Bay Grille & Bar
Cuddle up next to our indoor fireplace and enjoy a glass of wine. Whether you are looking for a place to get your evening started or the destination that will keep you entertained, The Bay Grille has you covered.
Reserved a table for 12, when we arrived we were seated at 2 tables for 6. They were not able to move the tables together because they were heavy. They did not offer another seating even though there was seating available. The server treated us as two parties even after we explained we were the same group multiple times. The food was just okay. I won’t choose to return
Visited on New Year’s Eve 2018. We were seated in an area with limited wait staff. The appetizer of salad and calamari was average. Imagine my surprise when we were asked if we wanted dessert before out entrées were even served. My boyfriend and I were completely surprised by this faux pas. When our entrée was finally serviced, it was cold and poorly presented. The waitress removed the entrée from our bill but it did little to reduce the disappointment that we felt during our experience. Eat here at your own risk. The hotel is undergoing renovations, and they are not concerned with pleasing the customers that do choose to visit their establishment. As a Hilton Honors Diamond Members we deserve better treatment,
I had RSVP for a nice dinner, got a table in the bar. No good, I was planning on a nice romantic dinner with my wife before going to a Black Tie New Years party, dinner in a bar not the same!
We had a leisurely dinner with friends. Beautiful view of the sunset! My entree was not at the temperature it needed to be (lukewarm) which was a drawback. Otherwise it was a good experience and so nice to be in a place where we could hold conversation at a normal level.
The only drawback is it is in a hotel, and that you have to pay 26.00 dollars for parking unless you park across from the hotel. The food and service were okay, nothing to write home about. The presentation of the food was nice and so was the host.
The Bay Grille was a pretty good Christmas Day dining experience until we left. Both cars in our party were charged $14 for parking, even though the web site specified that parking was complimentary and when we entered, the valet told us we had 3 hours of free parking if we were eating in the restaurant. A guest in the hotel swiped her room key for one of our drivers to get out of the parking lot free, but the other drive had to put $14 on her credit card to get out. Subsequent efforts to get a refund have resulted in being hung up on, being sent to an "accounting" number that doesn't answer, and lots of finger-pointing at some other entity. If you go, park outside the lot.
This was a last minute decision but found a nice table at the restaurant near the fire place. The appetizers, artichoke and guacamole dip and the flatbread were very good. Better yet, the fish of the fish and chips dinner was cooked perfectly, not greasy at all and the fish was hot and flaky. The service was very good with attentiveness but not hovering a positive. It is not a place I would go for "fine" dining but certainly would recommend it to anyone for a place to receive a very good meal in an atmosphere that can be lively but not over so.
It was empty but the ambiance is warm. They should re furnish the lounge with sofas and dimmer lights. It’ll be a great hang out
The service was very good! Nice fire pit for atmosphere.
Exceeded our expectations. Food was excellent and the service was impeccable!
Our server was fantastic so I don’t want this to be a reflection of her. But the food was horrible. Our steak tasted like it was pulled from the package and straight to the grill. It was over cooked. We just wanted out of there and vow to never retur.
Extended Family Gathering
Great service and food was good too with a view .
We will definitely be coming back for another team event
Very nice clear day with veiw of mareina.
Fish & Fries yummy. Service was awesome only one's in resturant 11:30 am.
The service was slow with our waitress doing double duty as bartender and paying more attention to the bar than our table
Food was fine, however the waitress was less than welcoming. Unfortunately The waitress attitude effected the rest of the experience, the food was adequate, but I would not return due to the service.
First Anniversary While the view and the restaurant facility is excellent service makes a big difference. Would have provided a higher rating but the response to correcting the meals was received poorly.
The hotel staff were very polite and friendly. The food delicious and arrived quickly. We arrived for 4th of July festivities which a window seat as requested. The price is a little high here but the view, food and staff make it acceptable.
On a road trip and met friends who live in the Bay area. Turned out to be a truly great meal and the ambiance was perfect. SF was a bit foggy in the distance.
Staff was great.
Accommodated about 40 of our business group (Tax seminar) all at once.
Not easy but handled with aplomb.
The view is amazing but Mother's Day brunch was a disappointment. Limited options and overpriced. The service was slow and we had to go to the bar for our beverages, including the kids drinks.
Good for Mother's Day brunch.
The waiter gave me a regular coffee instead of decaf. This is important to those of us who don't do well with caffeine. I couldn't sleep until 2 am.
Just a fine meal I wouldn’t return
I used to really enjoy coming here. Sadly, the menu has been changed a LOT since my last visit. Far too much fried food on it now, or a hamburger, and the salad I had was much smaller than others served before. Even with chicken, it was not a meal's worth.
Really enjoyed our meal, wine and terrific service at Bay Grille & Bar. Fun restaurant with beautiful view and ambiance.
The waiter roger was awesome and very nice. Real friendly! Food was great too
I had the crab cakes for appetizers and salmon & angel hair pasta. I'm so glad I was able to take a crab cake and half of my salmon dish home. It was excellent as a left over.
This place is good to run way from East Bay hot weather have a margarita on the rocks, cooling off by getting cold breeze and enjoy great sunset and marina boats view...Get your jacket just in case...
Next to that Bay Grill & Bar you'll see Events & Meetings area where people celebrates they BD's and anniversaries, so you can enjoy that show watching they funny dancing's behind the glass. Some entertainment for you if you'll get really bored.
Ordered the fish tacos and the cabbage was visibly black, as if it was quite old.
The grilled ribeye was well cooked but tasteless.
We chose it as a central location for three families to meet up. One from Sonoma County, one from Benicia and one fromSan Benito county, South of San Jose. We did not do the brunch and so the restaurant had quieted down and it was ideal.
I stayed here once for a meeting and a fire alarm went off in the middle of the night for acouple hours. It was terrible.
However, it was perfect for the Father's Day gathering we had and we all enjoyed the gorgeous setting. The food was very good and the staff had a positive attitude and were helpful. They were enjoyable, talkative (when invited into the conversation) people to have around. A wonderful day with travelers coming a long way, everyone helped make it all work out. Thank you.
Unfortunately, the food isn't as good as it used to be with lox and bagels noticeably no longer available on the buffet (one of our favorites). Also, I spent 30 mins trying to call and talk to a live person to find out the times on Father's day brunch, and got transferred to recordings or voicemail 7 or 8 times. Too bad, this was one of our favorite spots in the past. View is still great and wait staff very nice.
We dined here for the Mother's Day Brunch. We have been here before for Mother's Day over 8 year's ago. Boy, things have changed. It was not as crowded as before, which was a good thing. The ambiance and scenery was excellent, of course. However, the actual brunch was not so great. A smaller selection. Not much of a breakfast selection except omelets, bacon, and sausages. No toast, waffles, etc. The salad bar was very small and not enough variety. The lettuce was not that fresh. The lunch was just okay. Not enough variety. The desserts were horrible and tasted stale and hard. The price for Mother's day was $59 for adult and $29 for children. Normally for Mother's day, you have the kids with you, so not a good spot for kids as selection does not cater to them. Overall, it was an OK experience. I would recommend without kids and not high expectations. However, I do not plan to return anytime soon nor for a Mother's Day Brunch.
I took my mom there for Mother's Day. Despite the scaled back menu selection and minus the table cloth, the food and service was very good.
The ambiance is relaxing. Gorgeous view and indoor fireplace. Our meal was good but not great. I expected to be wowed for the price but was not. For dessert we got the apple tart with vanilla ice cream. Tart was ok...ice cream tasted like it had freezer burn. If I stay at the Hilton Doubletree again I would come here for drinks and an appetizer and sit at the bar to enjoy the view.
Our most recent dining experience was Easter 2017,but I've eaten there before on Christmas, Mother's Day and birthdays so any time it's excellent. Our favorite waiter Sasour has been there 17 years.
Great place and view. Food was great.
The staff was outstanding as was the food. They had our table ready and right by the fireplace. They were very concerned about us as people and that we enjoyed ourselves and the food.
Arrived during heavy rainstorm at night. Good food and company. Looking forward to returning in the daytime as there is a great view along with great food.
