the customer can't see what goes on. I had read mixed reviews about BayVue, but our plans had changed only a few hours before and I decided to take a chance on trying the place. I give this place a thumbs up with some reservations.
Was very happy with the restaurant! Our waiter, John was on top of everything and was very pleasant. Enjoyed the food and the view. Will be back
Service wasn’t too great. Went at 5:30pm and wasn’t busy. Food Did not meet my expectations for the amount of money I paid. Later that evening I want up getting sick from the food. This was my first and last time going to this place.
Good food. Great views
Loved being out on the water and the music was fantastic. Sushi was very good but broiled fish platter a little overcooked. It's a keeper because of its great location.
Food is very good. Service is extremely slow and inconsistent.
Had a great night on Saturday. Dinner was great, menu is extensive and they had a great duo playing singing great music!!!
Six of us met for a reunion of sorts. We were seated after a short wait. John, our server was great. Efficient, friendly and seemed like he appeared whenever we needed him. We all had different entrees and John helped us choose appetizers that were good for sharing. Everything was excellent. We were never rushed even though the Friday night crowd was building. We felt sorry for the overworked valet Parker’s that could never please the waiting customers. They did keep trying though.
