Baxter’s never disappoints. Thank you, Baxter’s, for consistently delivering the best dining experience when coming home to the lake.
Had a great time. My steak was delicious. Very enjoyable evening.
Perfect again as always. Our grandaughter's 1st time at Baxter's with her parents and both sets of grandparents. Special.
Food was “top notch” and service was superb. One of the best places to eat me and my wife have found in Missouri. We will be going back as soon as we can. Thanks for a great dining experience.
Food was good, my wife ordered shrimp, which was overcooked. Other wise food was well prepared.
I reserved a table for a Valentine's Day dinner date. Our table was ready at our specified time and the service was amazing. We were well taken care of and our meal was outstanding - such great flavors and presentation. It exceeded my expectations for the evening.
Great Restaurant. I've been there before always have had good experiences. The waitress was great and had a good sense of humor.
We have lived near the lake area for several years, but had never tried Baxter's, so Valentine's Day seemed like an ideal time to give it a try. We were seated within 5 minutes of our reservation, our server was very nice and very attentive, especially considering how crowded they were. The crab cakes were excellent, good crunch on the outside and little to no filler in the crab. I was disappointed in the clam chowder, which had an overwhelming herb flavor to it (I believe it was sage), but our server very graciously replaced it with a salad, which was delicious. My wife's salmon was a bit undercooked for my taste, but she was fine with it. While my filet was perfectly cooked and seasoned, the scallops were just a bit overdone, though the flavor was there. The gooey butter cake with cinnamon ice cream was a wonderfully delicious end to our meal. The noise level was moderate (not quite what you might want for a romantic dinner), but certainly understandable given the full house. Overall, it was a delightful evening and we look forward to returning, perhaps reserving a table by the window, for a full lake view.
Very consistent and fairly priced. View is incredible!
In the top 5 places to eat at Lake Ozark. My number one.
With working on Valentine's day, I wanted to still treat her to a wonderful dinner. Was a wonderful view and great food.
The HVAC system was rather loud, but then again it was raining ice pellets. Best view from the tables at the Lake. Low cab, low calorie it is not. Great wedge.
We come to the area for a marriage retreat. We happened to find this restaurant last year and decided it was so good to come back again. The food comes out looking beautiful but taste even better. The rolls are heavenly. We were so full that we got our Vanilla Bean Cheesecake to go and it was amazing.
We were pleasantly surprised to find a restaurant with decent steaks, nice atmosphere, good service, and a very good view.
First. The bad.Our server Jesse seemed uninterested and in my opinion he was new. The lighting is to low here and I could barely read the menu. We were sat promptly as we had a reservation. Cocktails were tasty(cucumber martini). We had the charcuterie tray as a app and as a lover of cured meats and cheeses, this was sorely lacking both in presentation and quality product. Cesar salad was no better. Small with to little dressing and the lettuce was not fresh. There was no beer/cocktail menu and I had to go online to se what the beverage options were. Wine list was provided and it was lackluster. Bring your own bottle. No corkage fees listed and I observed parties bringing their own.
Now,I had the sea bass entree and thought it was done very well. Definitely the highlight of the meal. Desert menu was sorely lacking and we passed on having any.
The waterfront view was nice and I did not think it was overly noisy. I was critical of this establishment. I am a professional chef and I have higher than average expectations when I dine out. If your a serious foodie,go elsewhere.
