New American cuisine comes to life in this custom-designed location overlooking the harbor in Newport Beach, California. Award-winning Executive Chef Paul Gstrein brings culinary drama to his inventive dishes for lunch, dinner and the enormously popular Champagne Sunday Brunch. We had a really nice time celebrating our son’s birthday. Service was a bit slow, but honestly, who comes to a restaurant like this for speedy service? The live music was retro-cool, but also a bit loud which made conversation in a large group a bit of a challenge. The food was excellent!!!!

What a find! We have lived in the area for YEARS, but just discovered this wonderful place. By every measure (food, service, ambience, menu offerings) it is a winner. One nit, though, I do not understand why valet is provided. It is an unnecessary hassle in my opinion.

Have enjoyed this restaurant for many years. Food is consistently good as well as the service. Had the beet salad and the shrimp risotto. Both were delicious. We usually eat at the bar but decided we wanted a more intimate dinner in the dining section. We were not disappointed!

We felt cheated by the description of ‘bayside / harborside’ dining. A more accurate description might be ‘conveniently located on a busy highway with a bus stop right outside the door’

I had made a reservation for the dining area but when we got there I was told it was full. We did not want to sit in the bar because it is hard to have a conversation. We ate out on the patio which was nice but we couldn't hear any music at all. That was disappointing.

We were sitted in the outside patio by the hostess. Never given menus. Waited 15” but no one ever came to wait on us so we left.

Bad experience. Went to Waterline. Much better!

We got off to a bad start because we were seated at a table and then we sat and watched other people being seated and served drinks before anyone even approached our table. I finally had to catch the attention of the other waiter.
The food was good and we enjoyed the live music.

We went on Valentine's even't. I totally understand the almost an hour delay (even with reservation) on this kind of special day and maybe traffic or some how.

To be honest, the service is good even waitress was busy. Most of the food are good, but not excellent. As a person who graduate from the Hospitality major, we can make about the same level in school (with 2 to 3 semester training).

Please read the following in Bold and Large size:
The dessert were HORRIBLE, SERIOUSLY!!!
Everyone knows it was specially even for Valentine's Day! But both the dessert were really really really bad! I rather the restaurant bring out......let's stay.....GOVIDA chocolate Sampler or Strawberry covered w/ Chocolate (Dark / Milk selection). OR, maybe something like "Cabernet Sauvignon pour over Chocolate Ice Cream w/ Cherry or Strawberry decoration on top".
You know, dessert is the plate to make most of the ladies happy. And guys can only get happy when their spouse are happy. So, if you mess up the dessert, ladies are not happy, guys are not happy, they have high chance to break up just because of the dessert (or at least they won't have a good time after dinner and before bed time.) YOU KNOW??? HOW IMPORTANT IT IS?????

Please, be really care about your customers especially you are a high end restaurant.

Was Extremely Disappointed!!! The restaurant Way Overbooked reservations for Valentines Day and left it's customers standing in a Long line to check in and we got sooo fed up that we got seats at the bar, thinking we would eat there instead....after an hour waiting for our food to arrive, we had enough, paid for the drinks and left! Long story short, it's a great restaurant, however, I will Never eat here on a holiday or special day again, as the same thing happened around Xmas time as well.

Food was incredible. They didn’t honor our reservation because it was so busy but it was worth the wait. Will be going again for sure.
