We were celebrating our daughter’s 17th birthday and had not been to Bay Harbor in several years so decided to give it another try. We had a great view of the water and the server was attentive although they sat several tables at once (we had reservations and were told the other tables were walkins). The meal was decent but not amazing. Our daughters boyfriend got the seafood risotto and he said it tasted good but his portion size was really small for the money. Calamari was probably the best thing we had. The bread was underwhelming. Like store bought rolls - not what you’d expect from a high end restaurant. My husband nad I had 2 cocktails each, the three terms/young adult with us had water. Total cost of our meal with 20% gratuity was almost $500. I have no problem paying that when the meal is outstanding but this was not the case. The decor of the restaurant is in serious need of a makeover. One of the sinks in the women’s restroom does not turn on. Built in Soap dispensers are broke so two types of soap just sitting on vanity. Just has a really dated feel to it. Don’t think we will be returning unless the do a remodel and menu overhall. Too many nicer restaurants towards the Catawba island area that are waaay better.

It's our favorite place to go whenever we want to celebrate a special day like birthdays or an anniversary, the food is always good. If your lucky you can see a beautiful sunset, weather permitting, we enjoyed Scott our waiters excellent hospitality! Oh and by the way the cheesecake is out of this world!!

I go to Bay Harbor as often as I can. I have been going there for many, many years. It has been consistently one of the top restaurants on my list, as I’ve traveled extensively and have dine at some places considered world class and I must say there were a few that were less than and I’m always happy to come home and visit my friends at Bay Harbor. I know that without question my meal and dining experience will be “world class.”

Fantastic dining experience from beginning to end. The hostess was very friendly and welcoming. We had a great table by the window with a beautiful view. The service was outstanding and the food (filet mignon) was tender and delicious! Loved the pecan ball for dessert! The manager had very kind words as we left the restaurant.

Overall it was very good! Staff seemed overwhelmed but hit the high points. I think typical of the post Covid environment. Food was served correctly and hot but there were no special touches or extra effort. Everything seemed rushed.

At first glance the menue was pricy, but the quality of the food, atmosphere and service was worth the money. This is a more upscale resturant so if you are looking for a slower paced dinner that you can enjoy and not feel rushed this is a good choice.

I would say the food was better than average, a little pricey but very big portions. I had lobster bisque (good not great), stuffed mushrooms (toppings and fillings were excellent the mushrooms themselves were kind of bland, not real earthy like I was expecting) and the prime rib special (meat was excellent, veggies were good, the mashed potatoes were very bland and dry). The cheese cake was EXCELLENT, from the strawberry topping, real whipped cream and the cheese cake itself. Because it was my anniversary our waiter was gracious enough to bring us a complimentary piece of chocolate cake. Neither my wife nor myself and big chocolate fans so we each had a piece, it was ok, to us, but very very very chocolate, so if you like that give it a try.
